  1. 20% Canadian, not 20% Toronto. I wonder how much of that 20% lies closer to Buffalo than it does to Toronto?
  2. I would think they would need to prove in some way he did this to get around the taxes, selling something on a future date is not illegal. I would also think "not selling this until I die" is perfectly legidament reason not to sell as it would protect his legacy. Not sure how the IRS or anyone else could prove he did it to bypass taxes.
  3. If there was something in place that he didn't want to reveal, you don't think he would at least mention to his "buddies" in Toronto that the team won't hit the open market? Why let them waste resources, you already have other deals with them? ?
  4. I agree with this, but don't want to spend the rest of the year watching him "manage" games while throwing for 110, 120 yards. I want to see this kid throw the ball all over the field. By this I don't mean 35-40 attempts per game, but damn use the whole field. Let's not just play the game in 10 yard chunks all day while praying for. 1st down or defensive penalty. .
  5. This what I believe to be the case also how many times have we heard EJ called an audible. But they usually stand behind it. I think EJ is afraid to fail; ie afraid to throw the ball unless the receiver is wide open. No timing routes, afraid to throw the ball to a spot before the receiver makes his break. I guess it could come down to his 1st game back and no chemistry with the receivers. But it seemed that way early on also. We have nothing to lose now, throw the damn ball. Let's see just what we have. If it's not there we should highly consider a quarterback with our 1st pick again next year. .
  6. With 5 minutes +/- left in the 1st half Bflo was up 10-7 and actually had a 2 minute edge in time of possession it was all down hill from there. Too many 3 and outs.
  7. We need one of the guys that catch's everything and is strong enough to take the ball or go fight for it. We have no one like that.
  8. I agree with an earlier poster, say what you will, but he didn't have to do it. Thanks Mr Wilson.
  9. They offered him a contract and I am betting it was fair, number 1 safety money wasn't deserved.
  10. Yes! There were no defenders near him. Of course he was sitting on the bench injured most of the time.
  11. Bird has only been a pro bowl participant as an alternate.
  12. I think there are valid reasons for this. As previously mentioned he showed up on the roster just before the 1st game. On top of that we had multiple injuries and were even forced to carry two kickers. With EJ playing there was no reason to play musical chairs with the backup quarterbacks. Especially if they had more faith in Tuel before seeing him in a live game.
  13. I agree and believe most people on the board do, if he is legitamently hurt and thinks he will hurt the team or himself he shouldn't play. Most of the negative responses are assuming this is not the case. It was what I replied to. If he is not in that amount of pain where his presence is a deterant, or in no pain, and simply sitting out to prove a point then he is not honoring his contract and that is NOT a right given in the CBA. If he leaves the team and doesn't get paid, I would think he is standing on principal. Unemployment and welfare fraud are still wrong even if people believe they are owed something.
  14. It's apples to oranges.
  15. I didn't wish the injury upon him. He would still be injured whether I or anyone else was happy or sad. I'll go with happy!
  16. I don't have a link or even remember the game, but am sure I have seen this philosophy before. Where the quarterback wastes additional time before taking a knee. I believe I have seen the Bills do it before as well as other teams. While not 100% positive I am sure I have seen it before and think Fitz did it in one game 3-4 years ago?
  17. Jairus reminds me of the kid that takes the ball and goes home because darn it all he is right and that is his right! Disclaimer: unless he is actually hurt.
  18. There is intent and the spirit of the contract. Neither of which is being followed.
  19. I wish he would take off a little quicker. I know he's trying to stay in the pocket, but take off if it's there.
  20. If he felt that strongly about it he didn't have to sign the 1 year tender contract. No one made him do that. He did that on his own. No matter what the rules are that forced it, he signed a contract. Which means he agreed to it.
  21. Tired of hearing it's a business. If it's a business and if he can play he should. He didn't like it, but he still signed a 1 year contract. That's the point. If he is too hurt ok, but you have to admit this 100% thing makes one wonder.
  22. So just because it's a business he should ignore the players negotiated CBA all on his own? I was on his side until the 100% thing. For all we know Marrone isn't pushing him because he isn't sure if he learned the defense yet. Given his limited practice time.
  23. What scares me is what will be the financial plan of a new owner. Still a small market club but now with debt. Kind of like Clevland and each new owner there has achieved such positive results. Scary thought. Ralph keeps the budget in check, but not because he is forced to. 20 years could be more of a reality than we think. Our best hope is to get lucky and hopefully we did that with EJ and Marrone or it's more of the same.
  24. Do we even know for sure that they were targeting Woods or Kiki, sure they'll say they were. If "thier guy" was taken not sure they would admit that. Also could have been a this guy or that guy if either is available?
