What does everyone think?
firemedic replied to Buffalonian-at-Heart's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We need to have our recievers cut off routes at midrange to get them in the mix especially if the heat is on Trent. Go deep every so often to keep them honest, then a quick stop and turn around here and there. Slants are nice too. -
Fred Jackson is better then Adrian Peterson (2 games)
firemedic replied to DIE HARD 1967's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's my take for what it's worth: Definately keep Freddy as the feature back, Marshawn made his own bed now he has to sleep in it. Keep Marshawn as a change of pace (smash em in the mouth) and for if Freddy gets hurt. Also would be a real twister for opposing teams if we had a good two back play set. -
Exactly, our d-line is playing better, which allows those blitzes to get real close. Last year, the d-line was getting owned and the blitz got swallowed up, now it's effective.

Roscoe is REALLY FAST. We NEED to get him more involved somehow, especially with the line shaping up well (giving more time to develope plays/routes)

That sucks, I partied with him during the alumni weekend in 2003, he was a sergeant with the Detriot? (IFRC) police dept. Class act, RIP Booker.

next week - Bills play a legitimately good team
firemedic replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought the pass rush started to look better towards the end, Leftwitch was flippin' and hopin' several times during the last drives. The touchdown drive was an act of nature with the two plays from out of nowhere. -
WHOA Trent PWNED Brady - check it out
firemedic replied to SouthGeorgiaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The coaches may have called this type of gameplan (quick developing) to offset the OL's youth. However, the line looked pretty righteous considering and we may see some longer developing plays (TD bombs) sooner rather than later. Pissed off that we lost but we made a game of it. -
Bills player home vandalized

NOT COOL, whoever did it. -
Correct me if I'm wrong but I understood that the front office told JP to show up to camp in '08 and they would redo his contract. JP didn't show up and then didn't play, admitting as much at the end of '08 season. Would a real-world employer give a raise to a person who didn't attempt to do their job as well as possible? If I were Peters, I would have shown up, showed good faith and probably had a deal by the start of the regular season. Once again, correct me if I'm ill informed. Thanks and you guys rock, GO BILLS.

Hopefully, we'll be up by 13+ pts in the 4th quarter allowing us to slow it down.

EXACTLY, two big fat studs are always better than one. Didn't we have the #1 defense that year? Let's get Henderson (or other stud) and watch teams try to run AROUND us. Since we go 4-3, we have one less linebacker at second level so we need animals at the first level. Funny, but I thought we had the #1 defense back when Fred Smerlas played (different alignment I know, but still had stud in middle).

Florio thinks the Bills will make a run at Vick

Numerous people have compared humans to animals. For the most part (there are exceptions) humans get themselves into and/or are able to get themselves out of bad situations. Animals simply go where they are led. Humans, being blessed with intellect must accept the responsibility of decency that goes with it. There's a real problem with humanity (I see it every day on the job and in the news); there's no acceptance of responsibility/accountability for one's actions. Think about it....... -

Peters sack totals (maybe not that bad)
firemedic replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The safety that killed TE came from Walker's side (not blaming Walker necessarily but it was from Trent's right side) -
Take a few minutes and watch this....

I posted before but it didn't come up. I was a paramedic doing game coverage that day, freezing in the tunnel on the press side (Kelly's dropped ball rollout right at me) saw the whole game. GOOD TIMES -

Throwbacks Jerseys Keep em Fulltime
firemedic replied to Bufcomments's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When I heard that they were changing uniforms, I thought they would keep the same colors (as the 90's) but would make them metallic (see: San Fran, Seattle, Philly) I say go back to the original royal blues, and if they have to mess with it, go metallic. What say? -

NBC Sports on the Peters' Sack Stat
firemedic replied to thebandit27's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sack #20. If you engage a defender, you must keep that engagement throughout play. You don't tap him on the way by. No one came outside of Dockery except the safety whom Peters should have crushed. Many of those beatdowns were straight one on ones where Peters got tossed. Shouldn't be that hard to get out of a stance when you're simply squatting a little. I wasn't impressed with Peters on the vast majority of those clips. -
If I remember correctly, when JP started missing voluntaries last year, the team asked that he simply show up to work and negotiations would begin immediately. I don't believe he'd have been any better this year than last year and maybe worse (at least out of game shape again). I wouldn't mind seeing Langston on the left, seems like he did alright, and Demetrius on right. Football is a team sport, show you give a about your team who depends on you and you get paid (see LE/MS). As with McGahee, the Bills made the right choice on this one.

Exactly. The last time we beat the patsies was when we had SAM ADAMS and PAT WILLIAMS (back to my original post-2 stud DTs)

Diehard fan for years. My first post ever so be gentle on the newbie....... We should draft a stud DT. 1) Each DT (Stroud and rookie) will enhance one another's playmaking ability by taking away double teams from the other. This may increase the VALUE of our 11th pick to a 6th or 7th overall. 2) Opposing teams will not run on us (remember Ted and Pat?) 3) We'll run pressure right down the QB's throat like has been done to us for years, enhancing our DE's/Backers. 4) Defense will get off the field faster, allowing offense more time to hopefully score. 5) We'll win the field position/time of possession battle every time. 6) DT should make an impact very soon. What do you think?
