  1. This move was about a culture change. Marshawn was a no-show for team activities, poor work ethic. Chan and Buddy are trying to change the culture by getting rid of guys like Trent and Marshawn. Trust me, I liked Marshawn, but Spiller will be better. Marshawn would have left in a year and half. Might as well completely seal up the #1 overall pick and start fresh.
  2. His defense had 10 sacks last night. That's more than we will have all season... Go Bills.
  3. Not a bad thought. If we truly are "years away" then it might make sense, get a high draft pick/player now, draft a young guy with a lower draft pick then what we get in return. What's his age?
  4. Garrard has been awful this year and their backup is 38 years old. As bad as Trent is, can you blame them?
  5. +1. And if you get drunk enough she might look like a 7 or 8 - good enough to look at for 3 hours once per week. Disagree on Williams though - it's not his fault the LBs suck.
  6. Byrd is good, but is NOT the best player on our defense, which says a lot. Byrd has the POTENTIAL to be something special, but right now has multiple holes in his game. Can't tackle in the open field, poor angles/run support. He's one dimensional - which makes him ineffective when there is no pash rush and the QB has all day to pick apart the defense. Best player? See Kyle Williams, who despite no help around him consistently makes plays.
  7. The loser mentality comes from the top. This is how we teach and develop our players.
  8. They are laughing at YOU Donte.. Physically you are good enough to play in the league but you are mentally weak. Teams pick you apart and gameplan to do so. Then they tell you that's what they do, they execute on it and then they laugh about it.
  9. Exactly. If he's not ready to beat Green and Bell in practice, he's not ready for the Patriots. This was purely a hit or miss pick on another project player with upside.
  10. Brady played with him today. I'm pretty sure he just looked at where Donte and Keith Ellison were on every play and threw it to the guy they were covering. Bryan Scott was a beast today and should be starting over Donte. Missed on that TD to Gronkowski but that play was just perfectly executed. No reason for Donte to see the field anymore - he's not a building block.
  11. Dude seriously watch the game next time... Williams is our best player. He had a sack, a key 3rd down blocked pass, was penetrating the line while double teamed consistently. Even Tom Brady says he's our best defensive player. He can't do it all. The LBs in the middle are awful.
  12. The problem is we will undoubtedly blow this pick. We still have Evans locked up for a few years and would be picking someone like Easley in the 3rd round - either a project or a slow guy. No deal.
  13. He looked awful last week. AND he has an offensive line, better running game and a better coach.
  14. Agreed - big negative sign. At this point, what was his option? He doesn't want to get fired half way through his first season, so he has to push the blame to someone else. Maybe his lack of a "spark" was being outcoached 24-0 in the second half. Nice halftime adjustments Chan.
  15. Exactly. They both are garbage. The only real debate is which is worse, but that's just splitting hairs.
  16. That's three straight coaching staffs that have made him 3rd string/practice squad when there wasn't tremendous talent in front of him. That trend says something.
  17. A 2nd string QB needs to be able to be a "spark" when needed and be good at reading defenses. So he doesn't work in that role. A 3rd QB typically is a project/prospect which he is neither. Not sure he has a fit in the NFL.
  18. I assume he is done in the NFL. No 300 yrd games in entire college/NFL career. Made of glass. Bad sideburns/haircut. Thoughts?
  19. So basically trade for all the disgruntled players on winning teams and put them on the worst team in football - what is viewed around the league as football siberia and they will be happy and win? Not saying I wouldn't want more talent on the team, but come on man. These guys don't want to play for the Bills. Nobody does unless we are overpaying them, which we won't and shouldn't.
  20. Spiller is our best player. How about our coach figures out how to use him...
  21. Agreed. Every year everyone's like "we're 3-4 years away from (playoffs/championship/superbowl)". Right now we are 3-4 years away from a new coaching staff and a top 5 pick. Sadly, it's not getting better anytime soon.
  22. Come on man he clearly wasn't worth that 7th round pick we spent on Brown and Calloway...
  23. Billsfreak... to clarify. Give the Bills the #1 OL in the league and Trent is ______ (fill in the blank).
  24. Understood. I know they are limiting Bell to 1/3 - 1/2 of the game due to his injury from last year. I think he can be okay, but that's his ceiling. Get someone else in the offseason. Yeah, but Maybin is better. Just ask the front office.
  25. You're right - Bell is pro-bowl. Seriously? Just stop it. And don't defend Trent - it's like a 6 year old playing Madden where he just runs backwards and locks on one receiver. How about talking about the real issues - like getting outcoached 24-0 in the second half. Chan's "halftime adjustments" really outsmarted Sherman.
