Exactly - that's how we got worse this year. From a big picture perspective, how the organization has gotten worse over the years is that Wilson is getting older and has been making worse decisions year after year in terms of the draft, hiring coaches and management. He still makes these decisions, which he clearly is not capable of.

We are going to take Luck or Christian Ponder. Both are ready for the NFL. Locker and Mallett are both too inconsistent right now and will take time to develop. Everyone says Mallet and Locker = accuracy, but that's not true. Watch the games. They look unbelievable one drive and miss wide open guys repeatedly the next drive. They are projects which are better off being taken in the second half of the first round to a team that doesn't need them year 1.

Those are all depth players, except maybe Poz if you stick 3 good LBs around him. That's it... I'd like Merriman but he doesn't do anything for us - he can't rush the QB anymore and his legs are shot. Right now he's like every other LB we've got.

Look, I get what you are saying, but the Bills have the worst linebackers in all of football and maybe in team history and Maybin isn't even good enough to play mop-up duty. If he hasn't earned it, he should ride the bench. That's how it should work - no free passes because you're a first rounder. He is an average special teams player at best. Everyone should just forget his name because he will be gone in 1-2 years if not sooner.

True, but Bell has more potential than Andre Anderson. It's the little things that this organization does so poorly that adds up over time.

The Bills have just 6 sacks total through 5 games. Clay Matthews leads the league with 7. The Giants defense as a team (led by Perry Fewell) had 10 sacks just last week! Maybin - 5 tackles through 5 games, 2 were assists, no sacks. Ellis - 5 tackles, 2 were assists. Carrington - 1 tackle. Troup - 8 tackles through 5 games, 2 were assists. Ayodele - 21 tackles in 4 games. Picked off the street after week 1. Terrell Owens is 5th in the league in receiving yards, on pace for one of his greatest seasons ever statistically. Fitzpatrick has a 99.9 QB rating through 2 games, both losses. Maybe QB shouldn't be top priority.

Modrak is semi-retired. He doesn't even work at OBD - he lives in FLORIDA! Buddy Nix is a joke too - make some f'in phone calls, or better yet - trade Lynch in the offseason!! He cost us Joique Bell by sitting on Lynch.

Your mistake was that you didn't pay attention to the big picture - you had a fan bias. Lost better coaches (B-list, except Jauron) and brought in C-listers, lost Schoebel, Denny, Butler, TO, Reed, Wendling, Schoeman, Fine and replaced them with nobodys. Torbor and Davis are 5th-6th linebackers that we signed to START. The only decent signing was Dwan Edwards. New scheme/coaches = learning curve. The draft class only had one guy who can contribute this year, Spiller, and you knew he wasn't going to get a ton of touches because of a crowded backfield. All other picks are projects. Also, moving guys like Kelsay to OLB and having him cover tight ends? Recipe for disaster. I'm suprised you didn't read the huge sign hanging above the team that showed at least 2-3 more losses than last year.

Actually it's both. We're always in it in the first half, then at halftime the other team makes adjustments and we don't and the Bills get blown out. Listening to the game, Mark Kelso is making comments "this guy is way out of place" "this guy didn't understand where he was supposed to be on that play". It was like that all game long. Nobody knows what the hell they are doing out there.

Disagree. Remember at this years draft when they asked Buddy why he didn't trade around? He said he doesn't know how to do it, so he just sits put and picks when it's his turn. Plus, they NEED this to sell tickets for next season.

I said he was the best player in the game, averaging 6.1 ypc. But if you want to take it a step further... yes, I do believe that at this moment, he is the most complete rusher of the three backs. Just ask Bill Belichick.

That was our first special teams score of the year and first turnover of the year and they both happened in one game. All I'm saying is right now that is an exception, and not a rule for how we play football. Don't count on it every game. The way our defense is playing, 20 offensive points doesn't cut it.
