  1. See, that's funny. I 100% believe that Schmidt is the long term answer at punter. Watched 2 9ers ps games and he was booming punts with great hang time. Gay was signed as insurance if no one better came along. Someone a lot better did
  2. That would have been funny....in 1998. Grow up
  3. I read a number of posts , pre-draft, from individuals who were high on Skov. He's available now after the 9ers released him. Anyone see him as a replacement for any of the Bills current LB crop?
  4. Why? Because he knows the offense? Because he has shown much of anything? There are far better project QB's out there. Tuel should find a new career path
  5. I'd argue in favor of Whaley being a good GM who, like every GM in history, has made a couple of errors. Unfortunately his OC, a rather key factor on a NFL team, is chief amongst them. That is making things very stressful right now at OBD.
  6. This. Needs. To. Happen I watched each of the Hawks preseason games. The guy can toss the pigskin and is as fleet of foot as anyone in the league at QB. Very surprised he was cut
  7. That is a possibility...as is most any QB who gets cut. The Bills have to be looking at today's cuts with extreme intensity. I wouldn't expect a pick-up at most any other position, save for someone being a massive surprise cut. guard is an option, but I don't get the sense that they will look elsewhere.
  8. Our..... The word is our.....sheesh...
  9. The issue here may be the availability of good punters. Gay is not the solution, but Moorman is long past being the answer as well. I scanned other rosters for possible cuts and the best I could come up with is 40 year old Sav Rocca....not a pretty list. Maybe there's a rookie or camp fodder with promise I missed?
  10. Ugghhh. If it's a season of these threads, it's gonna be ugly.
  11. Upper decker. Classic Whaley move...classic....
  12. Logic?!! Who the hell wants to hear about logic when we can play guessing games and make assumptions?! I assume it has something to do with the Logan Mankins trade and Whaley not offering Lee Smith for him. That has to be it...right? Right?
  13. So, is it acceptable to pick-up Belicheat's scraps? He'd be worth a look at least.
  14. I would put money on it that Sancheese is a Ram really quick. I don't see them as back-up QB competition. I'd be fine with taking Ponder off the Vikes hands, but Kyle Orton would be the ideal available man for the job
  15. I can respect the inclusion of Hawks fans as I have been witness to their loyalty as a 18 year Pacific Northwest resident. However, not including the Chiefs or Bills fans has made this a joke
  16. Hughes was actually lauded by Marrone in the presser after the incident (this is not two days in a row, but a re-hash of yesterdays incident) as being great in practice. He wished other starters went as hard as Hughes were his exact words. Kicking one of the top DE's off the team is not the answer. Actually, it would be a really stupid response. Also, though Hughes was the most vocal, Marrone stated that he directed his statements at everyone on the sideline.
  17. I will weigh in as a Ducks fan. The guy is a head case, but he's an incredibly talented one. He is an excellent blocker, has great hands and is supremely athletic. I actually expected him to be the Packers long term TE if they could reign him in. I wouldn't argue for a second if the Bills could stash him on the PS for a year somehow.
  18. If I may add something of value here; Pryor got those stats as a 3rd teamer against likely camp cuts. I watched the last Hawks game and his massive run was impressive, but he's sitting behind Tarvaris Jackson as the 3rd string QB in Seattle. Anyone clamoring for TJax?
  19. I highly, highly doubt this. The only way TJ makes it is if they keep 7 WR's. He's not taking out Goodwin, Hogan or Woods. He's definitely not taking out Caveman or Sammy and he can't play ST like Easley.
  20. I think they would have done this to give him an opportunity to catch on elsewhere, not on the PS. Wish him luck in whatever he does. Didn't think he looked terrible on the field and had the rep of a hard worker.
  21. Man there are some sensitive people on this thread. Cohen deserves your attention! He is actually looking quite good this preseason.
  22. Was a definite Stevie fan in Buffalo. Still like him, but it's rather unfortunate that he's with the 49ers. Will never cheer for him in that uniform. Unless he drops a pass
  23. His ability to leap and high point the ball is darned impressive, but it's his strength that impresses me most so far. Not too many wr's in the NFL have the hands and strength of Mike Williams.
  24. You are mis-remembering. He was shown the door by management after a certain prank call went viral. About nobody wanting him to fail, I can only hope that you're right. No fan should be that masochistic.
  25. Here's the thing with the availability vs. performance debate. If he's not available, the Bills still dress Easley who has shown the ability to play WR if/when called to action. Goodwin may be a luxury, but he is easily affordable.
