8 months to plan for it, what's the first play?

Run play. Spiller between Chris Williams and Glenn for 8 yards. -
Crap. After he practised on Friday, I thought he had a chance. I'd love to see him at least available. Brooks is gonna be the first man up, and you know the DB's are gonna be getting a workout with Marshall and Alshon. Might get a chance to see what Cockrell is made of.

Report: Harbaugh losing locker room in SF
VanCity replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I heard that it's more the khakis than anything. The way this guy coaches (arrogance seems to be his calling card) and the teams offensive regression this pre-season, coupled with His lack of an extension this off-season, lead me to believe this guy is on a short leash. He's not eliciting any pity from me. Should never have tried to throw to that weak-ass receiver Crabtree in the NFC championship game :-) -
That was a fine piece of work right there. Thanks for providing me with 12 minutes that perfectly details why I am still an optimistic Bills fan.

I think you MIGHT see Kyle Orton today

If Marrone pulls EJ, it would have to have been a disaster game. I don't see that in the forecast. I see the Bills putting up 24 points on the board and Chicago's crappy defense being a confidence builder for EJ. These aren't Lovie and Urlacher's Bears. -
At home. 6 pack of my favorite Bitter, Blood Alley by Russell Brewing, homemade hot wings, nachos and some veggies to make me feel better about myself. That accompanied by clenched fists, sweaty palms and my standard look on my face that can only mean that I am an NFL fan whose team completely lacks any ability to give me confidence in a win. In any regards, GO BILLS!

Marrone yells to Russ "go ahead and fire me"

33 pages and it was summed up on page 3. -
This is a tone-setter for the season for 2 Super Bowl favorites. I, based on what I witnessed in pre-season, see the Hawks coming out on top. That D was not effected by the rules changed specifically to stop them and their O was on point from the get go. Thank God the Bills don't have the Hawks for another two years.

ESPN Power Rankings/Watkins Trade
VanCity replied to Gabe Northern's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was watching the draft and saw the Browns gave up three first rounders to move up 6 spots, but then gave up three second rounders to get back those three first rounders because Seattle wanted to move up one spot.....wait....was I watching the real draft? In reality, it was a ballsy move. Watkins was the dominant offensive player in this draft. This should not be argued. However, unless you believe that EJ is a bona fide franchise QB and will markedly improve this year, it cost this team a sizable drafting opportunity in 2015. After week 1 in college ball there are already some real standout QB's. we better just watch this Bills season and hope that this offense turns on the lights, because it will be a painful offseason on TSW if not. -
If you live in the market of a different NFL team...
VanCity replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have posted about this previously, but I have lived in the Pacific NW for 18 years. I have travelled to Buffalo for 4 games in that time and watched as many games as possible between league pass and national tv. In saying that, I miss the NFL stadium experience and have gone to Seahawks games for 11 years now. I enjoy the games, have shared good times with friends and family and have developed an affinity for the team over the years, despite my best intentions. The Hawks are now my other team, but they are so far behind the Bills. Miss a Seahawks game? Had something better to do. Miss a Bills game? Not a chance. -
Perception of the Team. From an Ex Bills Fan
VanCity replied to Dr. Trooth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really? Guys like this would only switch back if they saw a Super Bowl win or at least an AFC championship for the Bills. I have admitted to attending more Seahawks games than Bills games over the past 17 years, but never became, nor will I ever become, relatively close to the Hawks fan that I am a Bills fan. Quitting on your team, in the context of any sport, is sacrilege and sufficient rationale for an extreme shunning. Edit: I live in the Pac North West, the Hawks games are a proximity-based way to get my fill of NFL live experience. They just happen to currently be a great team to watch. -

Well....despite immediately revoking your man card after quitting on the Bills, your post was well written and concise. Although you are technically trolling, you are not wrong in much of what you state. The EJ stuff is typical of many trolls though. He performed well enough as a rookie to expect more this year. Rough pre-season, but I'll wait to judge him until at least 6 games in. Now, get lost and enjoy the Steelers. Loser. -
Tony Moeaki Released from Injured Reserved
VanCity replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's too bad as he had looked decent in his time with KC. But, based on the absolute nothing he provided the Bills with, he looks to be finished. -
Crap! Just saw this post. What happened this year?

Get to know your Bills roster - 2014 edition
VanCity replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously? Because he hits like he's 235lbs and he's the 4th best cb on the team. -
Thank you for a positive thread and keeping it honest. There are more reasons to be excited about this team than there are to be worried. The issue will always be that the things that worry us are as present as ever and , thanks to sites like this and the over-analysis of the media, we are inundated with information that paints a gloom and doom picture. Let's get excited about this team, cheer them onward and believe that they can and will succeed in breaking the playoff drought this season. GO BILLS!

i watched some of two 9ers games and noted his punts as standout. Don't be surprised when this guy becomes the next Moorman and the long term answer at punter.

You're better than that. Horrible dad joke, horrible. However, dropping Henderson out of the starting 5 contradicts what Marrone has been saying throughout camp regarding the best 5 starting. Henderson is quite obviously top 5 (probably top 3 as it stands) amongst the OL on the roster.
