I don't get it. In the CHI team, he came up big and looked great. I thought that he would round out the top three with Sammy and Woods quite well. Here's hoping that he uses this as motivation to be the player that his talent dictates he can be.

Tough game to call. It completely depends upon which Pats team shows up. The one from the Cincy game looked determined and very united. The one that played every other game was discombobulated and didn't strike an ounce of fear into anyone. I'm thinking Orton gets a second week with the starters and unloads on the Pats LB corps (weak) with a lot of plays in the short game to stay away from Browner and Revis. The slot receiver will see plenty of action and the Bills will control the TOP for a 24-17 win. Dareus continues to wreak havoc and picks up 2 more sacks against a piss-poor Pats OL. Brady needs to get rattled early.

I agree with the overachiever analysis. He wasn't a stellar college QB and performed better than a number of Heisman winners and candidates did in their first 14 games in the league. Because of my respect for him as a person, I hope that he can sit back and evaluate the game from the sideline and see the things that he can do to become a viable NFL qb. Because of what my eyes have told me through the majority of his 14 games, odds are not good. He throws behind receivers far too often, telling me that his brain cannot keep up with the speed of the game. Inaccuracy can be caused by a number of factors. I believe EJ's is born of a case of "slow eyes". Jimbo should have been listened to.

This. He's a thumper and has massively improved the D's biggest weakness from last year, stopping the run. Scheme hasn't hurt either, but that speaks to the way in which he fits it seamlessly.

Good analogy in a song choice It's only fractured... Just a little nervous from the fall. Kinda like the Bills heading into this game after the last. This is a big one. The Chargers game either served to expose or wake up this team. The leaders (Fred and Kyle most specifically) need to energize the troops on both sides of the ball, remind them of what they can achieve based on the first two games and get everyone on the same page. And the gameplan must be more aggressive. I'm not going to harp on what EJ needs to do and beat a dead horse, but the team needs to see a drastic improvement today. Go Bills!

I decided not to come here for a while after the game, fully expecting the EJ bashing. I have defended EJ to this point, but his overall play today was poor. I was definitely pulling my hair out with his poor decisions and worse throws. The play where he escaped the sack and hit Chandler was big, and I had hoped it would turn things around, but it didn't and that was alarming. That being said, this was the best team the Bills have played this year and they played extremely well on defence. Taking the ball out of EJ's hands at this point would be stupid on so many levels. If the Bills ever want to elevate themselves to the upper echelon of the NFL, they need to either acquire a top notch qb or develop the best they have. Orton is a known commodity with limited upside, whereas EJ's "potential" ( hate that word when it comes to Bills qbs) is immense. The number of NFL qbs that were great in their first two years is minuscule in comparison to the list of great qbs that took 3 or 4 seasons to develop.

Many athletes won't wear knee braces because they actually can weaken the area they are built to protect. If they structurally support the effected area, the muscles, tendons and ligaments don't need to do their job so they become weaker. That, and braces are cumbersome, annoying and remind you to watch out for the possibility of re-injury, creating a distraction.
