  1. Remember early in Cordy Glenn's career (thinking it was around the time of his first or second training camp)... he was out for awhile for a "medical reason"? I asked John Wawrow if he remembered hearing that at that time Cordy was diagnosed with diabetes... and he seems to remember that as well. But now I can't find evidence of that anywhere & it was never mentioned again. Reason I bring it up is because if he indeed was diagnosed with diabetes, these "unexplained" foot/ankle problems he's been having may be related to that diagnosis. It's not uncommon for diabetics to experience peripheral neuropathy in their feet. Hopefully that's not the case, but if it is, he might continue to have problems in the future. It wouldn't surprise me if the Bills move on from him, but they will only do it if it works for them.
  2. It will be interesting to observe how his writing/responses change. Might not be as easy as he thinks. And, as previously mentioned, he might have rigged this with a lot of wiggle room to get out. You have to have thick skin in their cutthroat business. Chris Brown takes a lot of stuff for his "paid shill" status at OBD. I think Brownie does a good job and like the guy (though he can come off pretty cranky at times, lol). It's not easy to please the masses, and especially when you are in a job that EVERYONE thinks they can do better. LOL. Florio is Florio. I read as much as I can from as many different people as possible. I've read a lot more great posts on this and other message boards than what is sometimes considered "professional journalism". TBH, I am grateful for message boards and have learned a LOT more from fellow fans than some of the pablum put out by professional journalists for whatever biased reason they put it out. So yippee for Florio, but how he presents himself won't affect me much, other than to have some jollies if I sniff a rat. Thanks to all of you who are the real people we Bills fans from far flung places want to hang out with.....
  3. Thanks, everyone. I'm passing along links to the posts, so I hope they get to see all of these as well. Please keep your well wishes coming. Who could EVER forget that Charger game? It was ASTOUNDING watching him play. He may not have ever won a ring, but as far as I'm concerned Joe Ferguson represented the Buffalo Bills in a way like no other. Quite different than the more flamboyant other #12 who captured our hearts, but both these guys deserve their VERY special place in Buffalo Bills history. And we saw what a fighter Jimbo's son was for all those years. Keep that #12 mojo going. It's an exclusive club, since only TWO starting Buffalo Bills QBs will have ever worn that number.
  4. You're more than welcome. Joe and Sandy have gone through ENORMOUS obstacles and setbacks over the last few years. I am so happy for the Ferguson family!!! God Bless Joe and his family
  5. I posted this on the BBMB, but want to share the good news: I just received an incredible email from Joe and Sandy Ferguson. As most of you know, Joe has been fighting cancer for five years now and has gone through EXTENSIVE treatment over the last few years. I'm honored, happy, overjoyed, and overwhelmed to announce that for the first time since 2004, ALL OF JOE'S BLOOD COUNTS ARE NORMAL!!!! What an Easter Blessing!!!! God Bless you, Joe... keep up the good fight, and you and Sandy will be in many Bills fans thoughts and prayers over this Easter holiday.
  6. I tried to talk the webmaster into add "short version" but they wouldn't relent. Most people don't have nor want to spend THAT much time to vote. Though it was a nice tribute... there should have been a "short option" available to vote, IMO. Thanks for the feedback, seriously. I will pass it on to the webmaster. I like this selection and it could prove to be THE winner. LOL, I struggled with Norwood too, but in the end in terms of overall body of work I selected Christie. Another great selection of players. I would have only stood my ground about Ernie Warlick from having seen him play back in the day. If only we had a guy like him NOW!!! Only a couple of more weeks to vote. I know it takes time, but it's the weekend and if you have a chance, just skip the video parts and please vote. We are really close to achieving a voting record for this, so any contribution you can make by voting would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I'm proud and find it very interesting that Lou Saban is getting more votes than I thought he would. Don't know if that is partly because of his recent death, or because more younger people are on board with knowledge about what a GREAT Coach he was for the Bills. No offense intended toward Marv, but Lou was one of a fiery, one of a kind guy who did more with less overall talent in his later years with the Bills.
  7. Bump for day time folks. Please vote if you haven't, and please vote again if you already have voted. And post them here if you dare... So far the biggest miss I'm seeing on the BBMB is that people are ignoring Kent Hull!!! How can anyone NOT vote for Kent Hull? http://www.channel1media.com/billsvoting/
  8. Thanks, Lori. I probably should post who I THINK will be selected versus my personal choices. Your list looks like it could be THE ONE that gets picked. But I'm not giving up on some of our oldies but goodies!!! http://www.channel1media.com/billsvoting/
  9. We only have 17 days left to vote for our 50th Anniversary All Star Team. It's time to amp up this event with a contest of our own and have some fun, all in good spirit. Which message board will have more participants VOTE for the correct team of players who will end up being selected? I'm a moderator on the buffalobills.com message board and going to go around to the message boards that I know about and post a thread and see how many members from each board can correctly pick the 50th anniversary team. Remember, the more times you vote, the more likely YOUR team will be selected, so vote often. Let's see which message board has more participants that can pick the exact team who is selected in the end!!! This is serious business, folks Remember, you and your favorite message board's cred and rep is on the line here. Let's have some fun. VOTE FIRST (and often) and then post your team here. Remember this is for bragging rights and I'm curious which message board will post more winning selections. Here's my completed team. GAME ON. HC: Lou Saban. Marv will probably be the sentimental pick but I'm sticking with Lou because he WON two championships with less overall talent. QB: Jim Kelly (no brainer) OL: Kent Hull, Joe DeLamiellure, House Ballard, Reggie McKenzie, Stew Barber. RB: Cookie Gilchrist. Again, OJ or Thurman will probably win but if you ever saw Cookie play, you'd know why he has my vote. WR: Elbert Dubenion, Andre Reed, Eric Moulds TE: Ernie Warlick (by a mile) ST: Steve Tasker (no brainer) K: Steve Christie P: Brian Moorman DL: Bruce Smith, Fred Smerlas, Tom Sestak LB: Mike Stratton, Daryl Talley, Cornelius Bennett, Jim Haslett CB: Butch Byrd, Robert James S: George Saimes, Tony Greene VOTE in the contest and then post your team here. I dare ya. I'm going to have to vote a LOT because some of the younger members probably won't vote for some of the older players I've picked. Proper kudos and bragging rights will go to the message board that wins. Now get voting because you have to VOTE to make it count! Thanks in advance for participating. It's a great time to celebrate our 50th anniversary as the 12th man!!! http://www.channel1media.com/billsvoting/
