  1. I would love to get Cromartie and a 4th for Lynch!
  2. !@#$. We are switching to a 3-4 and don't have a NT. Brilliant. I hope they have a plan to fill that spot(Cody? Williams?)
  3. no way in hell! This team has holes every where I look. To suggest trading up and giving up multiple draft picks for a marginal QB makes zero sense to me. There are so many questions about Clausen. He is far from can't miss. There are many players who have much better odds of being great NFL players in this draft IMO
  4. 2000-2007 QBs drafted first 3 rounds Chad Pennington Carmazi Michael Vick #1 overall Drew Brees David Carr #1 overall Joey Harrington Patrick Ramsey Josh McNown Carson Palmer #1 overall Byron Leftwich Kyle Boller Rex Grossman Chris Simms Eli #1 overall Philip Rivers Ben Rothlisberger Alex Smith #1 overall Aaron Rogers Jason Campbell Charlie Frye David Greene Vince Young Jay Cutler Matt Leinart Tavares Jackson Brodie Coyle Charlie Whitehurst Jemarcus Russell #1 overall Brady Quinn Kevin Kolb John Beck Drew Stanton Trent Edwards 33 QBs selected in the first 3 rounds 2000-2007, including 6 #1 overall selections. Brees, Rogers, Rothlisberger, Rivers, Palmer are the only signal callers I would deem good to excellent from this group. 5-33 first three rounds, including 6 #1 overall selections. 15% success 2-77 post round 3% 5-33- that is below the Mendozza line. Stay away from QB's in the first round
  5. I stated my draft philosophy in general. I merely chose LT and DT as an example- not indicative of this draft class. Earlier I pointed out BPA over position need when we !@#$ed up and chose Mike Williams drafting a need, but therefore passing up BPA's Dwight Freeney, Ed Reed, Albert Haynesworth, and John Henderson. I am a draftnik and have been following from the get go. This year oline is deep. and for the 1,002 time- always draft BPA!
  6. Want Marshawn San Diego? Want to go back to Cali Marshawn? Good riddance. Another blown pick, hopefully we can get something for him
  7. Obvious to us two, but not our front office the past 10 years
  8. who is a good QB to draft? Did you feel JeMarcus Russell was a good QB? Matt Leinart? Brady Quinn? John Beck? ......
  9. I am not your typical TBD member. I wish JP well
  10. Massachusetts. !@#$ing Pats and Sox fans every where
  11. yes, you need to learn reading comprehension, especially before you start personal attacks. "I agree with the lines- meaning that I agree we need help on both sides of the line. Until we fix the oline, drafting a QB is retarded IMO But don't reach for need if our scouts are not sold on them. BPA, not need for the 1,001 time I would rather have the #3 rated DT in a draft class very deep at DT then the #1 rated LT in a very weak LT draft class. I want players that will be quality players for the Bills the next 5-10 years. Not some #1 rated LT who will be a turnstile then out of the league in 3 years." I thought you could understand this statement, but perhaps I am overestimating you. No where do I state that this is a weak draft at oline. Au contraire. Did someone piss in your cornflakes this morning? Look, we have been drafting for need the past decade. The proof is in the pudding. This team has been mediocre at best this millenium. You can stick with that asinine philosophy, or you can learn from it and start stockpiling talent on this team. I will choose the later, thank you
  12. I never said it was a weak class. Reading comprehension- give it a shot
  13. so I am ignorant? Eric Berry would be a gift at #9. Do you mean to tell me if we got a playmaker at S that would hurt this team? Berry and Byrd would be tremendous! We need playmakers! I agree with the lines. But don't reach for need if our scouts are not sold on them. I would rather have the #3 rated DT in a draft class very deep at DT then the #1 rated LT in a very weak LT draft class. I want players that will be quality players for the Bills the next 5-10 years. Not some #1 rated LT who will be a turnstile then out of the league in 3 years. Seems obvious to me
  14. traveling, cooking (just made a croque madame and curried cauliflower for lunch- and making hot browns tomorrow with leftover mornay), playing any sport, reading(non fiction and classics mostly), pornography, music, hanging with friends and family, enjoying the simple life
  15. I have not lived in Buffalo since 1979 but forever will be a Bills fan. I live in CT amongst a bunch of !@#$ Pats fans. Boston fans are the worst and it is not even close. I went to that Pats/Titans game- you know the freezing 57-0 game. We left early and hit a couple bars in the stadium complex. First bar I order two beers and am cracking jokes with the bartender and having fun. Then I take my jacket off revealing a Bills sweatshirt and order two more beers- they wouldnt serve us and made us leave. WTF? So we go to the next bar, sit at the bar. I order a pint of Newcastle and a pint for my friend. Halfway through my pint, I take off the jacket, again revealing a Bills sweatshirt. The bartender said we had to go, and they would refund our money. !@#$ the Pats! !@#$ the Sox! 90% of them are !@#$ing douchebags! I can't believe they are that threatened by a Bills sweatshirt!
  16. POS? A tad too presumptuous and judgmental, don't you think? Do you need a hug?
  17. Absolutely. Dez White, Eric Berry, and CJ Spiller would all be great additions to this team. And all would help this team more then Clausen or Bradford IMO. We spent a #1 pick for Bledsoe, for JP, for Rob Johnson. That is trying to put square pieces into round holes. Instead go by your board/ Give me dominant football players. Something this team has been lacking. And if you think that this team is so deep at any position that we can ignore drafting it (besides punter)- you are naive. This is a mediocre/poor football team.
  18. as opposed to your draft strategy. Um lets see. We had the #4 pick overall in the 2002 draft and needed offensive tackles. Using your strategy- that justified drafting Mike Williams or Bryant McKinnie. Use my strategy you have your choice of Ed Reed, Albert Haynseworth, John Henderson, Dwight Freeney- whomever is highest rated on our board. I think your draft strategy sucks. Checkmate
  19. hijack this thread proper
  20. Players I would rather the Bills draft then Bradford or Clausen: Suh McCoy Berry White Davis Bulaga Hayden Morgan Pierre-Paul McClain Spiller Iupatti Weatherspoon Okung Williams
  21. USA! USA! USA! I can't believe how well these olympics are going for us! What a performance from Miller!
  22. not me. I would not draft a QB until we drafted/signed 2 DTs, LB and NT(real DT, LB and NT- not tomato cans). Do you think Bradford would of played well last year for us? Our lines are in shambles. We have been neglecting to fix them since the superbowl years. And Fitzpatrick, Trent, and Brohm is serviceable until the lines are fixed. Bradford and Clausen are not franchise QBs IMO. And for the 1,000th time- ALWAYS DRAFT THE BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE NOT FOR NEED!
  23. I love the first two picks, but would like to see us pile up OT's in the first 4 rounds. I like Demaryius Thomas in the fifth. And would take a shot at McCoy in the 6th
  24. I agree- uh oh. What is the combined experience of Bell, Levitre, Hangartner, Wood, Incognito, Meredith, Scott and the two rookies we pick up? Good for the future, not so good for our offense next year. And I am not counting on Wood unfortunately. Hopefully he can come back, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I feel bad for whatever QB lines up behind this line next year. We definitely need to use several high selections for the online. Then there is LB, DE, NT, WR...amongst other needs. I am almost always way too optimistic about the Bills chances every year. Not next year. Not unless the front office produces some miracles And if I were the GM, I would add signing Wilfork a priority, along with the oline. Whatever it took. Make him the highest paid NT in the NFL if that's what it takes. As far as QB, I would stay pat with Brohm, Edwards, and Fitzpatrick and go into camp with open competition. It is not fair to judge any of them until they play with a decent oline. Peyton Manning would be average if he was a Bill
