  1. I would like to have a farm, grow my own organic vegetables, make my own cheese, be a beekeeper, grow weed, make booze...and would if I could. That absinthe sounds interesting. Did you happen to read the Eaters Manifesto Mark Bittman article I posted? I like his idea of a civilian cooking corps
  2. that is a loaded question that I will not answer on a message board. I think weed and booze making should both be legal
  3. Enlightenment runs deep in my mind. I would set up a pot still in my backyard if I could. I do know people who make their own vodka from table sugar and rum from molasses. It is quite good and very easy to make- if you choose to break that law and it was illegal to brew your own beer in America until Jimmy Carter repealed that ridiculous law
  4. the main reason people don't make booze is the ATF. In this "land of the free" the feds will crack down on you if you attempt to make your own booze. Believe me I would love to get a pot still and make some bourbon, rum, and vodka. It is pretty easy. legendary moonshiner who got his balls busted
  5. I really enjoy reading the articulate comments on this brilliant article. I agree with all the authors' suggestions. Any thoughts?
  6. or Sid Finch the Mets pitching phenom
  7. Draconian drug laws empower gangs and cartels. The war on drugs is a waste of money and dogmatic
  8. I love baseball! Jazz, National Parks, our Constitution, and Baseball are America's gifts to the world
  9. +1 no prima donnas please. I have been wrong plenty times before, but I have a feeling Newton will be a bust in the NFL
  10. I was going to try and hold out for the Iphone 5 thinking it would be out in June, but rumors are Iphone 5 will not be out until September
  11. My contract is up next month and I can't stand ATT and can't wait to switch back to Verizon. I played around with the Thunderbolt a little today and it doesnt seem as intuitive as the Iphone. But I keep reading rave reviews. I appreciate your thoughts, thank you
  12. "[using a spectrometer to track the corn carbon] ...Dawson and his colleague Stefania Mambelli prepared an analysis showing roughly how much of the carbon in the various McDonald’s menu items came from corn, and plotted them on a graph. The sodas came out on top, not surprising since they consist of little else than corn sweetener, but virtually everything else we ate revealed a high proportion of corn, too. In order of diminishing corniness, this is how the laboratory measured our meal: soda (100% corn), milk shake (78%), salad dressing (65%), chicken nuggets (56%), cheeseburger (52%), and French fries (23%). What in the eyes of the omnivore looks like a meal of impressive variety turns out, when viewed through the eyes of the mass spectrometer, to be the meal of a far more specialized kind of eater. But then, this is what the industrial eater has become: corn’s koala. Michael Pollan"
  13. An Eaters Manifesto I just read 90% of sugar beets is genetically modified. It would be nice if that **** was labeled so we could make healthy choices without being subjected to being the guinea pig
  14. I hate it. Unless we trade down 4 times and are paid accordingly
  15. thank you for the brilliant response. What are your opinions of how Buffalo local Steve Kurtz has been treated by FBI? I am looking for return on investment. And I am not impressed with the past 75 years ROI
  16. Thank you for your response. Unabomber- turned in by his brother. FBI was clueless before the brother gave the feds the info Aldrich Ames- CIA traitor. This is supposed to be about CIA, FBI, and Homeland Security successes- not turncoats Robert Hannsen (one of thier own (FBI))- see above. 1993 WTC Bombing- um- how is this considered a success? Ramsey Yusef entered the US on a Iraqi passport and eluded the FBI for years. The only way he was apprehended was because he accidently set his Manilla apartment on fire- and the Filipinos seized his computer. If you consider the Filipinos serendipitiously crack the case years after the fact an FBI success, you grade on the curve USS Cole Bombing- again- how is this a success? The suicide bombers accomplished their goal and we had piss poor intelligence. John Gotti (LCN Cases)- ok- they have had some success with the Mob. But it took a rat to bring down Gotti. Joseph Pistone LCN Cases- see above, I am not that familiar with this case. Civil Rights Cases of the 1960's (Mississippi Burning). Ok, there is one. But what about Hoover harrassing MLK and trying to blackmail him to kill himself. FBI and civil rights is almost mutually exclusive Homeland security receives 50 times the budget of the FDA- and pursue such security issues as file sharing. Tell me the name Homeland Security is not straight from an Orwell novel. Our civil rights have been trampled and for what? Some other failures and blowbacks- Lockerbie Iran Guatemala Cuba Congo Brazil Indonesia Vietnam Laos Cambodia Greece Chile Afghanistan El Salvador Guatemala Nicaragua Iraq I wish we would quit meddling with other countries affairs and that we become the benevolent country we market ourselves as
  17. so much for free speech. I asked for FBI, CIA, and Homeland successes. If you don't like the question, then try and justify this waste of our tax dollars. I tell you what. Ask me for FBI, CIA, and Homeland failures and I will list plenty
  18. Monsanto is the devil
  19. blueberry hazel nut pringles?
  20. - Maybin just needs better coaching - Maybin just needs to put more effort into improving – he has all the talent just needs to put forth the effort
  21. Newton or Gabbert- neither- bigger needs and I am not sold on either Green or Jones=-green. much better hands and routes Miller or Quinn- I like both but prefer Miller because he might be best player in draft and he would shore up our weakest position Dareus or Fairley or Bowers=dareus, bowers, fairley in that order, Miller above them all Watt or Jordan- Watt Tyron Smith or Anthony Castonzo- Smith top LT 2nd round guys Houston or Wilson or Ayers- Wilson 4.41 speed at ILB Paea or Hayward- Hayward- can be a monster at times
  22. I hope Newton-Gabbert go 1-2 in the draft so we don't make the mistake of drafting them and we can focus on true needs- front 7, T, and TE
  23. 1-Von Miller 2-Martez Wilson 3-Lance Kendricks oops misread question. ^that is my prediction first 3 rounds 1-Von Miller 2-Bowers 3-Dareous
