or an asinine draconian drug policy. How come there are not bodies shot dead in the street in Amsterdam?
-
The first hour of Zeitgeist 3 is very interesting. It is a couple brilliant psychologists speaking about nature versus nurture. Very fascinating. And police serve their function in a society and it is not an easy job. But when they shoot an innocent man 60 times I cannot defend them. They were hoping to catch Guerena with weed and prosecute him. Well in my book shooting an innocent man defending his family 60 is a hell of a lot worse then possessing hemp. So my friend is a waiter at a local restaurant. Some young kid there received weed in the mail. The police could of busted him right away. Instead they waited until the kid was at work- and ATF comes storming in with assault rifles. My friend said it was intimidating as hell. Customers asked him "what is going on?". My friend said "the health department is really tough these days". A little levity in light of the shock and awe technique meant to intimidate. Shock and awe for hemp. A bit overkill, don't you think?

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth - Buddha They can bury reports and lie and deceive, but the truth is coming out
-
Cover up going on. They sealed the search warrant- four days after the tragedyu
-
And the police are lying and trying to cover up. The LEAST thing they can do is man up and admit they !@#$ed up, apologize to the wife, cooperate with the investigation, and accept whatever the verdict is. Shame on all involved. and our drug policy is retarded. This was over hemp?
-
And they killed a hero Marine defending his family- over pot. They shot him dead in front of his family 60 times. !@#$ing disgusting Let justice be served
-
so what is your opinion of the Jerome Daly verdict? Isn't Jaime Roldós Aguilera's death suspicious? What do you think of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh? Shouldn't we mind our own !@#$ing business? Check out the first two parts of this film. I would really like to hear your opinion on how the Fed Reserve is portrayed. And I would like to hear your opinion of John Perkins

LOL meds. I don't even take aspirin- let alone the heavy **** you suggest from the drug dealers (Pfizer, Merc, etc). So enough with the ad hominem drivel. There are interesting topics brought up in that movie. Of course minds are like locks, and only work when they are opened. No need discussing issues with narrow minded people. And it is laughable when they try and launch dogmantic attacks. Of course you know all about the Federal Reserve. And of course you know about how the World Bank and IMF work. I started this thread looking for some interesting discussion. For example- the Jerome Daly court case is fascinating. Well to each their own. Ignorance is bliss. Enjoy your Fox news

different subject matter with Addendum. This is about the Federal Reserve, predatory capitalism, inherent flaws of our economic system. It proposes solutions which I agree with. The Confessions of an Economic Hitman guy I have seen speak a few times and he is spot on. I think it is a very interesting provocative film. I would love to hear criticisms from someone that actually watches the film
-
well the movie is a couple years old so perhaps he seen. And I made the assumption that he would not comment without viewing it. How can someone comment on something they have not seen?
-
did you watch it? I believe most everything The Confession of an Economic Hitman said in the film. What parts of the movie do you dispute?

watch with open mind and discuss

I think Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie are the two greatest story tellers in music ever. Bob is pure poetry. Happy birthday Bob! And I can't find a link to Don't worry ma, I am only bleeding- but here is an example of his brilliance as a poet. It is much better when he sings it, of course- Darkness at the break of noon Shadows even the silver spoon The handmade blade, the child's balloon Eclipses both the sun and moon To understand you know too soon There is no sense in trying. Pointed threats, they bluff with scorn Suicide remarks are torn From the fool's gold mouthpiece The hollow horn plays wasted words Proves to warn That he not busy being born Is busy dying. Temptation's page flies out the door You follow, find yourself at war Watch waterfalls of pity roar You feel to moan but unlike before You discover That you'd just be One more person crying. So don't fear if you hear A foreign sound to your ear It's alright, Ma, I'm only sighing. As some warn victory, some downfall Private reasons great or small Can be seen in the eyes of those that call To make all that should be killed to crawl While others say don't hate nothing at all Except hatred. Disillusioned words like bullets bark As human gods aim for their mark Made everything from toy guns that spark To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark It's easy to see without looking too far That not much Is really sacred. While preachers preach of evil fates Teachers teach that knowledge waits Can lead to hundred-dollar plates Goodness hides behind its gates But even the president of the United States Sometimes must have To stand naked. An' though the rules of the road have been lodged It's only people's games that you got to dodge And it's alright, Ma, I can make it. Advertising signs that con you Into thinking you're the one That can do what's never been done That can win what's never been won Meantime life outside goes on All around you. You lose yourself, you reappear You suddenly find you got nothing to fear Alone you stand with nobody near When a trembling distant voice, unclear Startles your sleeping ears to hear That somebody thinks They really found you. A question in your nerves is lit Yet you know there is no answer fit to satisfy Insure you not to quit To keep it in your mind and not fergit That it is not he or she or them or it That you belong to. Although the masters make the rules For the wise men and the fools I got nothing, Ma, to live up to. For them that must obey authority That they do not respect in any degree Who despise their jobs, their destinies Speak jealously of them that are free Cultivate their flowers to be Nothing more than something They invest in. While some on principles baptized To strict party platform ties Social clubs in drag disguise Outsiders they can freely criticize Tell nothing except who to idolize And then say God bless him. While one who sings with his tongue on fire Gargles in the rat race choir Bent out of shape from society's pliers Cares not to come up any higher But rather get you down in the hole That he's in. But I mean no harm nor put fault On anyone that lives in a vault But it's alright, Ma, if I can't please him. Old lady judges watch people in pairs Limited in sex, they dare To push fake morals, insult and stare While money doesn't talk, it swears Obscenity, who really cares Propaganda, all is phony. While them that defend what they cannot see With a killer's pride, security It blows the minds most bitterly For them that think death's honesty Won't fall upon them naturally Life sometimes Must get lonely. My eyes collide head-on with stuffed graveyards False gods, I scuff At pettiness which plays so rough Walk upside-down inside handcuffs Kick my legs to crash it off Say okay, I have had enough What else can you show me? And if my thought-dreams could be seen They'd probably put my head in a guillotine But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only.

I have been cable free for year now and love it! With a Roku player you can get all sorts of channels- hockey, mlb, lots of other subscriptions. You might be able to do that with a playstation too. Youtube is good for some shows. Netflix is the best. It is liberating giving up cable. Not to mention the money you save. And it is nice not being bombarded with commercials. Go for it Poojer

Expect an Increase in Crime if Season is Lost

baseball is all but dead in inner cities in the US. SI did a story a few years ago "where are all the black baseball players?" Inner city athletes are choosing basketball or football over baseball -

I !@#$ing hate Bing! -
Man those Godchaux years must of involved heavy drugs just to tolerate her. Man she was awful. I wish I could remove her voice from all my shows

Is there a society more shallow and materialistic then America? I travel whenever I can and have yet to find a country anywhere as materialistic as the USA. It is the land of in your face advertising and consumerism. We are 5% of the worlds population and consume 30%. And there were many other deep themes in American Beauty. Maybe you need to rewatch American Beauty.

I loved that film. Those stereotypes are not to far off. And Spacey is a great antihero. Tell me there is not a little bit of Lester in us all

Donna Godchaux. She ruined some great jams during some of the best Dead years. There would be a beautiful jam going on, until she started wailing. I have yet to meet a deadhead who likes her singing
