  1. Kerner and Covington were studs who had their careers cut short by injury. Holmes had some beast runs and was great value in the 7th. Irvin was decent, and Nutten played a long NFL career I think
  2. I was going to say the 1972 Walt Patulski draft but we got Reggie McKenzie in the second and a few other key contributers. Player Position College 1 Buffalo Bills Walt Patulski Defensive end Notre Dame 2 Cincinnati Bengals Sherman White Defensive end California 3 Chicago Bears (From New York Giants)Lionel Antoine Offensive tackle Southern Illinois 4 St. Louis Cardinals Bobby Moore Wide receiver Oregon 5 Denver Broncos Riley Odoms Tight end Houston 6 Houston Oilers Greg Sampson Defensive end Stanford 7 Green Bay Packers Willie Buchanon Defensive back San Diego State 8 New Orleans Saints Royce Smith Guard Georgia 9 New York Jets Jerome Barkum Wide receiver Jackson State 10 Minnesota Vikings (From New England Patriots)Jeff Siemon Linebacker Stanford 11 Green Bay Packers (From San Diego Chargers)Jerry Tagge Quarterback Nebraska 12 Chicago Bears Craig Clemons Defensive back Iowa 13 Pittsburgh Steelers Franco Harris Running back Penn State 14 Philadelphia Eagles John Reaves Quarterback Florida 15 Atlanta Falcons Clarence Ellis Defensive back Notre Dame 16 Detroit Lions Herb Orvis Defensive end Colorado 17 New York Giants (From Los Angeles Rams via New England Patriots)Eldridge Small Defensive back Texas A&I 18 Cleveland Browns Thom Darden Defensive back Michigan 19 San Francisco 49ers Terry Beasley Wide receiver Auburn 20 New York Jets (From Washington Redskins)Mike Taylor Linebacker Michigan 21 Oakland Raiders Mike Siani Wide receiver Villanova 22 Baltimore Colts Tom Drougas Offensive tackle Oregon 23 Kansas City Chiefs Jeff Kinney Running back Nebraska 24 New York Giants (From Minnesota Vikings)Larry Jacobson Defensive end Nebraska 25 Miami Dolphins Mike Kadish Defensive tackle Notre Dame 26 Dallas Cowboys Bill Thomas Running back Boston College [edit]What strikes me at the first round is how many became Bills. Mike Kadish, Sherman White, Bobby Moore
  3. I am sold on Dion Jordan and hope he is still available when we select- and that we select him
  4. Godawful for sure. But 2000 is the weakest NFL draft I can recall. 5. I was in first grade at Gardenville in West Seneca. We actually went to school that day. The snow came so fast- we got snowed in. They opened up the cafeteria for dinner. And I slept on my classroom floor with my nap rug. I was awoken in the middle of the night by a teacher- and some stranger loaded their car up with me and a few kids and drove us home in the blizzard. I got dropped off at the end of my road, and had a couple block walk home. I remember it dumping snow, and being blown side to side from the winds. I stayed outside as long as I could trying to savor the storm. But I was tired and headed home after awhile. I will always remember that late night walk in those conditions!
  6. I agree 100%. For example- Kitchen Aid mixers used to be made by Hobart and were industrial strength. 25 year old Kitchen Aid mixers blow away the new $350 ones. Light bulbs are designed obsolesence. There is a light bulb in California that has been on almost continuously the past 112 years. We have the technology for light bulbs that last a lifetime. But greedy mother!@#$ers have light bulbs engineered to expire often so we continually have to purchase them. How is that for progress?
  7. What items do you think used to be better made? For me- two come to mind- Levi's. When I was a kid, a pair would last me a year- even though I would play street hockey in them, football, climb fences, etc. Now I find they tear easily, and rarely last 6 months. Also, jeans used to fit properly. For the love of God, can I get a pair of Levi's that doesn't show the crack of my ass? No baggy jeans please, and I am not a fat ass that needs loose fitting. I just want a 1970's pair of Levis. Lighters-remember when concert goers would hold their lighters? Try doing that now. Lighters are inferior today. It is a short flame, and they run out quick. Thank you Beavis and Butthead and reactionary, kneejerk zealots. What item do you feel is inferior today?
  8. keep our draft picks, sign Byrd and Levitre, and forget about Revis
  9. FIFA and the NHL have flow, and are quite watchable IMO. The NFL has on average 12 minutes of action- and yet takes almost 4 hours to watch. Damn shame the greedy mother!@#$ers ruined a beautiful game
  10. I have two funny stories about friend's cars stolen. One friend had a defective gas tank gauge that always read full. He had to write down miles and keep track to make sure he had gas. So one morning he walks out to his apartment parking lot- and his car was missing. Thief stole it, and ran out of gas on 95 and hoofed it. Well funny thing was there was $3000 worth of electrolux vacuums in trunk. Second story, I picked up a girl I used to date in New Haven. We headed east over Q bridge in New Haven and we see a car broken down on side of road. She says "hey, that looks just like my car". It turned out it was. It was stolen and broke down And Dank man, I am sorry for your situation and hope it works out for you
  11. Look at the bright side fellow Bills fans. There are no front running Bills fans. We are true, bona fide Bills fans. And the funny thing, once the Bills become a juggernaut, people will accuse us of being front runners. Haha
  12. http://blogs.knoxnews.com/woodbery/2012/12/mel-kipers-latest-on-tennessee-prospects-cordarrelle-patterson-justin-hunter-and-others.html ESPN draft guru Mel Kiper said today that he believes Tennessee junior wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson could be a mid-first round NFL draft selection. If he stays for his senior year, Kiper said, Patterson could go in the top five overall picks
  13. I do watch the Bills online occasionally from a private feed, commercial free. And I find highlights online. But commercials were a deal breaker for me. 20 years ago commercials were barely tolerable. But now it is total overkill. Money is the ruiner of all things good. I suppose if the Bills made the playoffs I would go to a friends or a bar to watch. But now I root for them without watching them
  14. replace Te'o with Cordarrelle and I would be ok with any of those 10. Please don't reach for a QB at 8 spot
  15. I would pay to watch some bills games as long as they were commercial free. As of now, I haven't watched the nfl or TV for 2 years- and find both unwatchable due to commercials. And I am not missing either
  16. I am sold. We have many holes- mainly QB, LB, and WR. I am not impressed with any QB this draft and feel we should never reach for need. Ogletree is intriquing at LB, but I am concerned about his size (210). We need talent infusion and can't whiff at 8. And Patterson brings a lot to this team at a need position. CJ and Patterson would be flat out electric. Sign Levitre and Byrd, draft Patterson, then draft heavy at LB and take some stabs at QBs round 3 or so
  17. Dark and Stormy is a big drink in New England sailing towns (Newport, Essex, etc). It is Black Seal Rum and Ginger beer with slice of lime
  18. During the power outage from Sandy, I would go buy a newspaper to see what was going on in the world. If the internet goes down, the newspaper is very relevant.
  19. I would trade a 4th for Smith, keep the Amish rifle, and draft a QB in the first 3 rounds to groom. QB depth would be outstanding
  20. money is the ruiner of all things good
  21. vick is not the player he was and not the answer for the Bills. I question what he brings to the locker room too. We need a good young QB who can lead this team the next 10 years
