  1. I am not really a beach person but have to say I am partial to Hammonasset beach and RI beaches. Hammonasset and Cape May are the two main migratory points for birds on the east coast. And we get quite the variety. Lots of accidentals, and a steady variety of birds arriving from all over. Very cool. And RI is the coolest state few know. Great people, great beaches, big fun in this tiny state
  2. thanks for posting. Buffalo was and still is a beautiful city. It is nice to see her in her youth
  3. northern Europe is interesting too. I was quite impressed with Hamburg and some of the Netherlands ports
  4. Congratulations!
  5. Happy 5oth Pooj! Now go get some!
  6. Baltic Dry Index is what I use most to gauge economy. Percentage full container ship numbers are not as easily manipulated as all other financial indicators http://investmenttools.com/futures/bdi_baltic_dry_index.htm
  7. Jim Kelly is a douche bag, eh? Almost every story I hear from someone meeting him he comes off as a total ass
  8. As a kid growing up in West Seneca, I had several good moments with Bills players. Tony Greene visited my elementary school(Gardeville). We went to cookout's at Joe D's house. I met OJ when I was with my father and he was suit shopping. And we had two Bills players over for dinner at my familys. I will have to ask my Dad who that was. If I recall correctly, the Bills player's team in college(Wichita State?) had a plane crash, and my father knew him somehow. Also a couple years ago I met a great couple at a bar. They were Jets fans, but when I told them I was a Bills fans, they told me their son was very good friends with Blake Costenza(special teams demon who is now on Browns). They knew Blake since he was a youngster, and mentioned what a great guy he was. They took down my address. A couple months later, Blake sent me a sweet Bills hat signed and said Go Bills! I wear it all the time
  9. I too have heard Moats interviewed and came away very impressed. He is obviously very intelligent and well spoken, and comes across as a great guy
  10. no but I know where his helmet is
  11. AH is from Bristol CT, home of ESPN. Gangs in the football are the NFL's dirty secret. . http://tv.msn.com/tv/episode/outside-the-lines/turf-wars-gangs-and-athletics/
  12. Norway Spruce is one of my favorite trees. If it has room to grow, that spread will be 30'+
  13. Blueberry bushes work great. Some get 6'+. They flower in spring, produce upwards of 30# berries per bush, folliage in fall. They last 50 years, and are easy to spread with cuttings. I also like cedar trees as a border
  14. Meeks does have prototype safety numbers. And he is livid he wasn't invited to combine. My guess is Meeks would of put up eye catching combine numbers and boost his draft stock
  15. Good to hear bro. I am digging this draft myself
  16. Best athlete in draft in years and upside to the stratosphere. I love the pick!
  17. 41 is pretty damn good.
  18. Funny, I have been on a bid Dylan and Wilco kick. Tremendous billing
  19. I have heard many stories from friends meeting Richie first hand, and being blown away by his kindness. RIP Richie.
  20. Pistol Pete is one of my nicknames. I wear that name proudly!
  21. +1 more. Me and a bunch of old friends would get together draft weekend, stock up on booze and food on Friday, and not leave the house til Monday-and we did this 1989-2005 or so. We would stock up on Boston Globe draft issue, Kipers guide, and any other draft guides we could find. Football is not what is used to be
  22. Clinton doesn't inhale, he sucks
  23. A friend of mine in high school had the bumper sticker "If God never intended man to eat kitty, why did he shape it like a taco?"
