I really like Michael Floyd as a free agent pickup. He is big and can go up and make and acrobatic catch. He had a big year second half last season, but is not this year, thus dropping his asking price. He would be great lined across from Sammy IMO

same here. I am still trying to decode Desolation Row- Desolation RowWRITTEN BY: BOB DYLAN They’re selling postcards of the hangingThey’re painting the passports brown The beauty parlor is filled with sailors The circus is in town Here comes the blind commissioner They’ve got him in a trance One hand is tied to the tight-rope walker The other is in his pants And the riot squad they’re restless They need somewhere to go As Lady and I look out tonight From Desolation Row Cinderella, she seems so easy “It takes one to know one,” she smiles And puts her hands in her back pockets Bette Davis style And in comes Romeo, he’s moaning “You Belong to Me I Believe” And someone says, “You’re in the wrong place my friend You better leave” And the only sound that’s left After the ambulances go Is Cinderella sweeping up On Desolation Row Now the moon is almost hidden The stars are beginning to hide The fortune-telling lady Has even taken all her things inside All except for Cain and Abel And the hunchback of Notre Dame Everybody is making love Or else expecting rain And the Good Samaritan, he’s dressing He’s getting ready for the show He’s going to the carnival tonight On Desolation Row Now Ophelia, she’s ’neath the window For her I feel so afraid On her twenty-second birthday She already is an old maid To her, death is quite romantic She wears an iron vest Her profession’s her religion Her sin is her lifelessness And though her eyes are fixed upon Noah’s great rainbow She spends her time peeking Into Desolation Row Einstein, disguised as Robin Hood With his memories in a trunk Passed this way an hour ago With his friend, a jealous monk He looked so immaculately frightful As he bummed a cigarette Then he went off sniffing drainpipes And reciting the alphabet Now you would not think to look at him But he was famous long ago For playing the electric violin On Desolation Row Dr. Filth, he keeps his world Inside of a leather cup But all his sexless patients They’re trying to blow it up Now his nurse, some local loser She’s in charge of the cyanide hole And she also keeps the cards that read “Have Mercy on His Soul” They all play on pennywhistles You can hear them blow If you lean your head out far enough From Desolation Row Across the street they’ve nailed the curtains They’re getting ready for the feast The Phantom of the Opera A perfect image of a priest They’re spoonfeeding Casanova To get him to feel more assured Then they’ll kill him with self-confidence After poisoning him with words And the Phantom’s shouting to skinny girls “Get Outa Here If You Don’t Know Casanova is just being punished for going To Desolation Row” Now at midnight all the agents And the superhuman crew Come out and round up everyone That knows more than they do Then they bring them to the factory Where the heart-attack machine Is strapped across their shoulders And then the kerosene Is brought down from the castles By insurance men who go Check to see that nobody is escaping To Desolation Row Praise be to Nero’s Neptune The Titanic sails at dawn And everybody’s shouting “Which Side Are You On?” And Ezra Pound and T. S. Eliot Fighting in the captain’s tower While calypso singers laugh at them And fishermen hold flowers Between the windows of the sea Where lovely mermaids flow And nobody has to think too much About Desolation Row Yes, I received your letter yesterday (About the time the doorknob broke) When you asked how I was doing Was that some kind of joke? All these people that you mention Yes, I know them, they’re quite lame I had to rearrange their faces And give them all another name Right now I can’t read too good Don’t send me no more letters, no Not unless you mail them

I have been saying the same thing. There is a very good chance that we might be 5-2 playing New England at home, for first place, and oh yeah- won't Shaq be back for that game? That will be the biggest game for the Bills this millennium!

Best/Worst Concerts You've Ever Seen
Pete replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in Off the Wall Archives
best two- Metallica in 1984? at Agora Ballroom Hartford in front of maybe 300 people. And I have seen the Ramones many, many times- always a great show! My most memorable one was in the late 80's at Toads Place. I brought a dozen of my friends from an uppity town, and it was culture shock for them. They loved it! We owned the pit(strength in numbers). One of my friends lost his shoes in the pit, borrowed another pair, and then lost them. Between us we lost a few pairs shoes, a wallet, and a hat. After the show when it started to clear up, they swept up the floor. There were many people sorting through a huge pile trying to find something lost. And to top it off, after spending some time trying to locate missing shoes, we walked out the side door and I literally bumped into Joey Ramone. He is one tall dude. Simply put, the Ramones were an amazing band! -
Lorenzo Alexander proving the Bills were right...
Pete replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When he joined the Redskins in 2006, Alexander gained the nickname, "One Man Gang", due to the versatility of football positions he can play; offensive guard, tight end, linebacker, fullback, defensive tackle, defensive end, and special teams.[24][25] -
sign him!

This is whom I wished the Bills drafted round 2

I believe it is here to stay. There is no need for big safetys such as Steve Atwater anymore. The S and hybrid S/LB needs to be able to run with Gronk, seal gaps, pass rush, and make athletic plays. The way we dominated Arizona surprised me. I think we are a much better running team then people realize -

“Cravens' potential impact as a hybrid defender (linebacker/safety) made him a top priority for the Redskins on draft day,” Brooks said. “The ex-USC standout immediately flashed his disruptive potential with a superb effort in his preseason debut against the Falcons on Thursday. The second-round pick notched three tackles (two for loss) and a pass breakup while wreaking havoc on Atlanta's offense as a sideline-to-sideline menace.” -
Should the Bills try & trade for Romo in the offseason?
Pete replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not my vice. But Romo will be 37 next season. Why on earth would you trade assets for him? I would rather continue to draft QBs, and hopefully hit on one that can be a cornerstone -

I banged the drum for Su'a and hated the Ragland pick. Now Brown and Brown are playing great. Where to play Ragland? Su'a fits Rex's D perfect. I just hate the Ragland pick- and am shocked we traded up for him. Michael Thomas or Su'a would of been a much better selection IMO -

trade for Romo? Are you on crack? -
buyers market. Get on the phone Doug!

And we could of kept our selection. No need to trade up. All he does is make plays- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnW6J9lv11M Bucky Brooks agrees- http://www.redskins.com/news-and-events/blog/article-1/NFLcom-Gives-Sua-Cravens-High-Grade-For-Effort-Against-Falcons/356db8bc-d53e-4b92-917d-19c867ea5315

The commercials make football unwatchable. There is no flow. I watch Champions league soccer- there is flow. Hockey- there is flow. NFL = no flow. That is by far my biggest turnoff to football. But there is lots of excellent points here- pregame clowns trying to outdress one another, stupid suspensions, reactionary policy, bad officiating, over saturation, over production, etc. I don't know how you !@#$ up the NFL, but Goodall has. !@#$ him
