Elam has been discussed for years. Expectations were higher for Elam, because he was first round pick, like Dalton. The few times Elam has seen the field, we have seen some big plays by Elam. We need to see more big plays from Dalton.

Benford was a 6th round pick, and has been a kick ass starter from game 1. Spencer Brown was a third round pick, and one of best tackles in NFL. Shakir was a 5th round pick, and the best WR on the Bills. these are 3 Bills players that kick ass currently, Dalton does not contribute a fraction of what these 3 studs provide to Buffalo

The first post, I state I’m a fan of Dalton, and I root for him, why isn’t he better? Does he produce in KC? That setup intelligent discourse from most. Was trading up in the first round for Dalton worth it? We have had two years to evaluate, and most Mafia are in agreement with me that it was not. I watch tape, and I don’t see Dalton separating. He doesn’t block. A TE who can’t block, doesn’t play special teams, and can’t get open is about as useful to Bills as a bike to a fish. Ive said repeatedly in this thread that I like Dalton, I root for him, and he is disappointing. Those 3 are not mutually exclusive. Do you have an intelligent opinion (it’s Brady, an injury, scheme, Dalton, Josh, etc) or are you going to detract from Bills discussion with brilliance such as blah, blah, blah? Now if you excuse us, we will return to discussing our beloved Bills

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
Pete replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
RBs, LBers, QB, and maybe even WR are better on the Bills -
What don’t you understand? Will Kincaid make any big plays against KC? I like Dalton, and I am rooting for him. But Im perplexed why he is so underwhelming

9 different receivers have had the most yards in a game this season. None named Dalton. That stat blows me away. What a waste of a first round pick

Didn't Josh say Brady has done nothing for the Bills offense?- 125 replies

huh? This whole discussion is why Dalton is not above average, for the Bills, right now, and going forward. No one in this whole thread is talking about college stats. Im asking- KC is worst at covering TEs. Does Dalton produce? Does he drop passes? I could give two ***** about college stats

Not a bad thought. Trade him to Dallas. Quintin Morris is a good back up. Zack Davidson flashed. He is not the strongest blocker, but gives more than Kincaid. Davidson could be a viable TE 3

Shakir has the shortest arms in the NFL, and caught 27 straight targets. So Josh is accurate for Shakir, but off target for 6'4 Kincaid? I believe that Kincaid has run routes off, not going deep enough, not making a sharp enough cut. I believe Josh places the ball where Kincaid is supposed to be, most often. Dalton has 4 straight up drops this year. IMO Dalton has lost Josh's trust. That being said, KC is the worst at covering TEs. Dalton should shine Sunday. If he can't produce, my hope for Dalton dwindles

Roster moves for tomorrow. Jackson and Clapp elevated, Spector out.
Pete replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rapp is out, so we brought up Robinson for depth. Clapp-because we are going to run all over KC -
Dalton is no Butch Rolle
-
I think Dalton has lost some trust with Josh. Shakir, Ty, Knox, Hollins have Josh's trust now.

NFL numbers. Those are LaPortas rookie numbers on Lions. Laporte made sensational one handed TD catch in loss against Washington. This is what I’m hoping. I’d like to hear someone that studies every All22 videos, who can confirm that Dalton is getting double coverage constantly. That was happening last year. This year it seems every TE and WR not named Shakir, cannot separate
-
DT and WR are the most pressing needs IMO. CB-S-DE too. Bills are stacked everywhere else
-
DT
-
you are defeating your argument. Knox is a complete TE. Knox is clutch in the playoffs (6 games Knox caught the first TD. Knox has made big plays this season. Dalton cannot block. Alll he has to worry about is catching passes. Knox has a higher catch rate, less drops, and more big plays than Dalton.
-
Friggin Lonnie had better numbers, during the draught
-
Kincaid had 44 catches lol
-
disagree all you want. But a 58% catch percentage is what it is. That is much closer to piss poor than elite
-
Dalton dropped a pass against Denver in a big spot. But Buffalo was quick to get the ball snapped before Denver could challenge. This is hurting your argument
-
I see Dalton dropping balls. I see Dalton failing to seperate. I see Knox making big plays for the Bills. Im waithing for Dalton to show up this playoffs. This aint the underwear olympics. Its what you do on the field that counts

Was Dalton going to catch 8 TDs in the game he missed? If hes top 5, he is behind LaPorta, and way behind Bowers
