Opener (at NYJ) - Gauging interest in going as a group?
Pete replied to Captain Caveman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
we took a bus after the game to get us back to lot two years ago. The bus was 55% Bills fan, 45% Jets fans. We were going back and forth singing chants poking fun of each others teams. My two contributions were- "The Jets play at Giants stadium" "New York only has one team" oh yeah, I'm in if anyone has extra ticket. Last time some meathead Jets fan wanted to start with me because I had a Bills shirt on and cheered a TD by the food court LOL -
MMQB: Bills ground game is primed to take off this year
Pete replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Benoit's work usually. He is correct about how we are going to run the ball successfully behind a pretty solid offensive line. We will be top 2 in NFL rushing IMO. But he downplays our pass rush, and hints that's our achilles heal at D. Last year our pass rush was a one man show most of the time(although surprisingly the Bills ranked 13th pass rush efficiency). The Bills had the number 2 defense in NFL last year. 2019 is where they become elite because the pass rush. We our returning the whole defensive unit, after playing together for a year+, getting this system down. We have best secondary in NFL. Trent Murphy is playing like it's 2016, not 2018. Shaq is in contract year, best shape of life, and will get single teamed all year. Jerrys DE counterpart will bring it this year. And Ed Oliver will bring it from the inside. He just might be that rare game changer at DT. If Bills can stay healthy, this might be best Bills D ever(no offense 1999, 1964, 2005, 1990 nothing but respect). No matter what, I guarantee one thing- this Bills D will be fun to watch! -
This could be a blessing in disguise. It frees up roster space(Pitts makes team?). We don't need to cut a CB who would instantly be signed by another team. And it is a CB in bank for playoff run

Bills D will be my starting D in FF every league. I will overpay for them

How is Zay better than Cam Phillips? Zay does not seem reliable I was thinking in essence Zay replaced Robert Woods. Woods makes that TD grab no doubt. Zay is not that player

RD 5, Pick 147: LB Vosean Joseph, University of Florida
Pete replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our LB depth is looking better and better. Dodson and Joseph both look solid. LB, WR, CB, OL will be very tough cuts. Whomever we cut at those positions will be picked up by another team. I'm not used to having this much depth! -

Shower Beer: Great idea or sign you need help?
Pete replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I didn't read the article, but any fine beer is the second best thing to shower with besides a beautiful woman. Coors lite is not a good beer and not worthy for showering with -

I was seeing this girl for a short bit, things we’re going decent, but she was really into me, and I was losing interest, she was sweet, but had a bitchy side I was getting sick of. So one night my friend swings by, feeds me a couple hits of E, I felt euphoria. She calls me right then, starts being bitchy, I just started laughing, said we should call it quits. “That’s it?!” she said. “You think it’s funny?” I just kept laughing harder. I don’t like breakups on either end. But that was by far the easiest breakup I ever had -
I've got two good travel stories about Sweet Home Alabama. I was in a huge bar day drinking in Nice France. Most every song was French. And no one I spoke with knew any English. And then randomly in the mix, Sweet Home Alabama comes on, and the place goes crazy, with the packed bar screaming every line. Another time I was in Madrid with a beautiful Spanish girl named Rose. She was showing me around, and two of her friends joined us bar hopping. One of the dudes was a Netherlands pilot who loved the USA. He wouldn't stop talking about what a great country the USA is, he wants his pickup and a dog, and to move out west, yada yada. Rose takes us to a very spanish bar 4:00 am. It is so overcrowded, rowdy, smokey, joints are being passed, as is a guitar. They keep playing spanish songs, everyone singing loudly with spanish pride. Well after a bit, the Netherlands dude call for the guitar....(I'm thinking uh oh, how is this going to go down)......well he starts playing Sweet Home Alabama and everyone is screaming every line again, absolutely loving it. Both those scenes are etched into my memory. And I realized the power of music, and Sweet Home Alabama.

Overplayed sure, overrated no way imo. its like stairway to heaven. It’s an awesome song that’s been played to death. But if you haven’t heard it in a long time, it still rocks
