  1. that is why you need a balanced portfolio.
  2. I have a hunch that Duke might be very good playing slot. If he outplays Zay in camp, Zay might be in trouble.
  3. Sign Jesse James and draft Hockenson. We could run two tight end sets. Defenses would have to worry about covering underneath, which opens up Foster. We would be able to run the ball better, with better blocking. And all this would be huge for Josh
  4. If we stay at 9, Hockenson is the pick IMO. And he will have a bigger impact than any other offensive position selection IMO. WR and OL are deep. We have 9 more picks. And we could also use LB depth and a pass rusher and if we trade down to 15(which I am a-ok with) I highly doubt Hockenson is available. But trading back and drafting Hockenson is my ideal situation for us
  5. one of my favorite dead tunes. Stellar album .
  6. we need pass rushers. Jerry is a beast, but he is getting up there in age. Do we want to exercise Shaq's 5th year option? Or could Quinn be better for us in 2020. Murphy is always injured. Yarbough is a backup. Pass Rusher and Tight End just might be our top needs, right up there with offensive line
  7. nice choices. American Prayer is my favorite Doors album. I dig Jim's artwork on the LP
  8. ???????? Beauty is one of the greatest records made imo. And I know it’s blaspheme to my fellow deadheads- but American beauty I prefer sometimes to live dead- it’s that good
  9. So without further ado, here’s Hunter S. Thompson’s Top 10: “So for whatever it’s worth–to either one of us, for that matter – here’s the list from Raoul Duke”:
  10. that's nothing for Hunter. Look how he celebrated Jack Nickolson's birthday
  11. Thanks for posting. All excellent choices by my man Hunter! I have been on a big Hunter S Thompson kick. I just reread Fear and Loathing On the Campaign Trail '72 and the Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved. And this is one of my favorite quotes- Find & Share Quotes with Friends Join Goodreads Hunter S. Thompson > Quotes > Quotable Quote “Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas. Five years later? Six? It seems like a lifetime, or at least a Main Era—the kind of peak that never comes again. San Francisco in the middle sixties was a very special time and place to be a part of. Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run . . . but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant. . . . History is hard to know, because of all the hired bull####, but even without being sure of “history” it seems entirely reasonable to think that every now and then the energy of a whole generation comes to a head in a long fine flash, for reasons that nobody really understands at the time—and which never explain, in retrospect, what actually happened. My central memory of that time seems to hang on one or five or maybe forty nights—or very early mornings—when I left the Fillmore half-crazy and, instead of going home, aimed the big 650 Lightning across the Bay Bridge at a hundred miles an hour wearing L. L. Bean shorts and a Butte sheepherder's jacket . . . booming through the Treasure Island tunnel at the lights of Oakland and Berkeley and Richmond, not quite sure which turn-off to take when I got to the other end (always stalling at the toll-gate, too twisted to find neutral while I fumbled for change) . . . but being absolutely certain that no matter which way I went I would come to a place where people were just as high and wild as I was: No doubt at all about that. . . . There was madness in any direction, at any hour. If not across the Bay, then up the Golden Gate or down 101 to Los Altos or La Honda. . . . You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning. . . . And that, I think, was the handle—that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn’t need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting—on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. . . . So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark—that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.” ― Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
  12. I’ve been cranking this song lots lately- killer COC track!
  13. I have been listening to COC since 1985 and have most of their stuff on vinyl. I got to see them last Friday! It was packed. I don’t know any other COC fans- I thought I was the only one
  14. I always thought basketball players could fix a game the easiest. Every point spread at the end of the game goes down to free throws. It would be so easy to miss free throw or two on purpose at the end of games
  15. He drafted a T, G, and C. I agree we need 2+ selections on oline. But I am ok with Risner, Pierschbacher, and Linstrom
  16. I'm gonna read that article later tonight. But I recall reading about this story years ago. One takeaway was Donaghy and whomever he was reffing with would make a bet, first one to call a foul would buy the after game pizzas. One game no foul was called for something like 8 minutes. Players were getting hammered, and looking at the ref with a look like "what the ***** do I need to do to get a call" the just give it them game was fixed IMO
  17. Antonio brown has some white legs
  18. Trade down. So far I am ok if we used our first selection on Bosa, Quinnen, Josh, Cody Ford, DK Metcalf, Jonah, or Hockenson
  19. Huge for the Bills if this goes down. Murray, Lock, Hawkins, and Jones have a shot to go top 10- and that's great for us. Cincy is an interesting trade down. It would be good to start developing a QB behind Dalton. And we would only have to drop 2 spots, and perhaps gain a 3rd round pick. And if that went down, trade down from 11 to 15 to Washington, pick up additional picks. We would have pick 15 and 12 draft picks, 7 in the top 100. Let's go QB tulip mania!
  20. It’s hard to ruin a good song worse than Donna Godchaux, but Yoko is the Mohammed Ali of sabotaging a great song. Is Yoko the most hated women ever? Or did Hilary steal that title from her?
  21. 3rd rounder at least IMO after revealing that injury. It's a crapshoot if he ever gets his speed back. Who needs a 170# possession receiver?
  22. A $60,000 car
  23. Shows how ridiculous fanspeak is. DK in 2nd is laughable as well. David Edwards in 5th- I think he will go in 1st
