I’ve done so many mocks, and it seems imperative to draft DL with our first selection. Yep there is a ton of DL- but they are all going top 20. If we go elsewhere with pick 1, I don’t see much DL post round 1. But the draft is deep at TE, RT, RB, WR- so I would target those positions post round 1, and grab a DL with first selection

2019 NFL Draft Running Back Prospect Primer
Pete replied to blacklabel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
clear cut #1 RB IMO. Everyone is grabbing D line early. And who knows how many QBs go top 10. Does someone reach for DK or Hotch? RB's have been found later in drafts(Kamara, Hunt, Lindsay), so it seems teams disvalue them. If all the DL talent is gone by 9, I much prefer a trade down. But I am ok with Josh Jacobs at 9 if draft falls that way. I think there is a shot we trade down and draft Jacobs. Players slide every draft. And each team has it's own priority draft needs. Daboll is well aware of Josh Jacobs abilities. Josh could use a young RB to help our offense rock the next 5 years -
2019 NFL Draft Running Back Prospect Primer

Josh Jacobs is my sleeper Bills pick, hopefully after a trade down. That's if there is a huge run on DL. My first pick is Oliver and DL. But they all might be gone. Then who know who Beane has top of his board at that point -
Might I add I will be pumped if we get Ed Oliver! The 2nd pick will be gravy to me

I like Lindstrom a lot, but I think we are all set on offensive line(we will only keep 9 at most). Jaylon Ferguson at edge I would prefer. We need someone to get pressure from the edge besides Hughes. I also like Taylor Rapp. He would bring much flexibility to back 7. Five or more defensive backs are on field- 2008: 43.4% 2009: 45.1% 2010: 48.8% 2011: 52.5% 2012: 54.4% 2013: 58.3% 2014: 60.3% 2015: 63.4% https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/heres-why-the-nickel-defense-is-the-new-base-defense-in-the-nfl/

If Bosa, Allen, Williams, Wilkins, Oliver, Gary are on board, the Bills will draft them IMO. If not, they trade down me thinks, acquiring an additional 2nd rounder. If those 6 are gone, what Beane does will be very interesting. Josh Jacobs is my super sleeper for the Bills pick. He just might be BPA at 9. Taylor Rapp is another player I think the Bills will consider after trading down, with one of the acquired picks

If the board fell like that, I am almost positive Beane will trade down(Bosa, Allen, Williams, Oliver, Gary, Wilkins all gone). White will be very tempting. We do not need OL after FA, and with Foster, Beasley, Brown, Zay, and Andre-WR is fairly set, maybe add another later(great value at WR in rounds 3-5). If board fell like this, hopefully a team trades up for QB and overpays. I foresee a trade down, and drafting Jaylon Ferguson for pressure, and trading back up for a TE (and/or Simmons or Tillery)
-
I am sure Beane will walk away with some 2020 picks somehow

I've seen a rich man beg I've seen a good man sinI've seen a tough man cryI've seen a loser win and a sad man grinI heard an honest man lieI've seen the good side of bad and the downside of upAnd everything betweenI licked the silver spoon drank from the golden cupAnd smoked the finest greenI stroked the fattest dimes at least a couple of timesBefore I broke their heartYou know where it ends, yo, it usually depends on where you start

That means the Bills will be drafting TE,RB,WR, and D! Josh should get some shiny new toys. The D will get some new playmakers. If Beane hits on this draft, it's going to be a fun ride for us Bills fans the next few years

Will the Bills move up for Quinnen Williams?
Pete replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Me and Kirby. And I was all in on Vander Esch. We also traded picks 75, 149 and 156 to move up 12 spots for Dawkins. Are Zay, Dawkins, and Tremaine worth picks 44, 61, 75, 149, and 156? Let's trade them all back for those picks. Do you think there are any takers? Why not? The point is, you don't trade up and waste high draft picks -

trading up for Tremaine Edmunds over Darius Leonard, costing us pick 65 Zay over JuJu costing us picks 44 and 91 do not trade up! -

thank you for translating. It's an interesting debate Gary vs Wilkins vs Oliver. One can make a strong argument for any of them to be drafted higher than the other two

5 picks in top 100- that's what I am talking about! Here is my picks 15- Andre Dillon T 40- Jeffrey Simmons DT 74-Miles Sanders RB 76-Jace Sternberger TE 96-Ben Banogu Edge

Wawrow's post has me thinking. The only players I see us trading up for are Williams and Oliver
-
bad scheme in college. #1 overall recruit out of HS. 4.58 at 285. Scheme versatile
-
Why the hate for Gary? I myself prefer Oliver, but Gary is a freak is his own right. He can shift between end or tackle. Gary and Lindstrom with our first 2 picks, after a trade down is a great start IMO. But we would receive much better compensation to trade down 6 spots

Noah Fant - trade down and draft a difference maker
Pete replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it's bull####! The NFL drags out the draft like the Superbowl. -
Massachusetts now has sports betting. Last I seen- Vegas had the odds of Buffalo winning SB 100-1 and AFC 65-1. I am not sure what Mass offers. But I would like to get in on those odds before the draft. 6 wins over is a gift! We play Miami twice
-
Elite players can be found any round(Darius Leonard in the 2nd round last year for example) There is no guarantee a first round pick will be better than a second round pick. It's basic probability- more picks increase odds of drafting an elite player

Which Prospects Do You NOT Want The Bills To Draft?
Pete replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sweat. There is much better DL available, and top 15 is way too rich for me -
Don’t you think we can improve upon Vlad, McDermont, DiMarco, Murphy, Anderson, Ray-Ray, Peco, Thompson, Marlowe, etc? Younger, cheaper, more talented and versatile- that sounds great to me!

I am guessing 5-7(including UDFA). May the best man win. My plan would be to drop back from 9, get compensated generously. Than trade back up- stockpiling too 100 picks. The Colts had 4 second rounders last draft. That was a key factor in their resurgence
