There is many dead cap ramifications to cut Von, no matter if you cut him now or after June 1. Von wants to be a Bill. I would redo his contract, and incentive it. He is not a starter, but could be a useful player for us in 2025.

Agreed. Thomas would be huge in this offense. I thought so too then, but hindsight is 20/20. I thought we would draft a useful player with our first selection in 2024, so I was wary to trade two 1s or a 1 and two 2s. I love draft capital, and am wary about the steep price to trade up usually. This year- we need starters at WR 1(still), DT, CB 1. We could probably use 2 of each. We would be hamstrung this year without a first or both 2nds. Last year we were over the cap, cutting starters, and setting up for 2025 SB run. Now we have are fresh off AFC championship, we went toe to toe with the Chefs, and we have tons of draft picks and some cap space to fill our voids, and become a stronger football team. So if I knew that we were going to screw up last years first, do the trade. But I was expecting a major contributor with our first round pick last year. Hollins played 30% of his snaps in the slot. He led the Bills WR in TDs in regular season and the playoffs. Coleman seems to me more worried about drawing a penalty, instead of focusing on finishing route and catching the football. He is often tangled up when Josh targets him. Josh targeted him against KC in a huge spot. 4 for 11 in the red zone. Hopefully this offseason Josh and Coleman dial it in. Coleman wants to be good, and I think he will train and study intensely. If Coleman can figure it out, he could be a TD monster

I hope you are right. Mack was one of the most important Bills imo. He does all the little things great. I often see Mack blocking down field to spring his fellow WR. Hes great at setting a pick, he catches everything. He can release. He shows up for Big Games. Coleman can block, and he can jump. That’s all I see. Coleman would rather play paddycakes with DB, then high point ball. He wastes so much motion and looks terribly awkward trying to release from a jam. imo it is crucial we re-sign Hollins. sure Coleman would be better in the slot. But our best WR plays in slot. Coleman was drafted to play outside, and he is failing bad. Hopefully he works hard offseason and comes back a better WR
