The Patriots' secondary is expected to be a strength in the 2025 season, with a combination of strong young players and veteran additions. Key players include Christian Gonzalez and Carlton Davis at cornerback, and Jabrill Peppers, Kyle Dugger, and Marcus Epps at safety. Key players and their roles: Cornerbacks:Christian Gonzalez: Emerging star cornerback, expected to take another leap in his development.Carlton Davis: Veteran cornerback signed in free agency, known for his physicality and press coverage.Marcus Jones: A quality slot corner, potentially playing more on offense, according to some analysts. Safeties:Jabrill Peppers: An elite safety with high overall grades in recent seasons.Kyle Dugger: A solid starter, though he battled injuries last season.Marcus Epps: Another safety who provides depth and competition. Strengths and Expectations: ESPN predicts the secondary will be the Patriots' top strength in 2025.The combination of Gonzalez and Davis is expected to be one of the league's top cornerback duos. The Patriots are aiming to re-establish their defensive identity with a revamped coaching staff and a strong secondary.NBC Sports Boston suggests the secondary has the potential to be a shutdown unit. While other teams in the division, like the Patriots and Dolphins, are expected to improve, the Bills are seen as the clear frontrunners. Here's a more detailed look at the projected wins for each team: Buffalo Bills: Projected to win the division, with some predictions placing their win total at 12-5 or even 13-4. New England Patriots: Expected to be more competitive than recent years, with projections around 9-8. Miami Dolphins: Projections range from 8-9 to potentially 10-11 wins, with health being a key factor. New York Jets: Projected to be at the bottom of the division, with predictions around 7-10 wins. The Bills' dominance in the division is largely attributed to their strong performance over the past five seasons and the continued presence of star quarterback Josh Allen. However, the Patriots, with new leadership and some key acquisitions, are seen as the most likely to challenge the Bills for the division title. Jackson Hawes too. Cook is elite. It seems every game Cook gets deep in second level, open field ahead, Cook starts to turn on his ✈️, and just gets shoe string tackled by the last defense. Cook almost breaks long TDs a couple times a game. I agree with Reggie Gilliam! I love his game!

Game week thread - Chiefs at Bills (Video preview on pg. 19)
Pete replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why? Do you think Andy Reid can learn something from Joe Brady? 😂 🤣 😂 -
I think Joe is over his head. He was always surrounded by greatness, people just assumed he was. His game plans are stupid imo. Falcons #1 blitz blitzing team, you would have thought Joe would have game planned for that. Evidently not. You would have thought Brady would have made adjustments for the blitz, especially since he was unprepared, and Josh was getting pummeled, over and over. Zero adjustments. Gameplan and adjustments? Isn’t that a Coordinators job description? Bills D got run over in first half. Bobby made adjustments, and Bills D played great in 2nd half. The lack of intermediate passes is bush league. Thid is not 1940s Football

Joe B (The Athletic) on passing game problems (with data)
Pete replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is my theory. And thats why Josh seems to be miserable. Grandma calls Josh to remind him to smile? Thats the polar opposite of Golden Retriever Josh that we love and know. I believe Josh is extremely frustrated with Joes dink and dunk, game manager offence. I think hes frustrated when no WR is open for 11 seconds. I think he beaten up from the ZPats and Falcons. And I think Josh knows the answers, but he is a good soldier, and does what hes told, even though hes often in a no win situation -
Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?

DJ Moore ill overpay for -
Its a passing league, and ours is broken. Average defenses have stifled our offense. As long as we dont have a WR that defenses respect, teams are going to continue to stack the box, cage rush, spy in middle, overload one side, and we have no answers. Its a copycat league, and teams will continue to so. And 7 yard average depth passes doesnt scare any team at all. This team will go as far as James Cook takes us IMO. But if you cant pass, your not going to win many games. How the hell do you do a 2 minute drive if you cant pass? The solution is so obvious. Beane caved last year and traded a precious draft pick for Amari, and it worked out. Defenses backed up when we added Amari. (to refresh your memory-Bills offense sucked the 3 games prior to Amari). Once we added Amari, the Bills offense rocked! It wasnt that Amari put up great #s. It was that the Bills finally had a WR that respected. It opened up the middle of defense for Cook, Dalton,Hollins. Pre Amari Josh had one of his worst games against HJouston. Same ***** as this year. Its the Emperors New Clothes. How can Beane not fix it?

KC is gonna make a big deal. And you know Philly is making a big deal. What’s your move Beane? Why are we waiting? -
Mack Hollins for 1. Josh would actually have a WR he could pass to beyond 7 yards. The Amari Cooper affect. We added Amari and our offense made a huge jump after he was added. Beane has a hard time learning from mistakes imo

Mayes throws intermediate and deep throws. Is it the coordinator or the QB? Me thinks it’s the play design -

The fact that Josh has taken a beating, and Brady can’t make adjustments, I hold that against Brady. It really pisses me off that Josh takes a beating and we have no answers 😡 -

That’s my hope. Grassroots Mafia movement. We need WRs and we need intermediate and deep passes. If if Beane can’t provide a quality WR asap, and/or if Brady can’t start designing passes longer than 4 yards- get a new GM and Coordinator asap IMO -

We are not running deep or intermediate outs. That’s why I post so much data and video proving Joe is borderline incompetent Cooridinator. It’s why 2/3 of TBD voted Brady is the main problem with the Bills passing game. -

Obvious we need a WR and intermediate passes to everyone but the Bills office and coordinator. Keep the data coming, maybe it will open up some closed minds. 12 completions 3.92 yards average depth 🤮 -
but I would take 2024 Thomas over Olave

Olave. He loves ball. Thomas is a mystery

10/26/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Panthers 2nd Half game thread
Pete replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
he could of learned. After that trade, the Bills offense rocked. We lose Amari, and Mack, and sign Palmer. Then added Moore after Beane went on WGR. Beane could of been proactive, and hooked up Josh. Instead it takes a couple losses, 2 games of Josh getting battered, Josh stops smiling, a ***** passing offense...and maybe Beane makes that trade -
too much. How about a 4th for Thomas, and go from there.

add a quality WR, and I believe we might win the Super Bowl. Now we need help on DL too with Ed's injury. Huge loss -

He sucks in the slot too, surprisingly. The metrics show this. Josh has a very low QB rating throwing to Keon from slot
