is this where i cue the pocket pool reference? jw

well, given what you apparently know on the Schobel front, you've picked the pdadDy pony to back by agreeing, and i quote, with "everything" he's said. good luck with that. i'll go with what i know. jw (edited)

cheap shot alert: sure, but you likely heard it third-hand. jw

let me put this as politely as possible, as you've been going on and on and on about things you know absolutely nothing about, which leads me to believe that you are either drunk, delusional, and very likely a danger to yourself and others. you've turned a thread about Aaron Schobel into some psycho-crazed commentary filled with capital-letter rants and far-fetched assumptions that do nothing to further your point, unless, of course, it is your intention to expose yourself as a crank and full-fledged baloney-babbler, and actually take seriously the thoughts that make the slow leak from brain to fingers and on to this board. please prove me wrong by simply stopping. that way you'll be relieved of the weight of having to dump your waste upon us, and also allow us to pursue an actual discussion to its logical conclusion without having to wade through all this, well, crap. sincerely, jw

simply, no. jw

missed your first missive for some reason back in june, and opened this one by mistake, so my fault. but here goes: you don't have to go all the way back to Bruce Smith to find players who signed prior to start of training camp. Evans and Losman both signed on the day the team reported to camp. Lynch missed one day of camp. Mike Williams signed in time to join the team for its first full-squad training camp session. And McKelvin missed only two days of camp. what was your point again? jw

AP's got it, too. ran an alert at 10:52 a.m. citing persons with knowledge of decision. jw -

just played 9 at Shadow Pines as there was a tournament at Shadow Lakes. didn't mind the course. carded a few 8's but that was mostly because of my unfamiliarity of the course -- though i did drain it in the water on 8. highlight was getting a 2 on the par-3 7. tee shot within 6 feet of the hole ... musta had my eyes closed. jw -

oh, what a bunch of funny people. geez, and i think i asked politely, too. Oak Hill, i've played twice and despite my whopping scores both times, i can say that i parred Nos. 8 and 9 the last time i played during a media day thingy before the senior pga. thanks, though for the Shadow Lake recommendation. someone else among the media ranks also suggested that place. jw -

the point you seem to be missing ... ah, screw it. yugo's get better mileage. jw -
if he reports and passes the physical, he "could" be due a part of the $2 million, but not his 2010 salary, which doesn't start kicking in until season begins. as noted in my story, Schobel was informed the Bills would cut him if he reported. i would lean toward d) releasing him if he reports and he retires or signs with another team; e) retires. jw

so you're a Patriots' fan, then, are you. jw -
no they won't, because he would, at the very least, remain on the Reserve/Did Not Report list. jw

unfortunately, i'm not worthy. played Ravenswood a few times and got on to Cobblestone once, but not looking for a "links" course. and prefer walking rather than cart. jw -
Looking for a relatively inexpensive and easy public golf course I can get out on first thing tomorrow (Tuesday) morning out here in Rochester-Pittsford land. I'm staying in Brighton, so anything close to their would do, too. Don't want to drive too far and don't need some high-falutin course, because I don't have the game for it. Any thoughts, oh legion of people? jw

no. you've proven my point. jw -
Aaron told me they informed him that it's at the point now that if he reports, then they would release him. hey, i'm simply quoting him. jw
-
it's not about playing here or anywhere. he was interested in playing here, and even began considering relocating his family back to Buffalo for one more season -- something that he had discounted a few months ago. we are, as someone close to Aaron once said, "on Aaron's time," and the only one who makes that clock tick is Aaron Schobel. it's not about money, either. the Bills, up until today, were fully willing to pay Schobel for this season. Schobel put the team in this position. he acknowledges that this is his doing because he can't make up his mind. he doesn't fault the Bills either for making their decision. jw

it's not the only example, but obviously, you have one opinion on this very polarizing issue, which i should know better not to wade into. i understand some of the points that people are making and have time and time again acknowledged that Mr. Wilson -- like anyone -- has his faults. but the problem i have with those people is that they fail to acknowledge any points raised in Mr. Wilson's defense and take comments and posts out of context in order to self-satisfy their world is black or white point of view and cul-de-sac minds. jw -
you can redo numbers, but you can't redo years, and this is where things get extremely sticky and i don't know if Schobel's got the patience for that. there's also the $2 million roster bonus that i don't think can simply go away, given the fact that it was due on March 1 (but based upon him passing a physical.) in reality, though, i just don't know how interested Schobel is in playing, given that i do believe him when he says he hasn't made up his mind yet. jw
