  1. Quit using reason. It will get you nowhere in a lynchmob Jw
  2. no word, though i'm spending most of my "day off" monitoring. heard earlier this week that Titans were interested in Levitre. jw
  3. for what it's worth: teams are allowed to only contact prospective free agent players (other than their own), and are limited to only dealing with their agents. no contracts, as a result, can be signed until Tuesday. as well, teams are not allowed to discuss or arrange travel plans with prospective free agents (other than their own). jw
  4. meh. jw and i certainly don't think starting 4-5 new threads helps make the case.
  5. thanks for posting. i got backed up with a few things. jw
  6. that was my piece. most AP stories espn posts on its websites includes a standing feature profiling their own writers. that's their perogative, and i'm fine with that. hey, they help pay my wages. as for a question regarding the bills being handcuffed by the cap. even at $19 million in space, that is not a lot of money. take into account their rookie draft picks and two mid-range free-agent additions and half of that cap space is just about eaten up. let's keep in mind that most teams, including the bills, like to keep space open through the summer and also through the season. and when it comes to spending to the cap, the bills must also keep room if they intend to attempt to extend player contracts during the season. jw
  7. that is both funny and accurate. well done. jw
  8. obviously, to paraphrase a certain sgt. schultz, "you know nothing." jw
  9. and yet, you contradict yourself by putting Cheers ahead of the Simpsons!?! jw
  10. since we're dealing with comedy and lists, i'd rank this list of comedies as among the worst i've ever seen -- well, today at least ... jw
  11. Questions: 1) which Office. BBC one was/is far superior than NBC one. 2) please, with the Flight of the Conchords. it was good but not so good that it's one notch behind All in the Family. 3) speaking of All in the Family, really? 31st? Complaint: the biggest and most glaring omission is the failure to list "The Dick Van Dyke Show." rank it where ever you will, and I'd have it in my top 15, but failing to include that show in a list of top-50 is wrong. that's like someone failing to include The Simpsons on the list ... oh, sorry, they did that, too. utter fail. jw
  12. to be accurate, the two sides -- Bills representative and Byrd representatives -- are expected to meet at Combine. players usually don't attend these types of meetings. jw
  13. oh, i didn't realize all caps made a difference. my mistake. boom? jw
  14. what coach doesn't preach competition. ... of course, Fitzpatrick vs. Jackson is one thing. Mario Williams vs. ? is another, right? jw
  15. all i'm saying is credit should be given when credit is due, something which PFT failed to do in its post by failing to mention The Associated Press while only linking the story. ... on occassion, i find PFT plays favorites by mentioning some publications and not always mentioning others. and, if not for the AP, espn.com in particular and PFT to a certain degree, wouldn't have very much to put on its sites to reference. ... though it usually goes uncredited or the credit is used as "wire services" or "The Associated Press contributed to this report," much of espn.com's content is populated by AP stories. jw
  16. Why not also link the actual story to which PFT links to? Here it is: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ex-adviser-young-needed-loan-183744746--nfl.html jw
  17. question Kelsay all you want. yet, he tried to play through the injury before aggravating it. and, he was one of the few -- only? -- defensive players to call out the rest of the unit publicly and on the record to try to shake things up. jw
  18. Kelsay released this info after I spoke to him. He's working out and approaching it as if he's going to be back, while aware that the decision is not entirely his. jw
  19. Kelsay told AP today that he was cleared to resume practicing after being examined by Bills doctors last month. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/buffalo-bills-cut-2-veterans-200525399--nfl.html jw
  20. odd, AP's reporting Fitzpatrick hasn't been contacted regarding the possibility of restructuring deal. jw
  21. last i checked, he's been on a team that actually made the playoffs. jw
  22. nah, i like broadway, too. but whatever last shred of "alternative" relevance green day had was cashed in when they cashed out. jw
  23. i'm a fan of Beyonce, and yet that half-time performance was dreadful. no better than the Black-Eyed Peas a few years back. trouble with this, in my opinion, is that pop acts generally have difficulty "filling" a stadium, and the music comes off as being small, drowned out and distorted. and it's even worse when translated on tv. best half-time act in recent memory to me was Springsteen. i thought he delivered by bringing an intensity to his performance. as for someone suggesting green day, ugh! maybe we should check to see if the super bowl conflicts with their precious broadway show. jw
  24. with respect, my mention of the truth was in reference to the truth coming out once the next season begins, as in: you can't hide performance. jw
