  1. again, you're comprehension skills are lacking. i didn't just critique your grammar. jw
  2. i'm extremely disapointed (sic) with your spelling as well as your comprehension abilities. however, your instinct for kneejerk reactions seems to be working well. jw
  3. why: for re-opening the vote to a panel of 50 non-AP journalists, to determine whether Cushing should keep an award after testing positive for a banned substance. and the fact that 18 of those non-AP journalists voted in favor of Cushing somehow casts an ill light on the AP? so, what you're saying is that the AP should have somehow rigged the vote so that Cushing didn't win. yes, i see the credibility in that. jw NOTE: The AP just recently moved a list of the voters and how they voted. For those who care to do a search for it, it's somewhere out there on the intrawebs.
  4. and what Jauron said was true. whatever my views are on the results of this vote are generally immaterial, and i shall not share them here because it's not my place in part because of a conflict of interest. but i think it creates for a great discussion, aside from, of course, the "sky's falling," types who demand people be fired for having and expressing and sticking up for their opinions -- which is what they are paid to do in the first place. jw
  5. i cannot speak for those who cast their votes. if you read the latest story that's moved on the AP wire, it quotes two voters who stuck with Cushing. why not you be the judge. jw
  6. so it was carnal knowledge, given this description, eh? jw
  7. People: The Associated Press organizes the vote and tabulates the ballots. The voters are not AP writers. They are writers and broadcasters from other publications who cover the NFL. Let's make this clear. jw
  8. The NFL had no say in The Associated Press' decision. The decision was made by the AP to have a re-vote. I cannot speak to anything further, because I was not involved in the discussion, nor am I one of the 50 voters. How this went down is how this went down. jw
  9. Story just moved on wire.
  10. why, is his mother-in-law cute? jw
  11. and you're next! heh, heh. jw
  12. have said before, don't like jack white. though his sound is somewhat unique, i find that to be a problem. it's a little too unique and over the top. much of the stripe's albums i found to be unlistenable. and his over-the-top meddling influence in producing and helping record Ms. Loretta Lynn's solo album a couple of years back took away from -- and did not add -- to what was otherwise a very solid project. it's as if jack went into the thing thinking he could be for Lynn what Rick Rubin was to Mr. Johnny Cash in producing the American recordings. white's effort proved far too meddlesome and, if not over-ambitious, too egotistical to put himself in a position where he thought he belonged in the same studio as someone like Lynn. it would take a lot for me to change my opinion on him, because right now, it's obviously low. i do respect that some here like him. and there's nothing wrong with that. jw
  13. well, at the very least, it disqualifies you from winning. jw
  14. sorry, what's the no-brainer here? jw
  15. ah ha! so admit you knowingly and willingly validated my victory while likely being sober. i'll certainly keep this nugget for when the jury convenes in the event of any questions raised over my use of shotgun©. your concession has been duly noted. and i thank you! jw
  16. sorry, even you declared me a winner a couple dozen pages ago. precedence and validation have been confirmed. there is no going back. jw
  17. and yet, he's not spent time in jail here in Buffalo. unless you know something different? jw
  18. so, i check in TBD's Off the Wall section and see this thing is still up and running, even though it's already been documented that i've won this sucker. shotgun ©. jw
  19. the house has been on the market for the past 2-3 months. that it sold is the only new information here. as i noted in the other Schobel thread, the AP reported he had his house on the market in March and that he had permanently relocated his family back to texas. if he elected to return for this season, he intended to rent. jw
