I say for a 2nd next year I would do it and still would draft a T in rd1 this year.
-
I don't think it is funny that his **** got ruined but blaming Al Quida is funny.
-
Jauron probably did it.
-
True but he was a phisical specimen and very rare there has never been a 3-4 DE comparable to him you will find that Seymour is 300+. I pointed that out to make a point that people just are not getting about the 3-4. Are you crazy he had 6.5 sacks his rookie year which is great for a Rookie 3-4 DE and we apparently were ready to declare him a bust after he had 15 sacks in his second year. WOW please don't ever respond to one of my post again with crap like this and to help what your saying which really has nothing to do with my post he came in to camp his second year in great phisical shape.

Why are we keeping 4-3 players on our payroll?
manbeast replied to Billsfan=pain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As long as we are discussing Schobel who stats are these over the last 8 seasons? 381tks 81sks 41pd 6ints 30ff AS 441tks 72.5sks 24pd 3ints 19ff Schobels are somewhat comparable to guy aboves. Schobel also doesn't play on as good of a team. I'll give you a hint he just signed a monster contract. I bet if we released him he would get even more than the 9 mil we are giving him. -

Do you guys read any of the news. They have already said who will be doing what. all of our DEs are being moved to OLB and there has been speculation that they will actually fit that roll better. Schobel included what you guys don't seem to realise is that 3-4 OLBs generaly are 4-3 DEs look at the player projections for prospects. Not all 4-3 DEs are suited for this but most are. If you are thinking this you really need to research it not many colleges run 3-4 Ds. DTs translate into DEs and DEs translate to OLBs. Bruce was a 300 pound DT/3-4DE. -

While the number of tackles are comparable the other stats are not quite as comparable. Schobel is smaller and faster he is quick that is how he does well at DE even though he is undersized. The stats would also suggest he is better in coverage and more aware of the location of the ball. AS-9yrs-483tks-78sks-26passesdef.-3ints-19ff AK-8yrs-458tks-54sks-8passesdef.-0ints-12ff Doesn't mean he will succeed but he has a better chance and I believe he will transition. Although they are not asked to cover recievers down field they need to be able to drop back in zone coverage. -
If Schobel and Maybin can transition well to OLB and I believe they can and we strike gold in the draft at NT baring injuries I believe we could field a formidable Defense. This is all speculation and there are some "ifs" but our D may be something to look forward to. Probably all we have to look forward to.
-
We have used Schobel in zone coverage before. I believe both will be fine you don't ask any OLB in the NFL to cover deep. He is not going to cover a 20 yard route.

Some people just have missed the dimensions of the 3-4 even though me and several others have explained it a million times already. Someone told me Spencer Johnson has had experience playing DE in the 3-4 but I have not had a chance to look into it. I have just arrived to the point that they will realise it next year and I am not going to argue with them. Schobel will make an excellent OLB in the 3-4 IMO. The said thing is that all they have to do is look at the draft boards and see the guys that project to OLB/4-3DE and under stand that the 2 are close. OLB has to be quicker than the average DE and that is why not all the 4-3 DEs are projected this way. They will also notice the DT/DE these are 3-4 DEs. The 300 pound Bruce Smith was projected as a DT/DE we played a 3-4 the rest is history.

NO and cincinnati are also believed to be interested. He's not the guy that's gonna get you the TD but he will keep you drive alive so someone else has a chance to do so. Cotrary to popular belief he gets open and when he does he knows where the 1st down marker is. That's why he earned the nick-name around the league "Mr. First-down".
-
Not going to argue about it Sally do your own homework Evans and TO had eye poping numbers as well right. In 2008 before we traded JP he was leading the league on third downs before being injured never quite regained it after his injury. Look into it. Instead of just attacking someone who does their homework before posting anything. He is not an explosive reciever he is a possesion reciever and if his hands are so bad why has he only fumbled twice in his entire career.
-
True NT often have to chase the WR down field 20-30 yards.

Don't we need a bunch of new d linemen and LBs?
manbeast replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Really, Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix see it differently. They see Kelsay, Ellis, Maybin and if he stays Schobel all at OLB they are all to small to be DEs in the new scheme and actually may even fit OLB better than DE to begin with. Good homework though. -
Josh Reed is regarded as one of the best slot recievers in the NFL. Maybe only behind Wes Welker. The only reason Welker is better is because he is explosive and has a better O-line, coach, fellow WR, QB, TE, did I miss anything.
-
you see Miami sends them good players too and then B word that they don't have a good WR.
-
He is Moss's successor and will go to many pro bowls. LOL just our luck.
-
They have to much invested to not try and win it all next season.

Could the Bills be considering trading down?
manbeast replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always get a sick when I hear of this as if any of these famous rich ass !@#$ers have to force anyone. I'd bet 95% of the time it's a lye. It's about free $$$$$$. They will forever tarnish someones reputation whether they did it or not. -
Sorry we had no idea we were talking to a defensive scout which team is it you work for. Don't be nasty and act like your above everyone else they asked a simple question. They don't deserve a dickhead response. There must be something there if Polian was ready to cough up a draft pick for the guy. What I myself can't figure out is why he looks dominant one minute and lost the next. It's got to be a motivation thing.

Wow, David Carr drawing some interest

Same QB's = Same Result = Wasted Year
manbeast replied to sabres...yawn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Better line=Same QBs playing better Gailey>Jauron How much better I don't know. -
Because I would give a 3rd for Breaston and he is alot cheaper. Why not trade him now they don't have to pay him and they have an extra 3 and 4 rather than having nothing for him are they really going to have a shot at the SB which would be his final next year????
-
It probably would have only took our third to get him. Can anyone tell me who we could get in the 3rd that is better. We are definitely in rebuilding mode. I don't see why they didn't go for it other than money which is less than Evans makes and not much more than TO made. These guys must not plan on winning for 3-4 years and to think I have tried to have a positive outlook.
