interesting fact to note is that april was being lambasted in st. louis last year for that team's lack of special teams production. i don't know what that means regarding the bills, but i know it's true. rams fans were not sorry to se him go. the guy was getting scalded last season... meanwhile, we probably woiuld not have evn been in the hunt last wekend without him. go figure. which reminds me...is bruse dehAVEn still with the 49ers??

january 96...home playoff game vs. miami...the day we B word-slapped the fish and convinced shula it was time to hang up the whistle. for some bizarre reason i could not sleep a wink the night before the game...i mean not for 1 minute. so i woke my buddy up early and dragged him to the stadium about 5 hrs before kickoff...we got ripped to the outer gills of course, and just spent hours wandering the lots hooting and hollering and popping beers with total strangers....and just loved every minute of the beatdown that ensued..

sorry, but when a rookie qb steps in and wins 14 games in a row to start his career, he wins rookie of the year.

if we control the clock, theyare beatable...but i don't even what to think about it till next week.

of course, when i look at the standings, i see that if we were in the old three-division format, we'd still be the #7 seed at the moment. oops. in the nfc, seattle would be a wild-card instead of a division champ...other than that, not much changes. oh well, i still like the old way better.
