that, and the fact that this team is as soft as the fur on a bunnie's ass.

i could not agree more. i have always said these guys talk too much. we have been treated to a lot of ridiculous crap this year by a team who never fails to "come up small (to borrow a suddenly popular phrase)" when it matters. we've had the "worlds greatest defense" comment, the "i'm the greatest running back" comment, not to mention fletcher's lambeau leap...and remember that was after a routine 3-and-out. all that false bravado is nothing more than turd polish as far as i am concerned.

i am not convinced we should cut anyone on the list because i have no faith in donohoe's ability to find a better player for any amount of money. so needless to day, i am not very optimistic about '06 either, because the players on the original list are all gettig old fast.

i had that surgery last january (from mcnabb's dr., no less)and trust me, if these guys have S.H. they are !@#$ed. you will not see them contributing until at least march. and my fantasy team will be !@#$ed too

i agree to a point...except that donohoe SHOULD NOT have given williams that kind of money...what he should have done is what he is paid to do: draft capable replacements for these guys when they price themselves out of the market. if he was doing his job there would be enough good DTs and ILBs on this roster that sam could still be sam.
-
i think the guy's probably a dickhead, but he STILL should be on the field. even playing the "wrong way" he's still better than anything else we have. but i understand mularkey's pov as well- his hands are tied: he has been handed a steaming pile of schitt for an interior defense (thanks td)and he's just trying to use his players in a way that will minimize the damage. that means sam has to sacrifice his stats and try to plug the middle, as oppose to trying to cheat and shoot the gaps to get sacks. if we had another good nose tackle and a real middle linebacker, that might work, but with this roster sam is going to have to put the team first and just plug the middle. apparently he doesn't want to do that. so i don't blame mularkey for sitting him down. at this point it is too late to build around sam's talents. donohoe should have done that last summer, but he didn't.

we also have a sizable core of underachievers with no one on the horizon worthy of replacing them. 5 years into donohoe's tenure, that IS a JOKE.
-
i thought it was a joke the day they hired this guy.

Leave your "Fire TD" signs at home....

sounds good in theory but it really doens't help us...after all, who do you think will be MAKING these picks? oh yeah.....donohoe.

i'm with you 100%. i'm not making this up: for the first time in my LIFE i voluntarily did not watch the game today. i had so much work to do, and anyway it would have involved me driving across town to a buddy's house, so at 1:15 i just looked at the clock and said "ah, !@#$ it." by 2:15 the curiosity was getting to me so i logged onto nfl.com and accessed that page where they show the results of each play as they happen. apparently, we got down into the red zone but a dumb(?) 15-yarder by willis made us settle for a field goal. so i went back to work, only to get itchy again by the 4th quarter. it was 6-6. the bills settled for another FG, and there was 4 mins left. i told myself "self, you know carolina's going to march down the field and score the winning TD right NOW." how predictable, eh? so i go away for awhile and come back....and SHAZAM- it's 13-9. then i made another amazing prediction. i said to myself, "self, the bills are NOT going to come back and win. they will probably turn the ball over before it ends." and what do you know... i realize that going 2-for-2 on bold predictions such as these makes me roughly TBD's 5186th official "master of the obvious." so i'm not bragging. i just wanted to point out, that after 35 years, i hate this team so bad i couldn't even be bothered to watch them !@#$ up yet another very winable game. this whole franchise is so !@#$ed up that i honestly don't care what they do. they have become little more than a waste of time money and emotional energy for me. i may or may not bother watching next week. we'll see. meanwhile, go sabres. i know you'll also tear my heart out before it's over, but i guess i will just enjoy it while it lasts. by the way, if you want to know what my next amazingly-bold-yet-dead-on prediction is, i will tell you now: look for TD to say the bills are still in it, and just need to be more "consistent."
-
exactly. it seems futile to even worry about who they'll take, because the bills have proven to me they can't evaluate talent well enough to stock a roster. they only solution is to fire TD and hire rtconner to be gm. he would make sweet draft picks.
-
good news for bills fans: the sabres take the ice in 10 minutes!
-
and that's that. great job guys. we're almost there. we just need to be more consistent.
-
i hate this team.
-
williams is out again? did he bruise his uterus?
-
no fair. that 50 yarder was made when the outcome was still in question
-
as we all know, the only reason we are 7th vs. the pass is because it's so easy to run against us, many teams don't bother to pass.
-
no worries...if we only lose by 37, it will be an improvement over last week.
-
i gave him the benefit of the doubt for as long as possible...this year has put me over the top. the guy cabn't stock a roster. i really believe rtconner would make a better gm...at least as far as the draft is concerned.
-
GO SABRES! the nicest thing i can say about the habs is that they have had the good "sence" ( ) not to change the best uniforms in pro hockey.
-
..or they have forgotten sam cowart before the torn achilles! not to mention chris spielman! god bless him because lord knows this team could use more guys with his kind of heart, but as a MLB, fletcher is a joke!

i was driving through philly today and listening to WIP. howard eskin had a copy of the 38 pages of testimony from the hearings. long story short, it was NOT just about T.O.vs. McNabb. Based on not only the testimony of the hearings, but transcripts of actual phone conversations, T.O. was COMMITTED to disrupting the eagles in retaliation for not re-doing his contract. the thing with mcnabb was only an EXCUSE to keep it up. howard read from 3 lengthy letters from reid to owens regarding specific incidents. i am no fan of mcnabb; i don't care what a solid citizen he is. but bottom line is, that owens has been looking to cause trouble since day 1. and every bills fan should be ecstatic he didn't get away with it, because you KNOW willis was watching the proceedings VERY closely. the nfl arbitrator probably saved the bills a major headache next year. and btw, much was made of the fact that gene upshaw "fired" the arbitrator in retaliation for the ruling...turns out the guy's contract was up in 10 days anyway and he was not6 coming back! lol....what a bull sh-- grandstand move by the nflpa, who SHOULD be distancing themselves from ownes for the sake of their own credibility!! what balls it takes to "fire" a guy who is about to quit next week!!
