  1. yeah wtf was he doing back there?! is he our new puntcather? i watched the game in a restaurant with no sound, so i figured there must be a REALLY good reason?
  2. i don't think so...the "jets lose last 5" prediction was mcguire...i'm sure of it.
  3. we've known this is a talent-poor roster since day 1, so OF COURSE no game will be easy. we've also known we don't have a great line. to me this game was not a huge surprise. nonetheless, i think jauron will have them ready to play.
  4. i've been critical of mcgahee before, but i thought he played one of his better games yesterday. i think travis henry would have had negative yards behind our o-line yesterday. mcgahee actually deserves a lot of credit for toughing out a lot of the yardage on his own. of course, the cynic in me wonders how long it will be before he starts whining about it....but that's a topic for another thread...
  5. these guys can't bang out first downs between the tackles against ANYONE. almost cost them another game today! don't get me wrong; penalties notwithstanding, i was happy with pretty much every other phase of the game today. but this line is definitely the galring weakness on the team.
  6. i agree jason...he looked pretty bad. i'm not flushing the guy down the toilet just yet, but i was disappointed.
  7. it is not the playcalling. it is this p.o.s. o-line.
  8. not when the game was on the line. and i should have clarified earlier but was sort of in a hurry---the d-line got beat pretty soundly today as well.
  9. i don't think he abandoned it as much as the jets took it away by adjusting the defense and exploiting the bills' mistakes to take the lead. and this was a HORRIBLE day to have to come from behind.
  10. i agree with you bill. and i know i won't find many here who agree, but i think pennington is UNDERRATED as a field general. the crap conditions and the kind of game they neccesitated were tailor made for him imo. how many times does that mothereffer have to embarrass us before bills fans give him some repect?
  11. i watched the game with no sound which may or may not have changed my impression of things, but i will say this: 1. losman made some mistakes, but STILL looks like a guy that can get it done in this league. 2. willis did a terrible job blocking which resulted in the jets defensive TD. 3. to me, the culprit in this loss was (yaawwwwwwnnn, once again) the o-line. when the jets moved up in the 2nd quarter to take the run away, they o-line could not respond by giving losman adequate time to exploit it. that is what turned the game, in my opinion. you guys can scapegoat whomever you want, but the bottome line is that we lost this game in the trenches. big shocker there, eh?
  12. I am coming out of hibernation to crow...Marques Colston of the Saints, who caught the winning TD vs. Green Bay, is one of my favorite former students at Susquehanna Twp. H.S. in Harrisburg PA. I am so proud of that guy! He used to show up in our weight room between semesters...getting bigger and bigger every time I saw him. But he was quiet as a mouse...a big puppy dog just like his dear old dad, who was one of the most wonderful youth track coaches I ever met, until he tragically died when Marques was a kid. Honestly I thought he was just too timid to ever make it big...I remember how he kept telling me his goal was to get drafted, and I thought...man, i don't know buddy...I am so happy I don't know sh-- about football! Seriously, if he keeps it up, yu will read more and more about him in the coming weeks. But I just want you all to know that when you read about what a shy modest humble guy he is, it's not b.s. He really is the antithesis of what the "modern" nfl receiver is supposed to be...trust me when I say you'd have been proud to have him in our colors. ps...i am telling the above story a LOT today, not only because I am very proud, but because Marques is hot news in my new home, WISCONSIN.
  13. kelly chose to go to miami because he WASN'T recruited to play lb. it was joe pa who wanted him to play linebacker.
  14. really? you don't think we should be giving him a breather on 3rd downs? certainly you don't want him in there on 3rd downs with the game on the line do you?
  15. i'm sure he had an aneurism and croaked halfway through the 3rd quarter.
  16. best line: "i'm just here to facilitate everbody gettin wasted."
  17. dude. rugby rugby rugby rugby. i hate to sound like a broken record, but that is the sport that deserves the attention soccer gets. i just got up at 3:30 am to watch the New Zealand All Blacks beat Ireland last night on a live internet stream and i was as happy as a pig in ****. It was great. I love the Bills till the day I die, but there are so many things about international rugby that are better than the NFL... it's just sad that most Americans don't know anything about it. or, now that i think about it, maybe not.
  18. bills win fewer than 5 games.
  19. now that's a world cup match-up even i can enjoy
  20. thanks for this post. i am going to a clinic at UNLV in july and was sort of dreading it because i am not into gambling or hookers, and i hate the climate. my girlfriend is coming out for the last 3 days and i was sort of wondering what we could do. any other recommendations?
  21. they hate it because they no longer broadcast it.
  22. this sport, with all the floundering and diving and creative hair cuts...not to mention all the phony-a$$ media hype created to make you chant U-S-A while you wave your little 4"x6" american flag...it nauseates me. i really hope we lose again. and then the same guys who were waving their flags and chiding you for not being more interested can start carping and sniping at the team for sucking when they were supposed to be good. i give it all a fat "whateva." now if we ever got our sh-- together at RUGBY, now that i'd be into. it is 10x the spectacle that soccer is and way more interesting. and it's certainly no harder to understand than football. an ps...i don't hate "international sports"...i love track and field, and formula 1. and rugby of course. i just hate soccer.
  23. here's where i go for auto racing discussion in all it;s glorious forms: http://insider.speedtv.com/
