  1. this is the part of your argument i agree with...our crowds just aren't the same as they used to be.
  2. you're kidding?! what nba team does he play for?
  3. absoluetely. i live in wisconsin now...on the opposite side of the state from green bay...MUCH closer to where the vikes play. people are still nuts about the pack. and the weather is colder and they STILL are climbing all over each other for tickets. i think they could get 90000 fans a week if the lambeau had room. and not only is green bay a smaller markert, but the entire state of wisconsin only has about 5 million people. and it's a decent sized state. i have felt for a very long time that bills fans are not as hardcore as they like to believe they are, and to me, the last 2 weeks proves it. frankly, i think they're just sort of embittered from the whole experience of coming so close but never winning. it has just sort of stuck itself in everyone's paw, and i think folks are just discouraged. 6 years of sucking is a long time anyway...
  4. dude, i am about 60% with you on this one...but there is also a line you can't cross. if you're so jacked up by what you're seeing on the field, jump up and go nuts...that's you're prerogative. but just get out of the way before the next play starts. i agree with you that the crowds just aren't what they used to be and it's really a shame...but on the other hand, a little bit of good judgement goes a long way here...
  5. Bring it.
  6. intersting take. and it sort of falls into line with my theory that the reason we've suffered so much over the years (more bad teams than good since the merger) is that RALPH WILSON has made more than his share of bad decisions. poor marketing might be another one. but i think the most important factor is that folks are under no illusions about how good this team is. they're just not that good. i live a 1000 miles from buffalo now and make over 20k less than i did a year ago. i am coming east for christmas and can afford to go to ONE game... this year i picked the sabres.
  7. sorry, but miami has looked like the better team lately ...but that is soon to change!
  8. hey! marangi wasn't all bad! that first pass he threw against miami still brings a smile to my face. not sure what happened after that...
  9. i went to the S.D. game in '03...it was 30s and windy with misty rain the whole time...AWESOME FOOTBALL WEATHER. we had a great time and the bills kicked their ass.
  10. I will never get that...to me there is no better time to attend a home game than December. If you use your head when you're dressing for the game, the weather is a non-issue! (99% of the time at least)
  11. absolutely....i wish i could be there! NOWHERE i'd rather be on a sunday morning in december than a tailgate at the ralph.
  12. my favorite was when he tough-guy ranted at JDG...."I'VE SEEN YOUR PICTURE GIORGIS!!"
  13. if you are thinking playoffs...you should be thinking this: jax...NET YARDS RUSHING 207 Rushes ...35 Average Per Rush ...5.9 buf...NET YARDS RUSHING 72 Rushes ...23 Average Per Rush...3.1 our rush defense is APPALLING
  14. i was listening on Sirius and I couldn't believe how loud it was. Murph said in the 4th quarter that it was the loudest croud of the year. Way to represent you guys!
  15. i think willis has some character issues, but runs hard for the most part. i think he turns chicken sh-- into chicken salad more often that some care to admit. this line really is horrible and that is the primary reason he's not more productive. but having said that, i don't think he;s irreplacable. if the bills can get an early 3rd rounder for him they should jump. i am not holding my breath for that, though.
  16. i have always been a fan. i thought the chargers WAY overreacted to his growing pains during his 2nd and 3rd seasons. they guy's a winner and i am happy he's doing well in new orleans. plus, he is throwing to a kid who used to be in my gym class!
  17. yes, they are better alright. better at letting other teams run the clock out on them with the game on the line. they might be the best team in the history of the nfl at this. practice makes prefect...i'd say they just about have it down to a science.
  18. i'm not a fan either, but it's still 100x better than the goathead. i'd prefer a throwback too. fwiw, i love the little numbers on the front of the jersey.
  19. what is MCX?
  20. the movie sucked because it was SCRIPTED. the thing that makes the ali g show so great is the "candid camera" aspect of all these dimwits not realizing the joke's on them. i have seen all 12 episodes and i think it is some of the funniest sh-- i have ever seen. haven't seen the borat movie, but i remember last year that the rodeo stunt he pulled in richmond was in the papers....it said that they were ready to lynch him!
  21. i have never been to "the U," but i've been to miami, and the entire city of miami is not a dangerous place. isn't it in coral gables anyway? maybe the guy put himself in a dangerous place?
  22. i'd rather have an ugly win than a "good" loss, but i also can't be optimistic about the future if the team doesn't play well....which they haven't for a long time. the same effort that beat green bay last sunday will get them BLOWN OUT this week!
  23. haha... i know....my dad sent me a copy of the R-A with his photo on the whole front page. i am trying to explain to people out here what a big deal it is in Port A. fortunately, life is "small" enough out here that a lot of them do!
  24. lori, who's that dude in your avatar?
