please marv, spare us the drama. this like the 3rd time ricky has "finally got it together." he'll probably have about 5/8 of a good season for whoever picks him up... and then he'll get hurt, or flunk a drug test, or go awol and show up in malaysia, or some sh.it like that. this team is going to have enough problems gelling, and is going to NEED to become more than the sum of it's parts just to be competitive. the last thing we need is a rent-a-player like williams who has only done 1 stupid thing after another his whole career. and he's old enough now that he's probably lost a step anyway. if marv read this thread, he'd have a good belly-laugh at the thought that he should pursue a guy like ricky williams. personally, i find him to be an interesting and likable character, but i don't want him anywhere near my team.

imo they really blew a great opportunity to make tv history. i think they should have stood up and duked it out right there to see who was right. geraldo knows how to box, but o'reily's got the reach advantage. would have been interesting...right up there with jim rome get b!tch-slapped by chris evert.

the next thing i was gonna say, is that i have hard time believing he really lost 19 lbs in 3 months unless he has hiv or something...i don't know...something is weird there. i tend not believe he's truly lost that much weight, and i just can't believe he's let himself get weaker. it makes no sense for a d-lineman in the prime of his career. it's just too stupid.

i seriously doubt he's let himself lose a speck of strength. plus, the comparisons to flowers aren't really valid, because while he's no hall of famer, schoebel's also not a !@#$ing kitty. that's gotta count for something.
