Why would you not count the two AFL championships? Until Belichick and Brady arrived the Patriots never won anything. The Red Sox went 86 years without a championship. Almost half of those 35 championships were the Celtics, a dynasty that hasn't existed for years. Boston has four major sports franchises, Buffalo has two. Red Sox founded 1903, Bruins in the 1924, Celtics 1946. Not a very good comparison.

Ever notice how no matter who the coordinators are the Patriots remain the same. That's because it's Belichick's team. I'd like to see the Bills hire a HC not a guy that is married to one side of the game. Chan failed because by his own admission he did not pay attention to the defense. Rex failed because he was so committed to his defense he was going to run it no matter what.

I agree with your assessment. The most telling moment of the problem with BN is when Tim Graham (I think), asked what what exactly Whaley's job was, incredibly obnoxious. Graham then tried to back away from the statement. This whole thing is like whe someone is trying to get gossip from someone that won't give it. So they then make up gossip about that person.

Marv had been a special teams coach, but not for KC he was the head coach at KC and was fired. Then went to Montreal and USFL. Was unemployed for two years before becoming Bills HC.

Funny I did exactly the same thing. My point is we don't work at OBD, they could very well have a policy that they don't discuss firing the HC during the season. The only ones that could break that policy are Kim and Terry.

How could you or anyone that was not present know that Whaley and Pegula talked about Rex's job security? Whaley stated more than once that they discuss that after the season. Was he lying? I try to make it a policy to not call someone a liar unless I sure they are. They may have discussed poor execution, poor discipline, poor clock management and on and on, without specially discussing firing Rex.

With all due respect you have that wrong. I just listened to the full PC. What Whaley said was that he, Rex and Terry were on their post game conference call, Rex asked to speak to Terry alone. After that meeting between Rex and Terry, Whaley was informed that Rex was no longer the coach. We can speculate as to what transpired, but it seems pretty obvious. Terry Pegula saw what we saw on the field, the difference is it's his team and his money. Whaley didn't need to ask why, he knew as well as we all did.
