Anyone concerned about the wr talent?
chris heff replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McDermott has been calling the shots since his hire. WR was not a weakness he created it by letting two guys walk and trading another. DT was not a weakness now it is, I know, I know, Dareus is lazy, but when he felt like playing he was great. As six games enough to determine that Dareus could not be coached or motivated? Most of the draft picks acquired now have to be used to fill holes where there wasn't any. How about LB? Was no games enough time to evaluate Ragland? So here are this teams needs, QB, OL, WR, RB, DT, LB. -
I called EJ being the Bills first round pick and defended him until it became impossible.

A measured take on McDermott

McDermott is Chip Kelly without any HC experience. -
Ronald Darby - Not Good Enough for this Scheme...
chris heff replied to bouds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The point of the trade was to show how smart they are and to bring in a WR so they could trade Watkins too show how smart they are. -
Ronald Darby - Not Good Enough for this Scheme...
chris heff replied to bouds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Traded away young talented players to prove they are smarter. Two guys that have never been anything other than someone's assistant. Arrogant and stupid. -
McDermott is Chip Kelly he and Beane will be gone in a year.

The NFL needs Peterman to be good

I think we can rule that out. May be the worst start for a rookie QB ever. -

ESPN: Tom Brady’s Most Dangerous Game
chris heff replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His most dangerous game is his next one, there are no other QBs on the roster. All it takes is one hit, one misstep, one guy rolling up. I guy can wish can't he? -

2018 draft would you be upset if
chris heff replied to Dboodrow's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The two draft philosophies are need or best player available, both are valid. If an exceptional talent is available at a position not necessarily a need I think you have to take him, however all things being relatively equal you draft for need. The biggest mistakes are trading up either because of panic or falling in love with a player. Panic brought us J P Losman. -

Oh that is just so funny. Apparently you have never seen a group of people holding and flapping a giant American flag, as is if flowing in the wind whilst parallel to the earth. In order for it to be "oblique" on side of "flappers" would need to be taller than the other side. I believe you missed the point, which had to do with hypocrisy.

Pay particular attention to section C,D and I. At virtually every major sporting event the flag is flown horizontally. Ever seen a guy in an American Flag shirt or how about a flag on a beer can? According to the code all are disrespectful. §176. Respect for flag No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor. (a) The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property. (b) The flag should never touch anything beneath it, such as the ground, the floor, water, or merchandise. © The flag should never be carried flat or horizontally, but always aloft and free. (d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general. (e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way. (f) The flag should never be used as a covering for a ceiling. (g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature. (h) The flag should never be used as a receptacle for receiving, holding, carrying, or delivering anything. (i) The flag should never be used for advertising purposes in any manner whatsoever. It should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs and the like, printed or otherwise impressed on paper napkins or boxes or anything that is designed for temporary use and discard. Advertising signs should not be fastened to a staff or halyard from which the flag is flown. (j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart. (k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
