  1. And now that Whaley is gone BN turns their vitriol to the Pegulas. http://buffalonews.com/2017/04/30/bucky-gleason-buying-bills-future-tough-considering-bungled-past/
  2. You are right, my mistake. I do think he was fired at the same time as Ryan, what other explanation is there for the last four months?
  3. So my theory is that the contract extension was a payoff. They fired Whaley in January, paid him to stay and be a good soldier until after draft. Only explanation for the last few months.
  4. Pegula gives rookie HC all the power, this is the same guy that hired Rex Ryan and has done such a great job with the Sabres. This should work just fine.
  5. So you think giving a rookie head coach the power that Belichick and Carrol have a good idea? McDermott is not Bill Parcells.
  6. That guy is a smug jerk that never put a helmet on.
  7. Just posted this in another thread. Once you are past the third round the likelihood of finding a guy that can come in and compete for a starting role are pretty remote. Do you really think that guys picked in late rounds are significantly better than undrafted free agents? Most of these guys come in and compete for a roster spot and at best become special teamers. The Bills may very well have picked up three starters, using those late picks to achieve that is smart. I think they have done a good job of working this draft. They may very well have filled three holes. What more do you want?

  9. If they make a first time head coach the coach/GM they are out of their minds.
  10. Wasn't a great moment for Bills but I was at the AFL championship game they lost to KC for the opportunity to go to first SB. Monday night vs Raiders 1974. Game when Bills beat Dolphins for first time on ten years.
  11. Aaron Hernandez choose a thug's life. Although his father died when he was sixteen, he grew up in a fairly middle class home. Bristol Connecticut is not exactly a hell hole. He became infatuated with thuggery. He shot and killed unarmed people. His suicde is a final act of cowardice. The discussion here is an interesting one from the existential, to the theological, with a hint of conspiracy.
  12. The jury is still out on some guy's on that list, but success rate is between 40% to 50%. Probably higher than all other rounds combined. Not sure if that means anything.
  13. I probably wouldn't hate your notes, I have found your observations to be fairly astute. Marrone not so much.
  14. Marrone finds odd ways to state things. Instead of just saying the usual coach cliche like "work on fundamentals", he comes up with rebuild foundation. Just weird, it's like he's trying to sound smart.
  15. If the Bills don't pick up his option, that would indicate that Whaley is done.
  16. I lived in NYC in 1970s and 80s, used to root for the Giants until SB XXV. Haven't been able to ever since.
  17. Yes I think it fair to criticize them for the hire, but at least they didn't let ego get in the way of correcting the mistake.
