  1. What I find disturbing is the continued denial that racism no longer exists. How many times have you heard someone say "I'm not a racist, but....". We all know people that are racist, most are closet racists, political correctness has made racism less in your face. I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine about racism, one of his comments was that "black people should just get over it". He doesn't view himself as racist. The fact that we all know racists why is it so hard to believe that Tyrod Taylor would have the perception that part of the criterion by which he is judged is his skin color?
  2. I'll ask again, give one example of an NFL team planning and executing a tank. The two examples that have been given in other tank threads are the Colts, but they didn't plan Payton's injury, without which the tank never happens and how has it worked out? The other example is the Cowboys Herschel Walker trade. Cowboys were 0-5 when trade happened, Aikman and Irvin were already on the team and they had already used their first round pick in supplemental draft on Steve Walsh.
  3. Here are things I don't understand, is Groy only the backup center? Is he incapable of playing guard? Cut Powell, then brought back Brown and cut him, are they worse than who played today? Are the two WR on the practice squad worse? If so why are they not replaced? Why the rotation from week to week with Tate? He's obviously better, this is not pre-season.
  4. I'm confused is the rain good or bad for us?
  5. Can't Groy play guard? He was good last year at center after Wood got hurt.
  6. So essentially what you're saying is you've seen enough of fat, slow and old RB that drops passes and fumbles? You may be on to something.
  7. I worked with him and knew him for years, he was quite affable, but clueless. I've always done my best to treat women with respect. In business I've had a good deal of success, I treat female colleagues the same as male colleagues. As to your reference to women cheating on a feminist male because they want a real man is laughable. I've been married for a long time to this day when my wife walks into a room conversations stop. I've always shown her the utmost respect, she is my equal. Your theory on what women want is archaic macho nonsense.
  8. I'm guessing your now to old for the military, but I'm pretty sure they view the difference between "sir and doll" as significant. If you somehow have the misfortune to find yourself having to address a female judge test your theory and call her doll,
  9. When I was in my early twenties I tended bar in NYC, I worked with a big Irish American guy named Bill, who was ten years my senior. A group of people came in after work. Bill walks over to a woman in that group and says "what will it be doll?". She says "excuse me but I'm a Federal Court Judge, I've worked hard to get here, please don't address me as doll". Without missing a beat Bill says "whatever you say hon". I just looked at her and said, "he's never going to get it".
  10. I thought the same thing, but this perspective from Buffalo Rumblings is interesting. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/10/4/16406836/will-marcell-dareus-remain-with-buffalo-bills-sean-mcdermott-brandon-beane-trust-the-process
  11. I don't know Stephon Gilmore. I have no reason to wish him ill will, other than the fact that he plays for the Patriots. I've often thought that at some point the moves Belichick makes would catch up with him. I think he believes it is he and he alone responsible for that teams success. I hope they continue to lose. I hope moves like signing Gilmore put them in cap hell. I hope Brady gets sick of losing and retires.
  12. Henderson has to be better than Mills right?
  13. I don't understand Tolbert or DiMarco. Last week Tolbert drops a sure TD, this week he fumbles. He looks old, fat and slow. How did you like the handoff to DiMarco? Prior to it he had one carry in six years.
  14. The bigger question is why wasn't that an easy TD? I've seen nothing from either Tolbert or DiMarco.
  15. Tolbert is not anything and neither is DiMarco. When Tolbert comes in I expect nothing but an opportunity to rest McCoy. DiMarco does nothing every time he comes in to block it's a run for no gain. He has me longing for Felton.
