I’m going to use James Lofton as an example, he may not be the greatest color guy, but he did one of the Bills games this year and his analysis of why a play didn’t work was great. He explained how Sanders cutting off a route too short effected Beasley, which resulted in an incompletion. He then explained how Sanders should have run the route, really good. John Madden was the greatest color guy and it’s not even close, he was a former player and coach.

John Madden became head coach of the Raiders because head coach and AFL coach of the year, John Rauch, resigned to become head coach of the Bills. Madden of course went on to HOF career, Rauch was fired after going 3-10-1 and floating the idea to convert O.J. Simpson to WR.

I remember when both of these guys were being discussed here as possible first overall picks in the draft. Barkley stayed at USC a year to long and fell to the fourth round, while Darnold went third overall, four picks ahead of some guy from Wyoming.

I don’t agree with your assessment “nowhere near as good” is overstated. The difference between last year and this year is a hand full of plays. I’ve written this before. Last year Bills don’t have a punt blocked, they beat Steelers. Last year Dawkins doesn’t miss his block, Josh doesn’t slip, Bills beat Titans. Last year Bills pull out a win against bad Jaguars team. Last year Josh doesn’t step on the sideline, he scores that TD to beat the Bucs. Last year’s defense made me just as nervous as this years. They are only great when Bills have the lead. OL problems this year is the same as last year, there is no depth, they need everything to go right.

Chiefs will lose two, Titans will lose two, the Bills will win out and be the number one seed. Then the post season and the Super Bowl will be canceled.
