I think your off the hook with that.

You seem to be missing the point, it is about money and winning. The NFL is a business. It entertains us. We pay for it. Whether Jackson is a running back or a quarterback is not the point. Winning is what pays. If an NFL owner thinks Jackson can win they will pay him. Haslam paid a quarter of a billion to a sexual devient. Wilson thinks he’s a celebrity that really doesn’t need football and yet he got paid. When you own a franchise I’m sure you will make better decisions than the 32 billionaires that own NFL franchises. But the fact remains you are not one of those 32 and one of them will pay Lamar Jackson hundreds of millions whether he has an agent or not.

So what do you think? That Jackson will be out of the league next year? Or is it more likely that some billionaire owner will give him a huge fully guaranteed contract? Yeah he’s the dolt.

I find no solace, nor do I revel in anyone’s trials and tribulations, except of course Brady and Belichick.

I hope Murray has a speedy recovery, don’t wish injury on anyone (I have yelled “rip his head off!” occasionally, but that was directed at Brady). What happens to that franchise? Murray will be out most on next year and has a big long term contract. Kingsbury is signed through 2027. Do they eat his contract? What a mess.

On a related subject, is there any chance Crowder makes it back this year? Never really got to see what he can do.

My father had season tickets, I went to a lot of games there. As the Bills got worse in the late 1960s my father would give me late season game tickets. There was nowhere to hide from the cold in that place. Saw the Chiefs beat the Bills to go to first AFL NFL Championship (Super Bowl I). One of my favorite memories has nothing to do with a game. There was no parking around the stadium, my father paid two kids to park in “their” driveway. After the game we were greeted by a very angry woman, who had been at church when kids sold her driveway. Watching my father apologize profusely was great.

I went back and watched last two minutes of Bills game, Patriots kick a field goal and then with three timeouts let the Bills run out the clock. Belichick’s reasoning was he didn’t want to risk injury to Mac Jones. At very least a strange decision. Having a mediocre second year QB with no offensive coordinator is idiotic. I think Belichick is done.

For about half of this thread I kept thinking, “who did Jerry Rice punch?”. But this is about some other Rice.
