  1. Washington didn’t few Cousins as franchise QB.
  2. At one point Al Michaels said it was blowing about 8mph. They cut to the flags that looked liked they’d been starched. Oh and thanks Shaw great writing.
  3. Yea they were so good the announcers had to explain why they kept missing delay of game calls. And how about the missed face mask on a punt?
  4. Bills no, Jills yes, it was awhile ago.
  5. A HOF running back would be great, but if we’re looking back at that SB team of 1990s and comparing it to this team, who’s missing is a Bruce Smith. Smith was that rare talent that could take over a game.
  6. Wow you must be psychotic!
  7. That’s only two.
  8. That’s because Yeldon is so elusive.
  9. Bill O’Brien was fired on October 5th, Stills was cut November 27th.
  10. Legitimately asking, why did he get cut and why has he been sitting around for a month?
  11. Great write up, thanks. I know it would have been classless, but I wish they’d hung 50+ on them. Just this one time, no need to do it again, but just once would have been nice. Who called the fake punt? When they see Patriots in that formation did the call come from sideline? Or is that call made on the field?
  12. I recorded the game last night. I have Game Pass, so could watch full or condensed version. And yet I’m watching it on NFL Network anyway.
  13. I maybe wrong, but it seems like Harrison Phillips has been better since being inactive for a few games. I don’t think his knee was right at beginning of season. Run defense has been much better second half of the season. Defense is pretty healthy if they stay that way I’m not worried.
  14. Correct me if I’m wrong (like I need to write that), but I think Josh’s injury was only part of it. OL was being juggled, injuries on defense. They still only had two losses to two very good teams. This team has fought through adversity. The loss to Arizona was indicative, if not for incredible Hail Mary, a play where Bills did everything right, they win it with great drive under two minutes. No quit, no panic, I feel very good about where this team is.
  15. Doesn’t really explain how this would come about. Trade? Free agency? New rule that allows Pats to select players off other teams roster?
  16. I believe that the odds of forcing a fumble are the same no matter what the clock says. Teams practice punching the ball out, in fact they practice that more than in the past. By your standard any big play that is a result of practice should be attributed to luck, you’re right I don’t see it that way.
  17. And haven’t you heard? This game is just an audition, Josh Allen will be a Patriot next year. https://patriotswire.usatoday.com/2020/12/24/gimmie-him-josh-allen-would-set-up-patriots-for-future/
  18. Stripping the football is not luck, it is a good defensive play.
  19. If I recall correctly it didn’t help. How exactly did that meeting go? “Ferguson throws to many interceptions, we need to do something! I got it let’s change the helmet color to red. Is that the cheapest solution? Yes Mr. Wilson it is. Then do it.”
  20. I guess what I don’t understand is why the NFL just doesn’t do this themselves?
  21. I’ve written this before, but it is worth noting again, Belichick is going to stay forever. Another year or two of losing, which is more likely than them finding above average QB, and I think he calls it a career. He is a micro manager, he is GM, head coach, defensive coordinator and offensive coordinator. When he leaves that franchise will crash and burn. Kraft striking gold a second time is unlikely. When Belichick is gone there will be nothing left but sycophants, Kraft and his son.
  22. So far my favorite play of the season may be Newton strip. I don’t want this game to come down to that. I’d like to crush them. I won’t be happy until Belichick retires I think that will relegate the Patriots to history.
