  1. You do realize that people from Long Island pay taxes in New York State and the UB is a State college. And I hope that everyone else will recognize that “ Lon G’ Islanders” is an anti Semitic slur.
  2. Exactly, I just have a hard time seeing them dump a couple of billion into Orchard Park. Like I said Rich Stadium ended up in Orchard Park by default. Did find an interesting article about the future of stadiums, smaller and more luxurious could be the trend.
  3. Granted I just Googled “do downtown stadiums help city economy” not one article or study came up that specifically states that. Plenty that said stadiums no matter where they are don’t really help the economy. One article about new arena in Sacramento has helped downtown, but an arena is different that a stadium.
  4. I haven’t lived in Buffalo for fifty years. I remember when I was was a kid downtown was vibrant. There were restaurants, retail stores, department stores and theaters. Went there a lot, my father’s office was in the Marine Midland Building. It died a slow death starting in the 1960s. In my last few visits we stayed at the Marriott Canal Side. I was shocked (pleasantly so) to see people enjoying the Buffalo River, kids swimming in it. I believe it was cleaned up with public funding. I drove down Fruman (sorry if I got that wrong) on the outer harbor, agin surprised, people enjoying themselves. The middle harbor (don’t know if that’s what it’s called) and the inner harbor need a lot more work, but it could be great. Are any of those factories or grain elevators functioning? If not get rid of them, find some other use. I haven’t been to Orchard Park in years, haven’t been to the stadium in years. I know people are emotionally invested in that location, however it became the location by default. The money, the infrastructure, the emotional attachment is a lot to overcome. If something isn’t growing it’s dying. I fear that if the State, the Pegulas and the community take the path of least resistance it will just maintain the status quo. There are two things people hate, change and the way things are. Success comes from being bold not safe. I’d love to see downtown Buffalo vibrant again for those that love that city, whether that be a resident or a visitor.
  5. Didn’t the wheels come off after that?
  6. It is not in the Bills, the county or Pegula’s best interest for you to tailgate.
  7. Never really was a Kiko fan, you know I left out the one about McCoy throwing a woman off a moving “party bus”, an Eagles fan friend reminded me of that incident, but you keep telling yourself what a great guy McCoy was. Oh and OJ didn’t do it.
  8. Yeah McCoy is a swell guy. Who among us hasn’t abused restaurant employees and left a $.20 tip? Going to a strip club with some thugs who get into a fight with off duty cops shows pretty good judgment. Then there was the ex-girlfriend that he couldn’t get rid of who coincidentally gets roughed up and robbed. I think he should go up on the wall.
  9. “South Florida’s favorite player”!
  10. He said “Martini”, onion would be a Gibson.
  11. He should be Mic’d up all the time.
  12. I think I’m pro cupping, I’m intrigued by “wet cupping”, sounds like something I’d enjoy.
  13. Did you read the whole article? Addresses that in second to last paragraph. ”Allen, though, hasn’t made entirely right decisions so far. After losing to Pittsburgh in Week 1, he suggested he was struggling with his footwork, and despite rebounding to thrash Miami in Week 2, Allen still committed what Pro Football Focus calls turnover-worthy plays — involving poor ball security or passes that have a strong chance of being intercepted — on a career-high 10.8 percent of his snaps.”
  14. Buddy Ryan ruined Cunningham’s career.
  15. Out of curiosity I googled sports bars East Hampton, as I suspected nothing out there. A couple of places I know in South Hampton, Fellingham’s Restaurant and Sports Bar, the place is tiny have no idea how many TVs and Southampton Public House, again have no idea how many TVs. I’d call them and ask if they will have Bills game on. There is a Buffalo Wild Wings in Riverhead, they would definitely have the game on. If you look at the schedule Giants play at 1:00, definitely will be on on both places in Southampton, Jets play at 4:00. If these places can show at least two games most likely second game at 1:00 would seem to be Bills vs WFT.
  16. I used to live out there, I had to drive to like Huntington to even find a sports bar, but that was a long time ago. I think the best you can hope for is a sports bar. I doubt there is one East Hampton. Maybe Hampton Bays or Riverhead.
  17. Well it is better than Genny Cream Ale.
  18. I keep coming back to this, it is genius. I copied it and texted it to my family, because it’s all about family. I’d like to make one suggestion, I think you need to change the beer. Does anyone in Buffalo drink Budweiser? You could change it to the obvious, Labatt Blue, but I’m not sure it was that popular in the early 1990s, could be an anachronism. You could go with Genny Cream Ale, or something no one drank, but brewed by Utica Club the ever obscure Matt Malt Liquor.
  19. Is it okay if I go to the Palm Beach airport? It’s actually kind of serene, sometimes there is a pianist.
  20. He was impressive against the Giants. I do know that he has started two NFL games, he’s a 28 year old journeyman backing up a 38 year old journeyman.
  21. What good would that do them? The only reason Watson is not on the Commissioner’s exempt list is because the Texans handled it. The minute somebody, anybody tries to activate Watson he’s going on that list.
