Correct me if I’m wrong (like I need to write that), but I think Josh’s injury was only part of it. OL was being juggled, injuries on defense. They still only had two losses to two very good teams. This team has fought through adversity. The loss to Arizona was indicative, if not for incredible Hail Mary, a play where Bills did everything right, they win it with great drive under two minutes. No quit, no panic, I feel very good about where this team is.

Doesn’t really explain how this would come about. Trade? Free agency? New rule that allows Pats to select players off other teams roster?

I believe that the odds of forcing a fumble are the same no matter what the clock says. Teams practice punching the ball out, in fact they practice that more than in the past. By your standard any big play that is a result of practice should be attributed to luck, you’re right I don’t see it that way.

I’ve written this before, but it is worth noting again, Belichick is going to stay forever. Another year or two of losing, which is more likely than them finding above average QB, and I think he calls it a career. He is a micro manager, he is GM, head coach, defensive coordinator and offensive coordinator. When he leaves that franchise will crash and burn. Kraft striking gold a second time is unlikely. When Belichick is gone there will be nothing left but sycophants, Kraft and his son.

So far my favorite play of the season may be Newton strip. I don’t want this game to come down to that. I’d like to crush them. I won’t be happy until Belichick retires I think that will relegate the Patriots to history.

Before we get carried away they did it for the money. That being said I expected this to be a disaster, it flirted with that at times. I am thankful for the distraction.

It gives him leverage. He doesn’t have to stay at Clemson for another year he just has to threaten he will. If it’s the Jets or Jags doesn’t matter, he could use it to force a trade.

Rams - Roman Gabriel to John Hadl is a stretch, I think James Harris came after Hadl. Washington - Jurgensen to Kilmer was odd they kind of went back and forth for awhile. Most didn’t think Theismann could play in the NFL, didn’t he go to CFL first? But okay KC - Smith to Mahomes is a maybe, KC traded up with you know who for Mahomes. They didn’t see a future worth Smith and that was pre-injury. So that’s a definite maybe. My point exactly. To paraphrase, it’s hard to find a QB in the NFL.
