  1. I agree, the maneuvering was brilliant. If you are taking a QB high in the draft the best place to take him is first round out of the top ten. Based on the rookie compensation structure once your out of the top ten you are not over paying and you get an option for a fifth year if the guy turns out to be great.
  2. To all of you that think we should pass on a QB or wait until late rounds, we have the worst QB situation of any team in the league because of that kind of thinking.
  3. Let me clear this up once and for all. Wannstedt was awful that defense was from 1989. But Gailey hired Wannstedt and Nix hired Gailey. So who hired Nix? Oh that's right. I am an eternal optimist especially when it comes to the Bills. I hope that Ralph turning control over to Russ will make a difference. I can't remember what year it was, it was when Mularkey was the HC, the Bills blew a big lead against Miami. Walking out of the game I told my nephew that nothing will change until ownership changes. Sadly in my more lucid moments I still believe this.
  4. I'd be good with anyone of these guys, in order. Nassib Manuel Barkley I use to have Manuel first, but I was so impressed with Nassib on Gruden's QB Camp, I moved him to fist. Nassib is the biggest risk for Marrone. If Nassib fails Marrone should have known better. I'm intrigued by Manuel. Isn't the guy with the greatest upside what you want? If Barkley had come out a year ago most people would have been screaming for him.
  5. Thank you for writing all that so I didn't have too. Not drafting QBs is what got us in this mess.
  6. I'm curious as to why? Every time Manuel's name is mentioned, the next sentence is, "He has the most upside". Isn't that what you want?
  7. When I read this I thought it could not possible be right, which it is not. There are 3 DEs on the roster. However one of them I have never heard of.
  8. Thanks I'll be here all week!
  9. I agree, when ever Manuel's name is mentioned it is said he has the most upside. Isn't that what coaches are for? Take a good player and make him great?
  10. There was once a player, number 43, who could neither defend the run nor the pass. His position was "the Mike". He played in a formation designed twenty years prior. A formation that made vanilla more vanilla. The dashing player on the opposing team recognized that this "Mike" could be had, as he had had many "Mikes" before.
  11. Two hundred years from now the question gets asked "Where did the saying, " Nixing at the wheel" come from?" Well son back then people had vehicles that they had to personally control using a wheel to steer and there was a now long defunct sports team that had a GM who at times was asleep at the controls of said team, his name was Nix. Hence the saying "Nixing at the Wheel".
  12. You forgot "Doomed"! No Arizona
  13. . Grades out extremely well in every aspect of run blocking. Pulling/Trapping - Outstanding blocking ability on the move. Would grade highly as an OG prospect as well. Agility is very good and power is excellent. Puts a lot of defenders on the ground. Stays low and uses excellent technique. Initial Quickness - Is usually very good in this area. From CBS Sports analysis pre 2012 draft, so maybe.
  14. I read an interesting article that I can't find, I think it was the CBS Sports site. It was about drafting QBs in the first round. Because of the new rookie contract structure. Only first rounders get a four year contract but the team has an option to exercise a fifth year. So if the QB drafted turns out to be a stud you get to keep him for a fifth year on the cheap. It also said that this value is attractive but not with the first ten picks. So if the Bills are determined to draft a QB in the first, they should trade down. But of course it takes two to tango.
  15. 78% of all statistics are made up
  16. Golden Richards
  17. Good for hm. What do you want a guy that doesn't believe he can win? " You play the game to win!"
  18. Punting from the 34 yard line indoors is all you really need to know about Chan Gaiey's coaching style.
  19. I agree with you. By trading back to say 15 what other pick could the Bills gain?
  20. Kevin Kolb: 59.6% 8 TDs 3INTs Tavaris Jackson: 0% 0 TDs 0 INTs Aaron Corp: 0% 0 TDs 0 INTs Fitzpatrick is no longer with the Bills I wrote nothing about the 8th pick. I was pointing out the foolishness of waiting till next year.
