  1. And that guy was traded away by Atlanta, how'd that work out for Atlanta? Drew Brees was let walk. Alex Smith, bust? I could go back to Pittsburg releasing Unitas. Someone, not just a fan decided that those guys weren't going to make it. Unitas, maybe the best ever in the HOF, Brees and Favre both go in HOF. As for Smith would you take him?
  2. Clemson, NC State, Boston College, Miami, VA Tech, Maryland, Florida, GA Tech and maybe Duke. All of these are big time programs. All college teams play some door mats. Go look at who Central Florida played last year or Louisville and you'll see the same thing. What's your point?
  3. That's ok Coach, I've been disappointed before. I don't know anything about the Philly Graham but I'd trade take that trade. I just don't think Philly would.
  4. Manuel was in a program that was in rebuilding mode. OL, RB and receivers not as good.
  5. "Manuel led the Seminoles to a 12-win season for just the third time in program history, and the first time since their dominant stretch in the 1990s. During his senior season, he threw for the second most yards in team history with 3,392, trailing only Chris Weinke's Heisman Trophy winning season, in which Weinke threw for 4,167 yards. Manuel went 25-6 as a starter, won the first BCS bowl for Florida State since 2000, won five out of six games against intrastate rivals Miami and Florida, and he also led the offense to its most prolific season in team history, cleanly surpassing the 1999 National Championship squad with 6,591 yards." As I've said before I live in Florida and have friends that are FSU alumni and football fans. The most astute of these made the observation that Manuel played for a team in transition from Bowden to Fisher. Had less talent around him than Winston, particularly the OL. I don't know if EJ will be good in the NFL or not and neither does anyone else, but I don't know how anyone can state that he had a bad college career.
  6. I'd love Jordan Mathews in the second. I think he could be the best receiver in the draft. All time SEC receiver playing at Vanderbilt with no one throwing the ball.
  7. I live in Florida, I know a lot of FSU fans, my nephew is a student at FSU and I can state with all certainty that you are wrong. I had a conversation with a FSU alumnus and avid FSU fan who told me he had become a Bills fan because of EJ. Your statement is a generalization. Please Google Phil Simms.
  8. Both Ryan and Philbin are working for GMs that did not hire them. Jets bring in Vick, not exactly a ringing endorsement of Smith and Tannehill was drafted because he was so highly touted by Mike Sherman who is gone.
  9. When I read the title of this thread my first thought was that the AFC is the second best conference in the NFL.
  10. Maybe I should come too, last Monday Night game I attended at The Ralph was September 1974, I think it was the home openner. Beat the Raiders 21-20, exciting game. Blanda missed a FG to end it. Legend had it that Blanda missed a 47 yarder with 47 seconds, on his 47th birthday
  11. Kind of ironic that people would bring up SJ's maturity and think tha Mike Williams is his replacement. After reading Williams press conference transcript, I'll be surprised if he makes it through the season. Took no responsibility for his problems at Syracuse, doing the same thing now. Somebody made up stories about him, somebody else did it, he was taken advantage of, blah blah blah.
  12. Remember the halfback pass Henry threw for a pick six in Miami. I ran into Ralph Wilson right after that play, he was so mad his face was bright red.
  13. That's the Wood I'm talking about. Flea flicker center eligable. Must not have been that funny since I had to explain it.
  14. Let me draw it up for you, EJ hands off to Fred, Woods fakes missing a block goes to back of the end zone,. Fred pitches ball back to EJ. Fred picks up missed block. EJ throws to Woods, touchdown.
  15. I'm not saying I like Clinton-Dix, but I think they could go DB at nine.
  16. Actually I'm not, just the opposite as a matter of fact. I hope Mike Williams plays great for the Bills, but this whole think is a little head scratching. His history with Marrone, bringing a guy that has a history of partying back to where he grew up. I don't know, but just seems odd.
  17. Or being back in Buffalo will reunite him with bad influences.
  18. I'm starting to think that the pick is going to be a satey or corner.
  19. The future of tailgating is that it's days are numbered. There is no revenue in tailgating. The reason all these new stadiums are being built as though they are some kind of resort or amusement park, is that they want you in the building spending money, not out in the parking lot. This appears to be some kind of altered shipping container, although clever I don't think it would be aloud. At least not in the NFL.
  20. After enduring the last 15 season maybe that's a better name for the team.
  21. Wow, based on a bad pro day he drops that far? Before the 2013 collage football season began the top three QBs where Bidgewater, Boyd and Manziel. I was talking about down the road. If you draft a tackle at 9 and plan on eventually moving him to LT, then to keep Glenn past two years you have to pay him. Then two years after that you have to pay the new guy. If not your looking for a tackle again.
  22. I've said the same thing in other threads. You either make someone unhappy or you pay a RT LT money. So Bridgewater has fallen out of top ten?
