  1. Did he really do that? That's funny.
  2. If 3 OTs and 2 QBs go in the first 8 I believe Mack falls to nine.
  3. Two years is what is left on Glenn's contract. So if you move him he is gone in two years. If you draft Mathews and keep him at RT, he is gone in four years, maybe five.
  4. From the players stand point it's not about any of that, it's about money.
  5. So painfully accurate. May can't get here soon enough.
  6. I agree, the Bills are all in with EJ, so why not bring in a player/coach as backup?
  7. I knew that I had read that there was a reason that had nothing to do with football.
  8. I pickup little mistakes in articles all the time but this one is unbelievable. It's not like its hard to do reaserch in this day and age.
  9. "Understanding Kiko", a play in three acts coming to the Helen Hayes Theater this fall!
  10. I'd like to thank both you and Buftex, your posts have gone a long way in my quest to convince my wife I'm not crazy.
  11. I'm baffled by this QB class. Before the 2013 college season the top three were Bridgewater, Boyd, and Manziel. Boyd is is now at best a mid rounder. Bridgewater was sure fire now in some mocks he's falling. I don't know if Manziel's game translates to the NFL, but I believe based on his ego the worst places for him would be Cleveland or Buffalo. Was Blake Bortles on anyone's radar ten months ago? When I read his scouting reports I feel like I could just substitute Manuel's name. Derek Carr? Every time Jake Mathews is mentioned so is his genealogy, what about Carr's? The rest of the guys, I'd take one in the fourth.
  12. I read somewhere(can't remember where) that if there is a QB you want and your going to take him early the best place to take him is mid first. You won't over pay and you get fifth year option.
  13. So no one is paying attention to K-9 because he disagrees with you? Heisman Trophy winning QB equals success, got it.
  14. I don't understand why people think it is easier to find an elite QB, who can carry a team, than building a great team around a good QB? This is not about Manuel, just in general. How many QBs playing now are elite, four maybe five? The oldest being Payton Manning, drafted in 1998, so the last 15 years has produced a hand full of elite QBs.. It is the same for every era.
  15. Next two paragraphs. "Simms' next four years were marred by injuries and inconsistent play. He finished the 1980 season with 15 touchdowns and 19 interceptions, while completing a subpar 48.0% of his passes for 2,321 yards.[12] In 1981, Simms threw for 2,031 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions on 54.4% completion percentage[12] before suffering a separated shoulder in a November 15 loss to the Washington Redskins.[13] With Simms out, the Giants went on a run led by Scott Brunner and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. Simms suffered a torn knee ligament in a preseason game against the New York Jets, preventing him from playing the entire 1982 season.[14] Following the season, Ray Perkins resigned as head coach to take over the same position at the University of Alabama, and was replaced by the team's defensive coordinator Bill Parcells. In the coming years this change would prove crucial to the Giants and Simms. One of Parcells first decisions as coach was to replace Simms as the starting quarterback with Brunner.[15] Simms asked to be traded after the benching, but his request was ignored.[16] During the sixth game of the Giants' 1983 Season, Simms came in to replace the struggling Brunner against the Philadelphia Eagles. On his second drive, Simms suffered a season-ending injury when the thumb on his throwing hand hit a player's helmet on his follow-through. The injury was reported as a dislocation, but according to the book, Simms to McConkey, written by Phil McConkey, Simms, and Dick Schaap, the injury was much more severe, with the thumb literally hanging off after impact, and the bone sticking out through the skin.[17]"
  16. EJ was at his best when he was just playing and not thinking. His best drives were two minute drills. He stopped aiming the ball and just threw it. This tendency started in the first preseason game. It seemed to me that he had been coached to protect the ball so much that it made him tentative. The offense was also painfully predictable.
  17. I've heard exactly the same thing from other FSU alumni and have posted it. I noticed you qualified "much better QB". Charlie Ward was a great college QB. Had a good career in the NBA. People also are under the impression that the FSU offense is simple. I believe that they run a relatively small number of plays out of multiple formations. Makes it difficult for QB if everyone isn't on the same page. Ramius I would like your opinion, thanks.
  18. You know that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying part of one season is not enough time. There is a history in the NFL of teams giving up on guys. As I was writting "Unitas" I was wondering who Pittsburg's QB was, Marchibroda, good one.
