    Ah, now I get it, Donahoe hired him on Pittsburgh in 1997. Donahoe left in 1999. Aside from Donahoe's questionable personel moves, his two coaching hires were awful.

    Finding a good QB through FA or a trade are very rare. Draft a guy in the third.

    Just to try and get off the EJ, Marrone treadmill. Why does anyone think the Bill should invest another $4-5 mil in another veteran QB? Far more good WBs are acquired through the draft.

    I'm amazed that anyone thinks they should invest in another veteran QB. How many good QBs are acquired through trades or free agency vs the draft? You forgot Orton, he had the same issues and regressed.

    You are correct sir. Brees was bad enough that they drafted Manning, who had already told them he wouldn't play there, hence the trade with Giants for Rivers.

    Funny, my brother has had direct dealing with Coumo considers him a thug. Coumo is going to have big problems from the fallout of the Sheldon Silver indictment. Shelly knows where all the bodies are buried.

    So McCown had no connection to Bills coaching staff? Wasn't Kromer his OC in Chicago? Wants to mentor Johnny but not EJ? And the Bills are a much better team than the Browns. So that just leaves money, then don't want him anyway. You think the Bills are going to bring in two vet QBs?

    I completely concur. They have to bring in a vet FA, not trafe for somebody. And you have to draft QBs early to mid until you get it right.
