  1. Did anyone else note that Orton had the same issues as Manuel? What was the common denominator? Pick up a vet FA and if there is a guy you like in round three or four take him. Let the best man win the job. Nobody trades a good QB unless they have two and one is in a contract year.
  2. I'd like to see what Goodwin can do in an actual NFL offense.
  3. I think the Bills need a big veteran WR to compliment and mentor our young receiving corp. Of the guys who could be available who best fits the bill?
  4. An aging James Lofton, that most thought was done, completely solidified the Bills offence. I'm all for picking up a guy like Jackson.
  5. Orton's retirement was the second best thing to happen to this team. The first was Marrone quitting.
  6. So do you know Marshall? The Bills need a third WR and they need a big WR that can catch TDs. I don't think he would be particularly expensive. I live in South Florida, so I am aware of the highly publicized incident. I don't want him to date my niece, I want the guy to play football.
  7. You have to build a team. You can win with a good team and an adequate QB. You still have to continually draft QBs. If a solid prospect is there take him. If you get lucky with a franchise QB, you will stay a good team longer.
  8. May not be in the Bears plans. http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fantasyfootball/update/25065953/wr-brandon-marshall-not-sure-hell-be-back-with-bears
  9. I've said this before, at any given time there are only four or five elite QBs in the league. Then there is the group of adequate guys. Guys that can win with a good team around them. Then there is the group of guys that just don't have it. If you don't have one of the elite QBs you have to constantly try and find one. If you have an adequate QB, you still need to take a flyer on guys in the mid to late rounds. If you have a QB that just doesn't have it, then you have to do what it takes to get even an adequate QB. You still have to build a team around him. The odds of winning with adequate QB play with a good team is greater than the odds of finding an elite QB. The problem is this was not the bills approach.
  10. I was home here in FLorida. I was so fed up after Frank threw that interception to start the second half, that I started loading up my windsurfing gear. I was going to the beach to try and wash off the loss. My wife, who is not from western NY and is only a Bills fan because of me, continued to watch. When the Bills scored and then recovered the onside kick, she stopped me. She told me I better come back in and watch, which I did. I love that woman.
  11. I don't like either of those guys. I don't like Cutler. I don't think Bradford is going anywhere. I'd sign Jake Locker, I know, injury prone, but there are guys who have shaken that. Tennessee has been a mess. Maybe the guy needs a change of scenery. I'd also draft a guy, because you never know.
  12. Thanks, that's what I thought. Me neither, don't get me wrong I find Incognito's behavior reprehensible, but he is not being hired to teach first grade.
  13. I keep reading that the Incognito signing is Ryan's deal. Isn't the roster Whaley's responsibility?
  14. Thank you, a few people immediately accused me of lying (brunch guy).
  15. Whining? The trend in the NFL is that RBs are not hard to find, see New England Patiots. Yeah I can see Belichick spending three picks on RBs.
