  1. Speak for yourself. I picked Buffalo in all my survivor pools. Was pretty sure they would win. Blowout, no, didn't expect it, but it was a nice way to win!
  2. I just trimmed the scruff into a beard for the first time in a few years at the beginning of this week. I will probably only last a few weeks but heck, I'll say I'm or board now.
  3. Let the good lord guide us to sweet, glorious victory over said infidels first.
  4. I had a feeling that was the case. Way to kill the humor in it.
  5. I love the current last post (by MIAdragon, page 14): "your and idiot." At least he/she used a period.
  6. He's so intoxicated that the room actually is rotating. I guess that means it's only sliding though.
  7. Here's the problem though. How do they build any other way? From what I've heard, they have pursued a bunch of big name free agents but haven't been able to land them; who wants to play for Buffalo? Also, I can't imagine trades would make the team much better. Our top talent isn't yielding much in return, just look at what they got for Evans and Lynch. Nix and Gailey need to start winning first before they are going to be able to attract any big names. Once they are winning a bit more, the talent on the team will be better trade bait also. Building through the draft is pretty much their only option right now.
  8. Yeah, you basically got the jist of it.
  9. I've been thinking about this for a bit now and, who says teams weren't game planning for Stevie later in the season? We all keep saying the Evans was the #1 receiver, but that was only how he was viewed by Buffalo's offense, not the opposing Defense. If the defenses did learn from the first few games of the season, they would have been keying on Stevie instead of Evans, which then means Evans wasn't even a decoy later in the season, he just wasn't producing. Further, that would show that Stevie has already responded, and responded well, to the #1 role. I have no clue if that's anywhere close to what happened last season, just a thought I am throwing out there.
  10. Do you remember that the Pats TRADED Moss last year? For a 3rd and 7th. I'm willing to be they'll unload Ochocinco in a couple years for a 3rd or 4th as well.
  11. I have to agree. As much as I hate seeing Evan's go, it's best to get something for a player before you can get nothing for him. With the WR corps the Bills have right now, I think the slack can easily be taken up with minimal effect on the pass game production. What is interesting now is how Stevie will perform when he is seeing the majority of double teams....and who becomes the #2, Easley?
  12. He's only been to the pro bowl once, in 2009. Okay, I will. Smith's Pro-Bowl season (2009): 107 rec, 1220 yards, 11.4 yrd/rec, 7 TDs Stevie last season: 82 rec, 1073 yards, 13.1 yrd/rec, 10 TDs yeah, he really blows Stevie out of the water. How about Smith last season vs Roscoe last season? Smith: 9 games (7 started), 48 rec, 529 yrds, 11.0 yrd/rec, 3 TDs Roscoe: 8 games (6 started), 33 rec, 400 yrds, 12.1 yrd/rec, 2 TDs And Roscoe was the 3rd receiver! Oh, and just for reference, Smith's other full season (he's been in the league 4, didn't do anything his first, injured half of last year): (2008) 57 rec, 574 yards, 10.1 avg, 1 TD. And for giggles, compared to Evans' best season: (2006) 82 rec, 1292 yards, 15.8 yrd/rec, 8 TDs or even his second best: (2008) 63 rec, 1017 yards, 16.1 yrd/rec, 3 TDs So what you are saying here is that because Smith got a pro bowl nod for his 2009 season, he is instantly better than Evans, who has shown he can put up comparable numbers. Did you forget that the pro-bowl is a popularity contest? Heck, Wes Welker's season last year (pro-bowl) was pathetic compared to many other top WRs last year, yet he still got in: 86 rec, 848 yards, 9.9 yrd/rec, 7 TDs What does that mean to you?
  13. Why do you think that none of our WR's have made the probowl? Because they lack talent? It's hard to get to the pro bowl when the rest of the offense is poor. With the Bills miserable running game the last few years, the secondary was able key on the WR's, along with not having to dedicate another player to the box to protect run, and hence, our WR's don't get the production needed to get to the pro-bowl. That's not to say that they would make it to the pro bowl with a better running game/O-Line, just that their stats would be much improved if the offense wasn't so one dimensional. It really didn't help during the Jauron years that what type of play about to be run (pass/run) was easily predictable (3rd and long? I bet they pass...yep), and that Trent was at the helm for so long, dumping it off to the RB's, only to see them drop it. Now that Gailey has control and Fitz is at the helm, it was clear last year that our young receivers along with Lee and Stevie are capable of being one of the top 10 WR's corps in the league. The question now is can the offense produce a run game that can take the pressure off the passing game to open up holes for the wr's. TL;DR, Steve Smith wouldn't help much and wouldn't be much of an upgrade.
  14. Guess you missed the point.
  15. ^ What he said.
  16. I grew up with the Red helmet/Charging buffalo and had always been jonesing for a return to the white helmet/standing bison. Now that they've gone with the charging buffalo on the white helmet, I must say, I love it.
  17. I enjoy the fact that Ieatcrayons and ...was it beerball?...had the same icon for a while, so now when I see the icon, I think it's beerball (or whomever talking), but it's complete nonsense.
  18. And this forum is all the better for it.
  19. Yeah, send the Blob back to Texas
  20. #32 Levy Adcock, RT, wouldn't he fit into our line just perfectly? #64 Vaughn Telemaque, FS
  21. Amen to that. I love the "100 Best Players of All-Time" lists or whatever, that go as such: 1. Brady,2. Manning,3. Chris Johnson... Also like the "5 Best Players in the History of the *some sports association that has only been in existence for 2 years*"
  22. I guess she's ok, if you're like, in to citrus based lifeforms or something.
  23. The interview should appear here eventually, isn't there now. I was trying to work and listen at the same time so I didn't absorb much from the interview. -They obviously talked about the Bills teams he coached and he talked about much he liked the players and ownership. -When asked about the lockout, he expressed his disbelief at how the owners/players are letting it persist, yet he did seem like he was partially on the side of the owners -He was actually on to promote a Gala he will be keynoting at St. Joe High in Pittsfield, Mass on May 20th
