That's 4 yards and a pile of dust. Hmm, 1 yard makes quite of difference.

Good post. I agree.

There are lot of doom sayers on the board, and it's not that I don't respect their opinion; it's just that I don't agree. Look at it this way: last year we had the 10th best scoring offense, and considering that the receiver position, with Watkins' out for half the year and sub par for the other 8; Woods missing substantial time, leaving Goodwin as the healthy guy; well, the trio of a healthy Watkins with the additions of Zay Jones, and Andre Holmes just have to be superior. When you add in things like a more seasoned Tyrod, an improved O line, and in all probability better coaching, well, IMO signs look pretty good for a very good offense. On the much criticized D, the switch to a 4-3 is a winner! The line has a good chance to be one of the tops in the league. LB's have new blood with high potential, and the DB's are stronger in 3 of the 4 spots. I know, lots of guys belittle the posts of an admitted optimist, but I believe that with good health, my projections above have an excellent chance at fruition.

Nate Peterman - weak arm? I don't think so!
Deadstroke replied to Deadstroke's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know, I just watched the recording of the Bills no punt game in the early 90's and Jimbo, is by far my favorite QB of all time (here comes the sacrilege) but I'll tell you one thing, Kelly never put much zip on the ball in that game. Of course all he did was throw for like 400 yards. -
There are a lot of comments about Peterman having a noodle arm - accurate, yes, but weak. The consensus is that with less than stellar arm strength he can only progress so far; like back up QB or maybe a borderline starter, with the club necessarily always on the lookout for a better guy who can really get the ball out the way it should be - with plenty of zip. I have watched a ton of Peterman highlights and have always wondered what those naysayers were talking about. In the highlights that I've watched I have seen a lot of 35-45 yarders with what seemed to me to have a good deal of power behind them, and one that was exactly 50 yards, right on the money. I was trying to find that one so I could post it here for all the doubters, but instead found this one. Go to Nate Peterman 2015 Highlights - YouTube and you'll see at the 12:05 mark, a 53 yard toss, from the opponent 45 to his 2, right on the money for a TD, with a 1 step-up delivery. Have a look and then tell me that he'll be limited by his weak arm. You might check out the entire tape to see a lot of excellent throws.

RD 5, Pick 171: Nathan Peterman (QB) - Pitt
Deadstroke replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a vid of him somewhere, if memory serves me right it was about 6 minutes or so in length. Anyway, Peterman throws a deep one with just 1 single step into the throw. Well, guys, I played it over like 4 or 5 times just to make sure I had the distance of the throw calculated right. Yep, exactly 50 yards and pretty much right on the money. Need a bigger arm than that? I don't think so. -
Tyrod: Sammy has "matured"....has a "new mindset"
Deadstroke replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you may forget just how good he is when healthy; like 900 yds in the last 9 games of 2015! The guy is absolutely dynamic when healthy. He's taking it easy now so we hope it translates out to him being in top playing shape.. With that, the top caliber production is a done deal. -
Bills' Rookie Minicamp: May 12-14

Me too. -
The 2 LBs we drafted this year by all accounts are fast! Right. They were both in the mid to high 4.6s. Go figger.

Peterman will be the starter.
Deadstroke replied to r henderson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The only was Peterman plays is if 1) Taylor goes down, or 2) Peterman absolutely lights it up in pre-season while Tyrod is a big time blah. It would be nice though, wouldn't it? -
Third Round Targets @ 75
Deadstroke replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be very happy with WR, LB, OT. As I mentioned in a previous post, those 3 plus CB were my necessity selections. One down, 3 to go. -
Jonathan Williams could be a beast...
Deadstroke replied to Buffalo86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He impressed the crap outta me. I remember seeing those highlights last year but I had kinda forgot. Hmm, adequate replacement. -
why draft a raw QB when we've got Cardale on the roster
Deadstroke replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is one of those hall of fame statements. -
Just want to say that sometimes due to circumstances it may take a while for a receiver to take off. Consider the following stats from Mould's career, paying special attention to the first couple of years, then look at Sammy, taking into consideration his 3rd year injury. Sure, I know things were a bit different back then, but make the comparison. The good and the bad of Goodwin

Thank goodness somebody gets it! -
Good post, my friend. I hope you crossed your heart and said a quick prayer after mentioning that we cannot afford to lose Tyrod.

No Dareus or Sammy? No problem
Deadstroke replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How soon people forget. Sammy was the 3rd most productive player in the entire league over the last 9 games in 2015. In the LEAGUE!! Give him his health he will again be one of the upper echelon WR's in the league. -
Week 5 Predictions: Bills at Rams
Deadstroke replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like your projection. -
I know there are a lot of reasons to doubt the guy; well, actually one big reason - injuries. I am not going to say that he will not get hurt again this year, but just maybe he won't. And if he stays healthy, Goodwin absolutely cannot be covered 1 on 1. Cover him deep, he'll catch 10-12 yarders all day (see Watkins against Revis in game 16). Defend against those short ones and he will be open long; no doubt. The answer to sort of covering him is zone, and that's fine by me because it opens up all kinds of possibilities. Say what you want but Goodwin is dangerous!!

Team restructures E. Woods per Rodak
Deadstroke replied to Ohiostyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Makes sense to me. I can just imagine Gilmore and Darby at the corner with Seymore at the Nickel. Sounds like shut down! -

Just wondering, did he play during the time that he was taking MJ for treatment? Seems like it would make a difference. -
Sully throws in the towel too
Deadstroke replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Where do you get this crap from? Lost 2 Lawson's? Yeah, but 1 is for maybe 6 games, and the other just got beat out for a spot. That means somebody better will be playing. Dareus? Only 4 games! A. Williams He will be back, maybe even opening game. Sammy is fine and poised for a pro-bowl year. Kyle? By all reports he is recovered and ready for the season. Glass half empty, huh? No man, half full!
