On the plus side... [Mario Williams]
todzilla replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice to see Mario coming on strong. I thought the hand injury was a cop out, but it seems like he has been much better since having surgery. As for Dareus being bad yesterday? I thought he looked great. He was in on a ton of plays either right at the line of scrimmage or behind it. The Colts got very few rushing yards up the middle. -
I love the way Moore plays, very active and relentless. If he doesn't grab the face mask on that sack last week, the phins may not have scored any offensive points. Merriman has looked good in there too, getting a pretty decent push to the QB.

I'd say it's this type of original and well crafted commentary by the OP that makes Schopp act the way he does to the callers.

Bills article from Grantland.com. whatever that is
todzilla replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now that's funny! Glad to see some other Grantland fans, It's a must read every day for me. Love Barnwell, the best football writer going IMO. The pop culture stuff is really good too. Mostly top notch writers...Barnwell, Gladwell, Klosterman, Simmons, all very good. -
Bills play 3rd round draft pick more than Spiller
todzilla replied to Damond Talbot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This isn't a very sound premise, that TJ must be better cause he's on the field more, but Spiller needs the ball more. He is so electric and it's clear he is far and away better than anyone else on the offense right now. How he is not getting 20 touches a game is beyond me. I would like to see Graham get a few more touches too. How about just once, he sprints as fast as he can down the sideline and Fitz throws it as far as he can and we see what happens. -
This is crap, he played well enough in a hostile environment, in terrible weather, and against a very good defense to win the game. Flutie may have done the same and I'm not saying I agree with the decision, but to say he sucked ass is wrong. Flutie was not the reason the Bills made the playoffs that season, it was all the defense.

I'm not ready to run Freddy out of town, but I agree that Spiller should be getting the bulk of the carries. He has excelled whenever Jackson is hurt (which has been plenty the last 21 games btw). Spiller has struggled when the carries are split. He seems to have trouble getting into that rythem. Cj is a dynamic home run threat who was consistently breaking off big plays before he hurt the shoulder. Freddy may never come all the way back from 2 knee injuries. He's been a warrior for this team, but if Spiller gives you a better chance to win, he needs to be the guy.

Stop with this back up QB nonsense. We must draft a franchise QB. If the Bills don't finish with a pick high enough, target a team like Carolina or even Cleveland if they like Weeden, and make the move to get the right guy.
-
Not to derail this thread, but I can think of about 12 QB's clearly better than Dalton (not including Newton, RGIII, or Luck, all of whom I would take over Dalton in a heartbeat). I think he falls in the area of 15th-18th best in the league with guys like Schaub, Vick, Bradford. So to me that's average. I like him, and I'll take him over our guy to be sure, but I think he is a middle of the pack guy.
-
Better than Stevie, because he might actually be able to catch some of the ridiculous overthrows. But I get your point.
-
AJ Green is catching balls from a pretty average QB in Andy Dalton, and he may already be a top 3 receiver in the league. I think Stevie would be one of the best #2's around, but he is a middle of the pack #1. Like others said, he is not big and fast enough to just go get the ball no matter where it's thrown. His numbers would be better with a better QB though, for instance the 40 yard TD he should have had last week when he was 10 yards in the open and Fitz chucked it out of bounds.

Boston's 98.5 slams Buffalo and Bills

I have plenty of pride and confidence, thats why it makes me so mad. It's irrational anger I know, but still. -

Ha! Thats exactly what I was gonna say. I know it shouldn't but that just got me so pissed listening to those clowns. -
#BillsMafia getting some press....
todzilla replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is just very inaccurate. The reason for a hashtag on twitter is so you can find all the tweets that are associated with it. I can go on and search #billsmafia and find all the tweets with that on there quick and easy. This group is not out just taunting people that aren't Bills fans. Sure there is some smack talking with other fans, but it's mostly in good fun. So is jboyst62 a family name? -
You're not the only one, but I'm not with you on this one. If he can go out there, you need to have him. It's a long season yes, but this is not just another game, it's a chance to open a 2 game lead on the Pats*. Who's to say he doesn't get hurt his first game back anyway. If he does, Spiller will be back and you go with him. In a sport where every game counts...this one counts even more.

#BillsMafia getting some press....
todzilla replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm glad to see the balance of this even out a bit. I don't "tweet" much but I read twitter a bunch. I've interacted with some of the guys and they have been nothing but nice and friendly. Had a back and forth with Luke Russert because of it. I am in the minority that sort of like Schefter, but it was pretty funny that he got his panties in a bunch over a few people teasing him. -
Another Reason to Not Like Brady
todzilla replied to It's in My Blood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pretty sure he's talking about South Park. Love watching that Carnival dance though! -
Perhaps because he came to Buffalo and had a hall of fame career that included 4 Super bowl appearances. Oh yeah, and now he is a champion for the city. Remember that charity he runs that raises all that money to help children...what a failure.

#BillsMafia getting some press....
todzilla replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't really get the angst toward the group. It's a way for players and fans to interact. People are having fun with it and they are raising a nice chunk of money for Roswell. What's not to like? -
The next six games are brutal - how will we do?
todzilla replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think our O line can punch back with the best of them. I am much less confident about the ability to stop Houston though. Winning one of those 3 games would be great. Any more would be gravy. -

todzilla replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Winning this week goes a long way to possibly splitting the 6 and making the playoffs. Dropping the pats* to 1-3 would be huge in the division. This team can win on the road, a strong defense and great running game makes it possible. -
If we don't throw it deep this Sunday......
todzilla replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Couldn't agree more Webster Guy. They need to take a couple deep shots, even if it's incomplete or even a pick. Keep those safeties honest and respecting the deep ball. And with the running game going so well a nice play action bomb would be perfect. -
