  1. I was thinking of starting a similar thread. He has been very strong the past few weeks. Surround him with a couple of above average OLB's and he'd be even better. One of the few bright spots and guys I think will be a part of the team for the long term.
  2. But this is fantasy football finals week, what are all the Fitzpatrick and Evans owners going to do?
  3. I thought he looked very good in run blocking. I kept my eye on him more than I usually do with lineman. He did a real nice job handing off blocks and moving forward to block the lb.
  4. This type of comment never ceases to amaze and frustrate me. But I guess we all get to choose what kind of fan we want to be, even a misguided one like yourself.
  5. I've talked myself into being excited for it. I figure this and the Colts game are as close to playoff games as we get. Plus I just hate the pats so much, I want to see that confused look on belicheats face when he fails on another 4th down. Parrish is gonna break a punt for a TD this week.
  6. Speak the truth? Maybe, but how about not using a gramatical disaster twitter blast saying he suks balls. How about just writing it on the bathroom wall instead. Mitchell is a moron.
  7. I know it's too early, but if Levitre could bulk up a bit and be a legit LT, and we had a line of Levitre-Incognito-Hangartner-Wood-Butler........with Simmons, Merideth, and Scott for depth, thats not bad. Of course Wood needs to get healthy, but this could work.
  8. I'd give my vote to Cushing, but all three have been very good. I'm just glad we got one of them.
  9. People always have these trade ideas, but really, trades rarely happen. Players are overvalued by the fans for the most part. Could we really expect to get better than a 3rd rounder for either Lynch or McKelvin (I would rather not trade either btw). I'm also curious what makes McKelvin a not so smart guy, other than most peoples opinion that he should have taken a knee on the kickoff.
  10. Thats pretty interesting.....and frustrating. I'd still be okay with Wood at 28. I think he was excellent all year and if he can come back okay, we are in good shape at guard for awhile. We hit on 3 or the top 4 picks, but if we had taken Oher or Orakpo at 11, what a draft it would have been. Don't remember what overall pick Levitre was, but was Loadholt available? That would have been nice too.
  11. I like him. He was really starting to show something towards the end of last year and didn't have enough time to get it going this year. I think Florence has been the unsung hero this year. If he plays that well next year with McGee and Leo, we will continue to have a top secondary. Jackson's returns are the stangest thing ever. He looks so slow and deliberate, but seems to break a 35+ yarder every week.
  12. I'd take Grimm. I don't know that he is markedly better than Fewell though. Martz is not good, keep him away. Billick is okay, but I don't think he is as good as his reputation. They need to get a quality GM in there and let him decide.
  13. I can drink the hell out of it......so I say yes, Drinkability by the can full.
  14. This thread is making me thirsty for a cold Labatt.
  15. I'm not a big Phil Simms fan, but that sounds about as accurate a read as you can have on Tebow. And Simms is certainly not getting blinded by the hype. It probably ticks Simms off to hear people say that the kid can be a good QB just because he is a good guy and strong leader.
  16. I don't blame the guy for taking the job (though I think it is a coach killer). It's just a shame that the nature of college football forces the decision to be made now and not when the bowl season is over.
  17. This just shows how messed up college football is, and how little a non title bowl means. The team is 12-0 with a chance to finish #2 in the polls and he just takes off. Why can't they finish the season first. If there was a playoff, he would certainly be staying to try and win the National Title. But this proves every other bowl game is meaningless. I feel sorry for the players who have busted their a$$es all year long.
  18. I guy like Cushing would have been nice, but ultimately we would probably still be sitting at 4-8, maybe 5-7 at best. And if Maybin pans out (I'm still hopeful), a pass rusher is almost always more valuable than a LB. James Harrison had 4 total sacks between 2002 and 2006....He has 34.5 since. Give Maybin some time.
  19. I'd vote for Suh with Gerhardt finishing a close second. Suh is a dominating, unblockable freak. I'd punch my sister in the face to get him on the Bills (well, maybe not in the face, but I'd really like to get him).
  20. Oh, and the commish should leave him alone....$30,000 for putting on a sombrero and poncho for a couple minutes on the sideline, give me a break.
  21. Honestly, I love the guy. I think he is good for the sport, he has fun playing a game for a living and I like that. Some of his antics and celebrations aren't all that funny but thats okay. He stays out of trouble with the law and he is not mean spirited about anything. I'd take him on the Bills in a heartbeat, certainly for his talent, but also for entertaining personality.
  22. I take most things that a GM/Operations guy says with a grain of salt anyway. Polian might see him as a valuable addition and wants him to be there for his 2nd round pick. Not sayin I want him on the Bills, but I wouldn't put alot of stock in what he is saying right now.
  23. I'm still shocked that there are only 4 Colts that have played on another team. Amazing job building a winner. Picking Manning was his decision so how is that lucky. Lots of people thought Leaf was better. Sure it's nice to have the number 1 pick, but you have to do it right. Look how many times it gets screwed up: Russell, Couch, Alex Smith, David Carr, Jeff George, and thats just the QB's.
  24. I'll still watch and cheer like always. Heck, this is a game we might win so that makes it more fun than most to me. I'd also like to see Brohm get some time, even if it was just a couple series' to get his feet wet.
  25. Somebody is gonna pay $50 for that thing? So what do you think, is it just an AJ Hawk figure painted over?
