A Sleeper Who is Perfect For Us

Sure, he is not Tommie Harris, but they are pretty similar. Look at Tommie Harris' pro day numbers: Harris (292 pounds), ran his 40s in 4.78 and 4.80, the short shuttle in 4.31 and the three-cone drill 7.31. He had a 31-inch vertical jump and his broad jump was 9-0 1/8. He chose not to lift here because he did 29 reps at the combine. Pretty similar numbers. Harris was an inch taller and less than 10 pounds heavier when he was at his pro day. How many other 6'2 283 DT that you can compare with Clinton? Therefore a Tommie Harris comparison should be considered "appropriate". -
Should I Lock Out Tyson Jackson?
TheBuffaloBills replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Those weren't really highlights. DraftParty makes many videos of players in the 2009 draft. He watches the game, and compiles plays were you could see the player's style of play. They're more like clips rather than highlights. -
Should I Lock Out Tyson Jackson?
TheBuffaloBills replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is too big to play 4-3 DE. I hate our style of D, but we have to stick with it. We can't implement some 3-4 D into our finesse 4-3 D. We must strictly stay at our style of 4-3. If we were a 3-4, then we should look at him, but we're not. -

One of the most common weaknesses for DT, is that they "take plays off". He may be undersized, and won't be a good fit for many defenses, but he is a great fit for our style of D. -
Freeman will be the biggest bust in this years draft. Mark it down.

And we all know how much the Bills love versatility. He could be a young, better Spencer Johnson -

Everyone goes through it. A player's stock is greatly impacted by the combine and pro days. Without the combine and pro days, Cutler would have been a 2nd round pick. Maurice Clarett would have been picked a lot higher than he was without the prodays and combine. I could go on and on and give you examples on how important those two events are. -
I like Matthews alot more than Cushing right now. If we trade down to the 20's, Matthews will most likely still be on the board. He is physical, and a great coverage guy. I believe it was Mike Mayock who said Matthews covers like a Safety and catches the ball like a WR.

Bears get Cutler! He goes to the NFC.

Wow, can anyone find me the interview of Josh McDaniels with I believe Tom Jackson. It is like two weeks old, right when the dust seemed like it was settled. Josh McDaniels says something like, "I guarantee Jay Cutler is our QB next year". I want to watch it, and laugh at it. -

I'm sure he could add a little extra weight onto his frame. -
Clinton McDonald, DT from Memphis. He is on the smaller side at 6'2 280 LBS, but he won't get manhandled. He was voted team captain as a Junior, the first ever Junior Tiger voted team Captain. He played in 10 games and registered 7 sacks (missed a few games due to an ankle injury.) The Tigers just held their Pro day, and look at these numbers McDonald had: "DT Clinton McDonald (6-2, 283 pounds) ran a 4.89 and 4.83 in the 40, had a 38-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot, 1-inch broad jump, a 4.50 short shuttle, a 7.25 three-cone drill and did 36 bench press reps. He looked good and definitely helped himself. – Gil Brandt" http://blogs.nfl.com/2009/04/01/catching-u...ro-day-outings/ Those are some amazing numbers for a DT, big or small. Watch this video about him: Normally those videos by DraftGuys show the flaws in players, but McDonald looked really good out there. Look at how he could bull rush his way into the backfield, and use his quickness to get by the lineman. He is a class act, and has respect for the game. If I had to compare him with an NFL player, I would say Tommie Harris. They both have similar sizes, both athletic and very strong. He is the perfect fit for our Defense.

TE Cornelius Ingram

I think he has the potential to be a top 5 TE in the NFL. He is extremely athletic, and has all the tools. I would have like to see him play in '08. He could have been a sure top 20 pick if he played last year. However, I like Chase Coffman more. -

How are those two reaches? I highly doubt EB will even be there for our pick at eleven. Maualuga is a way bigger reach than EB. Peria Jerry won't be there in the second for us. -
I never thought I would stick up for Pettigrew, but he isn't a receiving TE. In fact, I don't have him rated as a top five receiving TE. His blocking is what makes him worthy of a first round pick. He will improve the running game and passing game.

I don't want to keep changing a developing player's position. If Bell played decent at RT, and then we moved him to LT, its not that easy. Having a RT change to a LT throws everything off, its like a completely different position.
