Things that you just don't do.
EastRochBillsfan replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, first of all, I must say congrats for what arguably is the best thread of the year. secondly, Bangarang, on 01 February 2011 - 08:55 PM, said: You don't have sex with your girlfriend's sister in the same house as your girlfriend in the middle of the afternoon.(without a rubber) ....fixed. ....and, you never let Pat Williams go for any reason. no how, no way. ....or re-sign Dick jauron. -
Steelers approach vs. Tom Modrak
EastRochBillsfan replied to David D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't blow by anything you wrote. i know you like wood and never once in my post said otherwise. but you just don't like him at a first round pic. it's not rocket science and contrary to what you think I have a pretty good comprehension of the English language. I am simply saying the 28th pic of a draft to get the one of the top 2 rated centers(i know they moved him to guard) in the league is just fine with me and I could possibly argue a good many other posters. Every position on the line is important as far as I am concerned and you get your impact players whenever you can. In fact, I think getting Wood at #28 is almost a steal. just my opinion. and apparently somewhat different than yours. All I know is I am glad we got a good guard who is about to become a kick ass center in the nfl and I don't give a rats ass where we picked him in the draft. -
"Best Player Available"
EastRochBillsfan replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
pure genious ghost. not being sarcastic. nice post kelly I agree. And I'm pretty sure the Bills knew that they might need/want to get rid of Lynch but obviously couldn't say that publicly. i liked/like the player, but as I like to say,he was one blunt away from a big suspension. So to all of you who keep saying, a year later mind you, that rb wasn't a need, I say hogwash. Mr Weo, respectably speaking, give it a rest. It's not like this hasn't been debated 10 times already but i'm pretty sure the concensus on this board was that the thought was the seahawks 4th would be close to new orleans pic, plus we'd get a conditional 5th or 6th. At the time, 2 players sure looked better than one. So i just don't agree with you assessment that we got screwed in that deal. And them offering a 3rd is just rumor anyways. Don't agree with what you said about troupe either. not a reach at all. I'm glad we didn't take fat man cody. When it's all said and done, I think there will be a lot of starters from this draft on this team. Spiller, Troupe, Carrington, Easley and Moats. Plus the undrafted guys, jones and nelson. Either way, I thought everyone knows you really don't know how good a draft is for a good 2-3 years? So we won't know who is right for another year or two. so sit tight. -
Steelers approach vs. Tom Modrak
EastRochBillsfan replied to David D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My God, are you really criticizing the Bills for taking Eric wood with a first round pic? #28 no less. He was considered one of the best centers coming out of that year. I guess the Bills just can't do anything right. sigh.(there really should be an emoticon for sigh)...they do have one of these though. here is a qoute from wikipedia. "Alongside Alex Mack, Wood was considered one of the best centers available in the 2009 NFL Draft.[4] He has been compared to Brad Meester by The Sporting News,[5] but his instincts and "nastiness" on the field had scouts comparing him to the NFL's old time centers like Mike Webster of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Tim Grunhard of the Kansas City Chiefs" -
Modrak gets endorsement from RW & Buddy Nix
EastRochBillsfan replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+1 And you don't have a frickin clue where Modrak had him rated either. Assume all you want but it doesn't prove a thing. -
Unbelievable, isnt it? These threads with the whiners whining are getting really hard to read. Spiller has a ton of talent guys. He is not a bust after just one season. Just stop the silly talk. Gailey even said it in an interview, "we won't be having this conversation in year 5". And personally, I don't think we'll be having this conversation after next year. But just keep on whining. It's what you do.

2011 East West Shrine Game
EastRochBillsfan replied to bills1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well in your haste to bash our coach it should be noted that Dan reeves and Wade Phillips are coaching this game and our coach is coaching the senior bowl. Nice try though. -
AJ Green is available when the Bills Pick....
EastRochBillsfan replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, thats not enough. Throw in the their second and I'd think hard about it. -
Well, we DID just sign Shawn Merrimen to a 2 year extension who this thread is about and who many said would never re-sign with Buffalo. And it's been said that's what he thought at first..........hmmm, leads me to believe anything is possible.

Youse guys is welcome aboard
EastRochBillsfan replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
what part of "lighten up" didn't you understand? Do I have to believe this guy is "for real" to play along? and Albany I agree with the others, that was good. -
I think that's what we do here everyday. minus the demeaning of opinions expressed part, of course.

And then there were 36.
EastRochBillsfan replied to Typical TBD Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's wrong with McIntyre? he's a good fullback and special teams player. I hope he doesn't go anywhere. -
Youse guys is welcome aboard
EastRochBillsfan replied to Jimmy Spagnola's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh lighten up Francis. His occassional visits are rather fun. AND, one of the only things that bring us all together. Jimmy, congrats on beating the snot out of belicheat and company. thuraly enjoyed it. And I even hope yous guys win next week against the steelers, but not for why you might think. just so yous guys can feel the pain of losing a superbowl. But hey, it's only a game. As you can see from reading the Bills board, the pain of losing a superbowl eventually goes away. There is nothing wrong with the chant "we're number too." -
Whitner coming un-hinged?
EastRochBillsfan replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hahahahahaha.......ok..... like I said, obviously you don't see anthing wrong with your statements, but hey, you stated the truth so it must be ok. this board lacks a lot of class at times, that was the point -
Down go the Cheatriots
EastRochBillsfan replied to bills_fan_in_raleigh's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I couldn't figure out who I wanted to win this game, but now that the jets beat the snot out of brady and company i must say, it feels pretty good. Now the tough decision is do the jets lose in the superbowl or next week at pittsburg? I have a lot of jerk pittsburg fan friends. I think I'd rather pitt loses next week so they can't even say their team went to the big dance. And then the jets get heartbroken by losing the superbowl. Yea, that sounds like a winner. -
Whitner coming un-hinged?
EastRochBillsfan replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Isn't embarrassing? lets look at what you said. "Hey Donte, because you seem to know what the fans ask for, I hope u read this. MAN THE F*CK UP! Stop acting like a b*tch! If you were that good the bills would have resigned you already, but they never said they weren't going to. Be a man and look at yourself and ask yourself do you deserve 7mill or whatever outrageous money you're asking for. Geez, what a a**hole! And yeah they ask you to play multi positions, but when they ask u to play yours, you f*cking can't! Get some nutzs and do your talking on the field! You f*cking cornball!" Let's see. Stop acting like a B word yea, classy. Obviously you don't see anything wrong with those statements so it's really no use to try to convince you otherwise. if you're reading daunte, most of us aren't like this and appreciate the effort you have given to the Bills. -
Whitner coming un-hinged?
EastRochBillsfan replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even if this is true, which I don't believe it is, it is no reason to treat the man like crap. He is one of our own and some of the stuff that comes out of people's mouths(like qdawg in philly earlier) are just rude an uncalled for. It makes the rest of us decent fans look bad. I really don't like being lumped in with all the asses out there. -
Whitner coming un-hinged?
EastRochBillsfan replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
THIS, made me laugh. but....see below. Most definitely agree with all of this. This is a big part of his problem. He just won't shut up. I can't stand twitter. I'd be leaving if I were him if I read this board. it's hard sometimes just being a fan and reading this board. I can only imagine how it would make a player feel. And YES -
All of these Defense Coordinators getting fired
EastRochBillsfan replied to Chuckknox's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nope, I'm pretty sure your post gets dumbest award now. And most annoying. San Jose already addressed this but let me add my 2 cents. 1) who says Gailey made a mistake by switching to the 3-4, you? I'd guess 90% of us fans thought it was a good idea and the reasons Gailey stated for the switch are sound. They started getting the personell to make the switch but it'll take more than one off season. And like san jose said, you don't know what role Wanny would play. Either way, as Gailey said, we won't be strictly playing a 3-4 . They will play 4-3 and variations of everything. So I just don't see how Wanny wouldn't help this situation. 1a) It's funny how you are saying gailey won't admit he was wrong about switching to the 34, but you are defending the switch saying we would lose a years worth of whatever they gained. So is gailey wrong, or should we stay in the 34? 2) hogwash. Gailey's the headcoach and if he wants to bring in Wannstedt in whatever capacity he feels is in the best interest of the team, so be it. If Edwards isn't on board then I'm sure he can find his way to the door. It's not as if we were stopping anyone most of the year. 3)How do you know wanny wants high end dc money and to be asst head coach? It's nice you can get into the mans head and know what he is thinking. And you guys with the ralph is cheap crap are killing me. We are in a small market and can't dole out what some of the dallas' and redskins' do, but the man has spent plenty of money in his years. maybe not as wisely as we would have liked, but he Has spent it. So you are just plain wrong there. 4) Yea, I can see it now. Ralph telling Gailey, "hey coach, go see if you can get wannstedt to come for an interview so we can look like we are trying to do whatever we can do get this orginization back to respectability. We are not going to hire him, but if we look like we might, we'll sell a lot more season tickets next year. really coach, this is best for the team." I gotta say your #4 point was probably the stupidest thing I've read in awhile bunch of crapola is right ok. i feel better now. -
Yea, Like we don't have enough of his type on the board already. (and if you take offense to that sentence I guess you resemble that remark.) I am optomistic by nature but regardless(or is it irregardless? I know some of you prefer that) I am looking forward to this off season. We have our first year with the new regime behind us, and the rebuild should be accellerated this season as we should know what we have at every position and what we need. and we don't have to learn new schemes. Our rookies have a year under their belts and should contribute more in their second season. So with any luck we have an awesome draft and get a couple good free agents this year, maybe add a Wanny to the coaching staff, and we should see a fairly big improvement next season. If there is a next season. Go BILLS!

How to Draft Andrew Luck
EastRochBillsfan replied to Ozymandius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The sad thing is that I read the whole post. I would ask if you are serious, but I know you are. I...I..am at a loss for words. And anyone that agrees with ozzy about trading our best player in Kyle Williams is just as nuts as he is. If you want Luck so bad, how about we send whatever draft picks we need to next year to trade up to get him? -
good news we still can draft Andrew Luck
EastRochBillsfan replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wish I could put people on my ignore list.......but then there wouldn't be too much to read around here. Well said -
Dave Wannstedt expected to talk to Bills
EastRochBillsfan replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leave it to you to turn what many of us consider a good develpment into a negative. Maybe they aren't going to replace edwards but add to him. And maybe Gailey wanted Wanstedt last year but he wasn't available so he went with his second choice, someone familiar with a scheme change. As for going with Trent, big deal. We all know he looked best in pre-season but failed in live games. All the qb's were close in the competition as was stated. He moved on the the next qb fast and it turned out pretty good. Spiller starting was because the other guys were hurt in pre-season. Then Lynch was showcased so he could be traded. Again, big deal. And for switching to the 3-4, most here were all for the change. And Chan from the beginning said it wouldn't be a complete switch. So again, big freaking deal. Gailey and Nix are trying to improve the team. This is a good thing. Stop your bitchin.
