I'm pretty sure Merriman just signed a 2 year contract. But either way, he hasn't been on the field much in awhile so I think he'll be motivated regardless. I feel we have the offensive line to be something to look forwrd to. I'm pretty sure Bell has been working on his strength this off season so he should be improved this year, especially in the run game. We have Wood looking like he's going to be center now. I think they are hoping Pears takes the Rtackle spot w/Hairston pushing him and urbik the guard, with Hang filling in where needed. I see improvement and some depth with this squad. We can only hope anyways.

I cant speak for anyone else, but i have not come back to baseball ever since the strike. I'll watch a little here and there and some playoffs/world series. But the strike really turned me off to baseball. I guess it's a good thing seeing how I like the Mets. Anywho, I am a fan off football more however, and I don't think this labor dispute will have any affect on supporting my BILLS.

Now I never said that about supporting the Bills and equally supporting the owner. I said with your disdain for the owner I can't see what fun it is for you to follow the team. I really have to disagree with the highlighted part. I believe the new regime knew that Marshawn wasn't in their plans. Too many off-field distractions and like I always say, one blunt away from a year long suspension. So, if I am correct in my thinking that this is what the Bills brass were thinking, then rb does become a "need". Also, what makes you think that they drafted him to be a "part time" running back? This kid is going to get plenty of touches as time goes on, mark my words. And I have to believe Nix/Gailey drafted him to be more than just a part time player.

I don't get all the grief Ralph gets from all the Bills faithful. Maybe he has picked some of the wrong people to run the show, but the man is responsible for bringing the team we love and follow so closely to Buffalo. I think he should be commended for that. And for his loyalty for keeping the team here. You Ralph Wilson haters should be ashamed of yourselves. Like he owes you anything. So, I feel it is a fair trade. When we pick miller, no one qoutes bpa, and thoner doesn't biatch about someone rated by maybe,and i'm guessing here, 90% of the pundits, as a top 3 pick in this draft. Not a "concensus", but when most people are saying it there should be a little merit to it. No Thoner, but he is reading between the lines and that's the way I see it too.

(Not to change the subject) As for Fitz working out with the boys, you gotta love the guy. That's what you want, or at least what I want , from my starting qb. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll continue to get better and we won't need anyone else for awhile. Regardless, it's a positive sign to see Fitz and the receivers putting in the extra effort.
