no, this is true. we don't know for sure. but there ARE clues. It does seem fairly obvious to me lynch doesn't want to be here but do not mistake this as me stating it is fact. It is purely my opinion. First of all we have his problems here in buffalo that I'm sure he'd just like to forget. is it possible all the attention from that stuff has made him uncomfortable here? He lost his starting job to freddie. that could be a blow to his pride. But yes, to me , not coming to "voluntary" workouts is a big red flag. Not always but in this case I think it does. There are new coaches and new plans being implemented and if he was really, truly dedicated to this team, I think he would be here. This is strictly my opinion and i could be wrong, but i don't think so. i think we will find out soon enough. probably by friday night. Personally, i like Lynch and think he is a good back, but I can understand why he might want a fresh start somewhere else. And for me, I say if you don't want to be here, I sure an hell don't want you here.

I'm with the majority here. Modrak is in charge of scouting. I'm pretty sure he's not the one making the pic. why don't you wait till after the draft, this draft without jauron,donahoe,or marv, before you throw him under the bus. I think the Nix/gailey draft will be a pleasant surprise.

Hey BillsVet, he asked my why I felt the team was different and I answered the question. pure and simple. sorry if my answer wasnt to your liking or had things you have heard before. calling a spade a spade, what the hell is that supposed to mean? I am totally opposite than him. and you. the poster is miserable. he is titled to his opinion but like I said, nothing is going to make him, or you, happy. all those things i stated, are they not positives ?can't you guys find anything you like about the changes? to make a new thread complaining about the jets signing taylor and getting so much better than the bills is just annoying. its the same thing over and over with you negative ones. do we get a new thread for every player signed by the other teams? its a couple days from the draft its supposed to be a happy time. we are just about to get a huge influx of talent, isnt that something to be happy and excited about? and so what wilson is still in control of who the face of the franchise is. its his frickin team. yes, he's made some bad pics and decisions. but he's made some good ones in the past also. we all liked Donahoe at first. Bill Polian of course. Butler. nix is his choice now. and he picked Gailey. so thats what we got now. you can do 3 things. get behind them and support them and give them a little while to impose their plan. or you can B word and complain all the time that they suck because you know better. or you can just go follow another team. if you guys cant find anything good about our team then really, why stick around? if they upset you so much, why do you put up with it? is all the complaining going to change anything? do you think they are looking on this board for our input? gailey said it best, "don't tell me about the labor pains, just show me the baby." winning is the only thing that'll shut up the nay sayers and I seriously doubt even that will do it. you know what, i'm just gonna put you on the list of people who just don't get it.

I'm not going to quote your whole rant. it was hard enough to read the first time. If you don't want to spend any money and miss out on the energy at the RALPH, that is your perogative. why stop there? why not just stop watching them altogether? and while you're at it, root for someone else. we don't need you here. OR, you could room up with Billsfreak and you could have each other to complain to.

Billsfreak, do you HAVE any OPTIMISM? yes,my first paragraph was totally sarcastic and meant to be. if you think its childish, that really doesn't bother me. what really was childish was the post where you said you were a bigger fan than me.(i'm pretty sure that was you- if not, my sincere apologies).the people who think the opposite of you may find my sarcasm entertaining. but there are a certain few of you on tsw that are just so totally negative and depressing and very infrequently does anything positive come out of your guys mouths. and frankly, it just really gets old. I find it hard to believe that ANYTHING the Bills do will please you. to me its just a sad way to live life. there are many positives to build on here, instead many just dwell on the negatives. do you really think you can build a better team than nix/gailey? these guys have lived their lives around football and i'm pretty sure they know much more than any of us fans on how to build a winning team for the long hall. i totally disagree its the same team. there have been many changes. i will list what i feel are positives. 1. jauron was fired. he sucked and cost this team dearly. so addition by subtraction. 2. a new coach was hired. not the flashy name we were looking for. but i like this guy so far. he's had a winning team at all levels wherever he has gone. seems like a straight shooter. I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and give him a couple years to see what he can do. see if he has good game plans,good game day decisions,makes his players accountable. 3. we have a GM! russ brandon wasnt. marv wasnt too good at it. is it a big name guy, no. but this guy did well with the bills years ago and well with SD and has been around football all his life. I feel he is going to be a positive addition . he knows what he wants to do and is doing it. it may not be what some of you experts want(oh my childish sarcasm again-oops). but again, i am going to put my trust in someone like him and not joe shmo fans on here who think they know what they are doing. he is much more qualified than any of us and I like what he is doing so far. 4.T0 is gone. Did that really make a big difference last year? personally, and i know I have quite a few people that will agree with me here, didnt think he was all that great. dropped some balls, didnt go after others cost us a few ints because of it. dont think he was worth 6.5 million that is for sure. Yes terrel would maybe be an ok option but it would be at the cost of our other players being developed. hardy may be good given a chance. won't know with him riding the pines. I honestly believe S. Johnson will be awesome. The guy can play. and roscoe, i'm pretty sure he wasnt used in the proper fasion and think he'll excell with a compitant coach. nix or gailey said that they look at some of our players differently than some of us fans do and the recievers could be one example of that. now josh reed, i am sorry to see him go. He was one of my favorite playes. an awesome blocker, usually reliable and almost always good for a first down. I'm not sure why they let him go. but no one has picked him up yet. not even new england. they still may, but if he was THAT good i think he would have been signed by now. so is it a big deal? i think not. 5. i realize the bills havent made too many free agent aquisitions, but they said this right from the get go. I think they want to go younger and be able to pick the people they want and mold them the way they want to. we all know the redskins never made it work and i cant really think of any team that HAS bought itself a championship. could we have maybe added a few more playes. yes. but its apparent these guys have a plan. I dont think jason taylor would have put us over the top this year.do you? its fine for the jets to try something like this because thet are much closer than us. but in no way does it guarantee them a damn thing. the problem with finding short term solutions to problems is that they are short term solutions. they need to find long term solutions if we are to stay competitive for awhile. 6. they got rid of the T.V.'s! 7. we still have the draft. and then i gotta listen to all the people who didnt like who they picked. God I hope they have a good draft that everyone likes but realistically that aint going to happen. I can see them picking spiller or someone many feel we dont need and tsw melting down after that. I personally want the best player available with a nod going to the needs. will i be upset if spiller gets picked? no. i think he's a gamer. do i want a left tackle? yes, but if the one available isnt much better than what will be available later in the draft, i'd like to upgrade anywher we can. 8. dwan edwards was more than a role player. he was one of the better free agents available. and andra davis is no slouch. now i will give you this, cornell green may be a role player. but we had a huge hole to fill and he should fill it ok till we get someone else. 9. we have 2, yes two, strength and conditioning guys and got rid of one that obviously wasnt helping. ok i guess i am done for now. I don't expect to change your mind. its doom and gloom for you. I wouldnt be so sarcastic if there was ever something positive you wrote but its pretty rare.there are a handfull of people that are like you here on tsw. you guys can all hang out and be depressed together. Misery loves company . I like our direction. we havent had a direction in so long. so you can be your usual negative self, and I will remain my postive self and life will go on. Whoa is me. our poor bills are gonna suck.its gonna be a looooong year. everyone is getting better than us. we are not doing anything. our front office sucks .our head coach sucks. our scouts suck. our gm sucks.our owner sucks and is cheap and makes the wrong picks in the draft. the team is going to move. we play games in toronto. it snows and is cold in western ny. waawaaawaaa. you know what, the team we put on the field is going to be far more competitive than the team last year and far more fun to watch. so I, for one, am looking forward to this season. I don't buy your guys doom and gloom and will have no part of it. this team will bring their lunch pails on sunday and go to work. and at the end of the day, that will count for something.

Nice post . especially your last line why would Spiller "not help the team?" He's a homerun threat evrytime he touches the ball. scoring points won't help the team?....and you are probably the only one in the world who doesnt think he is a 1st rounder. pretty much the consensus best back from what i have heard and seen. so how many hours does modrak spend in florida working? or in buffalo? or out scouting? do you know what he does at home when he is working? is he watching tape? does he have to be in buffalo to do that? do you really have the answers to any of these questions? and for buddy- just because he was here doesnt mean he was in charge of the pic. I'm surmising it was jauron. maybe it was ralph like some people on here believe. who knows? and besides, we still dont know about maybin, he could turn out to be a great lb. but unlike last year, Nix is gm now and he will be in charge of the pic so we're gonna find out just how much has changed, arent we?! as for the same 6 scouts-we had a pretty good draft last year wouldnt you say, other than the maybin pic? wood,levitre,byrd,nelson. maybe the scouts wanted oher or orakpo? so , to say the least, I view our team a bit differently than you do.

sorry. missed the last year part. That I do agree with. and they shoulda played Brohm the last game to get a better handle on what he can do. If I was Ralph, I woulda made sure that happened. but alas, I am just a pion(how do u spell that?) fan.

at # 9 I think there are a few guys who would be safe pics if they are there ; spiller, Bulaga and trent williams, McClain,and derick morgan. and someone i really like if we could trade back a little would be Iupati. I know many of you dont think we need another guard but he would give us great depth /insurance if wood doesnt come back. or down the road move wood back to center.

TO just isnt that great anymore and i really don't want the bills to sign him again. practice and training camp IS where u evaluate your talent. and pre-season. Steve Johnson has looked like he's ready to be a good reciever in my opinion from what i have seen. hardy not so much but he has been hurt too. but with owens in the line up these other recievers just won't get too many reps. and experience is the best way to get better don't you think? so it's time to give the other guys a chance to shine. they just may surprise you. I have a WINNING attitude, but it just doesn't have a half washed up owens in its plans.

You're always saying it's Ralph. That is the crap i refer to. If there is such a mountain of evidence, surely you can find a qoute or an article to back this up. I'll make it easy on you, just give me ONE. From what I can tell, people just surmised this and then posters just give it a life of its own. Now, if you were talking Al Davis, I would agree with you. And with him, you could find plenty of proof. But what you are spewing as fact is not, it is purley conjecture.

You hit the nail on the head here. I don't think there is one Bills fan out there that doesnt know we need a left tackle. but if the one they like isn't there and somebody that they think is much better IS there, why the hell should they reach? Some of you guys just cant get that through your thick skulls. they will address the left tackle position, it just may not be were some of you deem it should be. I will leave it to the experts.

I kinda think the opposite is true. I feel the bills need to know we can get Spiller before we trade Marshawn. If we trade him before, then everyone knows we could be looking rb with our first pick and they might try to trade ahead of us to get spiller. and then we are screwed. well, we still could get someone later but I feel spiller is the upgrade we would be looking for. If we wait and Spiller is there for us, then we try to trade lynch. Phili had 3 qbs and did ok trading 1 of them. The worst that happens is we have 3 very good running backs. and somewhere down the road someone will need him and give us fair value. otherwise we keep him. That's my take on all that.

I happen to like Marshawn and think he is a great player. But i don't think he wants to be here. All the evidence suggests this. If he wants to stay and contribute, then he should get his ass in camp and get to work. if not, they should get a good pic for him and move on.

Please tell me how you know this? It's just like when you people say Ralph is behind certain pics. I have never seen proof of any of that. granted, maybe ralph gives his blessing on pics,but we really don't know what role he plays in the draft process. To say overdorf makes more decisions than he gets credit or blame for is pure conjecture on your part and if you don't have proof of that being true, please leave it out of your argument. and to the second highlighted part. other than Modrak how is this not a house cleaning? most of the coaches have changed, a 70 year old gm(I dont care if its his first gm job and hes 70-hes been around the nfl a vey long time and has a good football resume) . hiring Nix puts Brandon back at the job he belongs and leaves the football desicions to the football people(ok-so that is a shuffle.but a good shuffle). There have been plenty of good draft pics in Modraks time here, we don't know how much influence other people have had in our drafting,i.e. maybe it was jauron who pushed getting maybin so I am not as down on modrak as others. But i don't see this as shuffling of chairs. there are many new butts sitting in them chairs than last year and you guys need too relax and not want instant gratification. lets these guys do the job they were hired to do. At least let them put a team on the field before you declare we havent made enough changes for your liking.
